3rd Person POV:

As Shigeo, Ritsu, and Y/n met up with their Master Reigen at the train station, they couldn't help but feel excited (Well, except for Ritsu). Reigen had invited them all along to go on a one night trip to a hot spring!

Y/n personally had never been to a hot spring, so she was a little nervous.

"Hey, Master!" Mob greeted Reigen. The newest member of the crew, Serizawa was right behind Reigen with a giant suitcase.

"Hey, Mob! Glad you could make it. You too, Ritsu and Y/n." Reigen smiled.

"Thank you for inviting me!" Y/n bowed.

"Thank you, I guess," Ritsu said dully.

"At least pretend to be excited!" Reigen pleaded. He turned to Serizawa. "Dang, just how long did you think this trip would be? We're only staying for a night."

"Well, I was packing some 'just in case' items. A few hours passed and now I'm here," Serizawa mumbled nervously. "I had a hard time sleeping last night."

"I understand, Serizawa. There are nights when I can't sleep too. Those nights are usually right before a school field trip," Shigeo rambled.

"Let's get on the train before it takes off without us," Reigen warned.

Time Skip

"Hey, Mob?" Y/n asked as she played with the bottom of her shirt.

"Yeah?" Shigeo directed his attention towards Y/n.

"I've never been to a hot spring before. Is it scary?" Y/n prepared for laughter but was surprised when she didn't hear any.

"It isn't scary, I promise," Shigeo reassured. "The water will be hot but that's just about it. You might end up being separated from the rest of us though since you're the only girl with us."

"Yeah, don't worry about it. You'll be just fine," Ritsu added.

Y/n smiled. "Thank you! I feel a lot better now."

"Hey, I'm going to go find the bathroom real quick," Ritsu announced. He rised from his seat.

"I'll come with you. I've been holding it in for quite a while." Shigeo stood up to join his brother.

"Alright, I'll let you go first." Ritsu and Shigeo left Y/n alone with Serizawa and Reigen, who had fallen asleep by the entrance of a tunnel.

Man, they must be really tired, Y/n thought.

What she didn't know was that both Reigen and Serizawa were experiencing a terrible nightmare...

Once they had arrived at the hot spring's main inn, Reigen and Serizawa were still passed out from the train ride.

"Hmm, maybe I should levitate them for now. I'd feel bad for waking them," Shigeo suggested.

"Here, I'll take Serizawa," Y/n offered. Using her psychic powers, she lifted Serizawa around four feet into the air.

"Thank you, Y/n." Shigeo did the same with Reigen.

"Hey, guys!"

Shigeo, Y/n, and Ritsu turned their heads around and saw Teru and Shou standing behind them.

"Teru, I'm so glad you made it," Shigeo smiled.

"How did Suzuki know about this trip?" Ritsu growled. He wasn't a big fan of Shou.

"Hanazawa invited me to come too," Shou explained. "He thought it would be best if we all hung out together and caught up on some things."

Teru noticed the two floating men. "Aw, is Reigen asleep? I wanted to thank him."

"I bet he'll be up soon," Y/n promised. "Let's get inside the inn now. It's freezing!"

"I agree. Let's go." Ritsu signalled for everyone to follow him.

The inside of the inn was magnificent and ancient looking. Overall, it was very stunning.

"What's that over there?" Y/n pointed to a round, pink stone that sat in a little shrine.

"Oh, that's the god of this very hot spring," Teru explained. He then rambled on about how this god protects the hot spring from harm. Y/n listened intently.

"Wow! You're really smart," Y/n complimented.

Teru blushed at the comment. "Aww, thank you! I don't think I'm that smart though. I just read about it somewhere."

"Gentlemen and wonderful lady, why don't you follow me this way please," the owner of the hot spring requested.

Everyone did what she said and followed her to the room that everyone would be staying in.

"Wow, what a beautiful room," Ritsu awed.

"I know, right? It gives off a classic Japanese style. It's very pretty," Y/n agreed.

She and Shigeo had placed Reigen and Serizawa in their beds. They wanted to allow them the proper amount of rest they deserved.

"Hey, you all want to take a dip in the hot spring?" Teru asked.

"Yeah, let's go!" Shou sprung up eagerly.

"Still don't know why we had to bring him..." Ritsu whispered.

"Aw, don't be like that. Shou's just as excited as everyone else," Y/n pleaded.

"S-sorry, Y/n," Ritsu apologized.

