Eirlys has a heart made of ice. It has nothing to do with her power though, but everything to do with how narrow-mindedly she views the world. She's the bane of all optimistic people, and works only through logic and believes only what she has seen. She has a cold-hearted personality, and will often snub you arrogantly for anything wrong you do, but deep at heart, she only means well. She's a person for whom trust doesn't come easily, but rather she takes her time testing the waters before she opens up completely. She can drive you crazy and insane, both in a good way and in a bad way. You'll have to work twice as hard if you want to pierce that ice heart of hers.

She's constantly warring with her inner demons. On the outside, she seems like a prim and proper princess, who has the best of manners and is skilfully powerful. She's the pride of her House. And she keeps it up with a veiled smile. But within all that people-pleasing facade, lies a girl with doubts and insecurities of how the world works. She dislikes the Reds, not for their blood, but for their freedom. Freedom to act beyond and below people's expectations. She's sick and tired of being expected to do great things. But in a world that is competitive, the fear of being cast aside spurs the girl to always do her best. She's also a girl who seldom swears in front of people, but secretly has a foul mouth and is quickly angered. But can compose herself for the sake of the mask she wears.

❛❛ A heart as cold as ice is a heart where love has died. ❜❜

For generations, The House Gliacon has been subject to rumors of infidelity of the Ancestral Queen and the previous Lord of the House. Rumors that seems to have had a role in shaping Eirlys to be who she has grown to be. A cold-hearted person, who thinks love is simply fictional. For a girl who's named after dreams, Eirlys holds little to no interest in love, unless and until someone will prove her wrong. For she promises to herself that she would be nothing like how the Queen had been. Even if Eirlys is forced to marry someone out of love, she promises herself that she would stay loyal, and cut off her family from any rumors that may generate from her. As they say, words can end up being the sharpest sword of all.

❛❛ Like fragile Ice, anger passes away in time. ❜❜

Eirlys has a lot of room for personality development. Her narrow mindedness was caused as a result of growing up in a gilded cage, surrounded by people who expected the best of her. She encompassed her heart in ice to save the hurt anyone may inflict upon her, but the barrier around her heart has a chance of melting under the right kind of fire. She has yet to find that fire.

➳ Snow and ice and with it she welcomes the cold.

➳ she absolutely loves playing around with her powers, ever since she discovered them. One might even say she's obsessed with power.

➳ she loves playing the Harp in her free time. She secretly hides herself in the garden, among the trees and plays to herself whenever she can sneak away from people.

➳ Like the Harp, she's also skilled in playing the violin and Lyre, but Harps are her main.

➳ Ice skating. The girl loves to skate. Even if it's summer, she creates a rink of her own with her powers, whenever she feels stressed and skates her problems away.

➳ Ice sculpting is a pass time she's come to develop, since experimenting with her powers.

➳ She loves apples and cinnamon buns.

➳ She also has a major sweet tooth for chocolate. Anyone can melt her heart, for a second, with chocolate as bait.

➳ She secretly loves fighting with swords, but since she's a girl who's expected to marry into a great house, she has to keep that side hidden. Or so she thinks.

➳ She loves water, as it's the main source of her power. Where there's water or moisture, she can use her powers freely.

➳ She also has an odd liking for switchblades, and always carries one with herself. 

➳ Loves the rain. But beware, if you're in her presence when it rains, then you'll suddenly have a hailstorm in your hands. She likes testing her powers with the width of the rain.

➳ She dislikes being the center of attention, but with her family, that's where she's always been.

➳ Green vegetables. She's a lady in all aspects, except when it comes to her food. She's absolutely picky.

➳ She hates expectations, but that's what's expected of her. She delivers according to expectations, even if she doesn't like it.

➳ She hates Hypocrites, even though she herself may be one. Acts one way, while feeling another.

➳ She dislikes being interrupted when she talks. It absolutely drives her crazy.

➳ The summer heat doesn't agree with her. On days like that, she surrounds herself with a smoke cloud of frost.

➳ Detests the royals who act like they're perfect, but pretends to be on good terms with them.

