Hei is...well, he's still a young kid and as such still has a lot to learn. He's a bit of a hot headed kid with a heart of gold, really. A very big heart of gold. He would do anything for the ones he loves, and would jump into any kind of situation without thinking, if it meant it was for his friends. That's where the hot headed part comes in. The monks of the air bending aren't very pleased with how fast he can loose his cool, but hey, not all the flowers in a flower bed can be similar you know.

Even though he has a few difficulties following the rules of the monks, his heart is still in the right place. He is kind hearted, and generous with an awkward way of showing it. He doesn't do the things he does for compliments of rewards and he is a bit of a guy who can get flustered quickly. He can be quite flirty, though.

He is a guy who knows how to have fun, in a good way. He isn't a bad influence. He's just a laid back genius who doesn't have to do much, and can be a tad bit cocky about it too.

Overall, he is just a hotheaded little guy with a big heart of gold and a very good sense of humour and sarcastic remarks.

{backstory}
Hei was born into a loving family. Not much is known, as he refuses to talk, but both his parents had died in a feud between benders of other elements. He grew up in the whaletail village, where the villagers took care of him, but he was an adorable yet bratty kid, who started making people frustrated, though there was no denying he was still adorable. He was a prodigy in a way, the way his powers developed so fast, but he has yet to find the balance between his powers, as he can sometimes knock himself off his feet when his power sort of short circuits. He was a bit of a hot headed kid, but he was quite kind to the other little kids in the village. The small children often viewed him as a big brother, and he was quite protective of them too. He was a carefree Lad, and even if someone bullied him about having no parents, he just wouldn't pay any attention, but instead he would simply mind his own business. He was good at making friends, and made quite a few from the neighbouring water tribe village, though, recently there had been strains of tensions between his village and the water village. Nonetheless, he still likes to keep his friendships intact.

Hei closed his eyes and tried to do it again. Taking in a lungful of air, he slowly exhaled, trying to feel the air around him. He could feel it this time. The direction the light breeze was flowing in. He pictured it in his mind, as grey lines, and imagined twisting and curving those grey lines. And as soon as he drew it up in his imagination, he slightly felt the direction of the air flow changing, exactly how he had depicted it in his mind. There, he finally did it. Opening his eyes with a big and bright grin on his face, he directed the air around him, in a circle, before pushing out his hand in the direction of a tree, and the air followed suit, and went and hit the tree full force, which made almost all the leaves fall out. "Oops, I just undressed the tree, " he chuckled to himself, as he straightened up, with a proud and cocky smile on his face, but in an adorable way rather than infuriating.