"I'm going to get ready, ok?" Y/n left to go change into a towel while the boys did the same.

Time Skip

"Ahhh, this is so refreshing!" Ritsu sighed. He lowered himself a little deeper into the hot spring water.

"I feel so relaxed," Shigeo added.

Dimple was resting inside a bucket that was floating in the water. Teru was washing his hair-- or what was remaining of his hair-- over in a different part of the hot spring. Once he was done, he slipped inside the steaming water with a towel on top of his head.

"This is the life, isn't it?" Teru beamed.

Ritsu and Shigeo glanced at Teru with an awkward smile, remembering the bald spot their friend had.

He must still be embarrassed about it... Ritsu thought.

"Hey, how're liking the water? Is it nice?" Shou inquired. He was using his psychic powers to hold up his towel.

"Yeah, it's perfect!" Teru confirmed. "Why don't you come in?"

"I will in just a minute," Shou replied.

The boys all heard quiet footsteps coming from the entrance to the bath and they turned their heads curiously.

Y/n had walked in-- her hands were holding up her towel. Her legs and shoulders were clearly visible and it was making all the boys flustered.

Wow! Is that what Y/n's legs look like? They're so slender! Teru awed.

Ah! Y/n-- shoulders showing!--Legs too--Ahhhh! Shigeo felt like he was about to combust.

I always knew she was good looking, but this is only proving my point. Ritsu admired privately.

As soon as she spotted them, her heart sank.

Aw, crap! I walked into the boy's bath! What do I do?! Y/n panicked.

"I--I'm sorry, guys! I walked into the wrong room. I'll get going n--"

Shou stopped Y/n right in her tracks. "Hold on just a minute. Don't you want to stay with us?"

"H-huh? What do you mean? I have to get to the girls bath." Y/n tried to get out of Shou's way, but he blocked her again.

"You're not going anywhere until I see a little more than shoulders," Shou demanded. He wore a smirk on his face.

Y/n turned beet red. "N-no! Why would I do that?"

"C'mon~ Please?" Shou begged.

"No!" Y/n started moving towards the door. Shou gripped her wrist and stopped her.

"I won't let you leave. Just give me what I want~" Shou's voice went low like he was serious about this request.

"Shou, let go of me!" Y/n used both her arms to shove Shou off of her.

What happened next would scar Y/n forever.

Her towel slowly slid down her chest. In a panic, Y/n gripped the towel tight before it would go any lower. However, the top half of her right breast had been exposed to all four of the esper boys.

Shou's cheeks flushed, as he was not expecting that at all.

Y/n's heart was pounding at the same speed as a mouse. Her face and ears were as bright red as a cherry, and she looked like she could start crying at any minute. Quickly, she used her psychic powers to hold her towel closer to her skin.

All four boys were thinking the same thing: AHHHHHH!

"I'mgoingtogonowbye!" Y/n's speech was slurred together in a blur of embarrassment and fear.

She dashed out of the boys bathing room, leaving four very flustered boys to process what they had been exposed to.

"SUZUKI, YOU CREEP! WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!" Ritsu sprang out of the bath and began beating the living crap out of Shou.

"Too far, man. Too far," Teru sighed.

Meanwhile, Shigeo was having a mental breakdown. "B-boob... Sh-shoulders... Legs..."

"YOU ARE THE SCUMMIEST OF SCUM, YOU HEAR!? UNBELIEVABLE!!" Ritsu wasn't done with his chastisement. Shou was willingly taking all the beating from Ritsu.

"Guys, you have to calm down! Y/n will hear us from the bath next door," Teru warned.

"Yeah, I haven't even gotten to take a dip in the water yet!" Shou complained.

Ritsu sighed. "Fine. Just don't do anything creepy."

Shou gratefully took this as an opportunity to escape Ritsu, and he jumped into the steaming water.

Dimple, who had just been splashed, grumbled, "You know, kid, most people don't try and cannonball into baths like this." He floated his bucket over to Shigeo. "Yo, Shigeo, what's with the face? You look like you're about to explode."

Everyone's eyes were on Shigeo now. His entire face, ears, and neck were flushed red, and his bottom lip was trembling as he was muttering to himself.

"Y/n... shoulders... legs... towel... falling down..."

Teru gently pressed the back of his hand against Shigeo's forehead. "Hey, Kageyama, you don't look so good. Are you ok?"

Shigeo tried to reply but was too shaken up to comprehend an entire sentence.