➳ Hates rumours. Of every kind. She's the kind to believe what she sees, and not what she hears.

➳ Dislikes the thought of being a mere trophy wife.

➳ Hates for anyone to assume she won't use her powers on you. Because she will, if she's annoyed.

➳ Her ice powers. She's worked hard to develop them, and one might even say she's the genius in the generations of House Gliacon.

➳ Her icy demeanor can very well prove to be a strength in times of need where people might want someone with a cool and rational head.

➳ Her nature to compose her anger as quickly as she feels it. She's quite proud of it too.

➳ Her strength at swordplay, though none knows of it, other than the one who's trained with her. (Secretly- can be anyone)

➳ Shes taken training in archery, because that's what her father thought best for her, even though she doesn't vibe with it much.

➳ She has superb aim. (Has tirelessly worked making ice projectiles until most of her furniture was full of holes. That was when she was a kid, and after that she was given her own target room to train.)

➳ Cooking. Oh yes! The girl with the icy nature has a warmth inducing hobby of cooking. And she's got quite a magical hand too, at that. (Though that too is a secret)

➳ Memory. She has a sharp memory.

➳ Loyalty is one of her strongest suits. If you end up in her list of trusted and loved ones, then she'll turn into your guardian.

➳ Physical strength and stamina. She doesn't have much of those, but she compensates them with her quick wit and agility.

➳ Often falls prey to Hypothermia due to her love of ice and cold.

➳ Doesn't have much empath, due to her shrouding her heart with ice. But she does have the capability to feel it.

➳ She can't stop pleasing people.At least, the older generation. With her own generation, she acts how she will.

➳  She's too overconfident in her strengths and powers.

➳ She doesn't believe her life is important in the grand picture of schemes.

➳ Using her loved ones against her. She may pretend to be an ice queen, but deep down she desperately feels the need to keep her loved ones safe. It may also be her strength, in a way.

➳ Needles are the bane of her existence. She won't be able to knit anything, unless you want roughly made sweaters with missing patches. (That's the one embarrassment she buried deep down, threatening those of who knows it to never speak a word of it.)

☽✧ Backstory ✧☾
Eirlys was born to the House of Gliacon, as a silver elite with powers that were considered to be magnificently superior to anyone in their family. At least, it has the potential to be. And that is solely because she loves playing around with her powers.

Growing up, Eirlys had shown little to no indication of having a power, and was therefore subject to a lot of rumors and shun. But one day, when she was secretly mocked by a group of people passing by, the sudden surge of anger she felt became the catalyst for her powers to manifest.

Suddenly discovering her powers, the girl was delighted and lived in that pleasure, wanting more of it. She tirelessly used her power, experimented with it, toyed with it, all with the fear of suddenly losing it. She didn't want to feel powerless again. She worked hard to become as strong as she is now.

Besides that, as she grew up, she also heard the rumours of the old queen Mare, being in an explicit relationship with her great grandfather. With that run out, her house was always on the hot list of conversation for the royal rumours. And she hated it. She hated it with passion. But she coolant deny it, not with what she one day discovered in the library of their house. An old torn diary, forgotten and unremembered, with the signature of her great grandfather. Most of it was too ineligible to understand, but from what she did make out, it was hard for her to deny the truth. She also learnt of the wedge, the secret relationship had caused, between her great grandfather and great grandmother. And that sort of thing easily influences a child's mind, for that's when she swore to encompass her heart in ice and never to trust anyone.

Eirlys grew up to fulfill every expectation of her parents, being a role model child for others, but deep inside, she couldn't shake off the feeling of the walls closing in on her and her freedom. She felt it the most when her father ordered her to participate in the queenstrial, even though, for the first time ever, she pleaded him to change his mind. She didn't want to be affiliated with the royal family, what with the previous rumours and all. But to no avail.

So now, she's basically just here to observe, stay out of the royal's paths as much as she can, and learn how NOT to be like them. And after all, Fire and Ice don't mix. If her father knew her intentions, it would greatly disappoint him, but what he doesn't know wouldn't hurt him right?