"It must've been what happened with Y/n," Dimple concluded. "He fancies her, you know?"

Brother likes Y/n too? I can't pursue her now that he wants her! Ritsu decided.

No way! I'll win over Y/n's heart first! Shou pouted.

I had no idea he liked her too. Now I'm feeling conflicted. Teru thought.

Ritsu began to pull Shigeo towards the edge of the bath. "Let's get Brother inside. I think the water might be getting to him."

"Yeah, that would make sense. Y/n can't have been the reason," Teru agreed.

But Y/n was the reason behind Shigeo's sudden change in behavior. They just didn't want to accept that someone else could possibly be wanting to pursue the same girl as them.

Time Skip

Dinner soon came around and the owner of the hot springs brought in many different kinds of delicious food for all the middle schoolers to enjoy. Even Serizawa woke up and came out of hiding in the bedroom. However, Reigen was still in bed.

After some personal conflict, Y/n decided to join the boys for dinner. She was still feeling stressed about what had happened earlier, but she knew things would only get more awkward if she openly showed that she was embarrassed.

"H-hey, guys." Y/n cursed herself for stuttering.

"Hi there, Y/n! Why don't you sit next to me?" Teru patted the spot next to him and Y/n gratefully sat beside the blonde boy.

He seemed the least affected by what happened earlier, so I think it's fine if I'm near him, Y/n thought.

"This is some pretty good food, Brother. Don't you agree?" Ritsu asked.

Shigeo nodded. Oh, no, Y/n's here. She looks so pretty... No! I can't think any more bad thoughts about Y/n! She doesn't deserve such pervertedness.

Teru noticed this behavior. So, Kageyama is still acting nervous. Maybe I'll ask him something just to be sure that he isn't after dear Y/n.

"Hey, Kageyama, is there someone you like?" Teru asked casually.

Shigeo flinched. "U-Uh om om om om om..." (This bit was actually in the OVA, trust me 😂)

"Reigen actually had a new customer the other day. What was her name...?"

Ritsu was quick to interrupt Teru. He didn't want Shigeo to know that Tsubomi had visited the Consultation Office. "Ah! Um, Serizawa, how about you?"

"The only woman I've talked to in the last twenty years is my mother," Serizawa admitted.

"Sorry about all this," Ritsu apologized.

"Om om om om om om..." Shigeo was getting even more flustered by the minute.

Mob's Progress Towards Explosion: 87%

"Mob, are you ok? Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Y/n asked.

"I-I-I'm alright." Shigeo was obviously lying.

"You don't have to answer the question if you don't want to, Kageyama," Teru reassured.

"I'm... I'm sorry, Hanazawa." Shigeo's face flushed.

Is he about to reach 100%? Y/n wondered. He's acting really strange.

Y/n was right. After a minute passed, Shigeo had finally reached his limit.

100% Flustered.

"Ah, Brother!" Ritsu placed his hand on Shigeo's shoulder then flinched. "His body's hot to the touch! We need to do something!"

Shigeo made brief eye contact with Y/n before turning his head away. He wanted to avoid her gaze.

"What's wrong, Mob?" Y/n pleaded gently. "We need to know so we can help you."

Shigeo didn't say anything at first. Instead, lukewarm tears fell from his dark eyes and landed on his steaming hot hands. The liquid evaporated in mere seconds.

"I'm sorry, Y/n... I'm not worthy... to be your friend..." Shigeo voice was shaky.

"That's not true. Why would you think that?"

"All I can think of are these bad thoughts that are gross and vulgar. I'm not respecting your privacy at all, and it makes me feel so bad inside," Shigeo explained. "I'm such a horrible person."

Y/n held Shigeo as he let out a few broken sobs. "You're not a horrible person, Shigeo. What happened earlier was my fault and I'm really sorry you had to go through that. Anything you do isn't meant to be bad on purpose, so I believe you."

"I'm sorry too, Kageyama," Teru apologized. "I shouldn't have asked you such a question just now."

Ritsu nudged Shou in the shoulder.

"I guess I owe you two an apology as well. Sorry," Shou muttered. There was a tint of red dusting his cheeks.

Y/n smiled. "Thank you. I'm not mad at you guys or anything, but I appreciate the apologies. Do you all want some hugs?"

Shigeo nodded shyly and I instantly wrapped the poor boy in a tight hug. Shigeo was starting to calm himself down from the genuine warmth of Y/n's hug. He was grateful to have such a friend.

Next was Teru. He was pretty confident in contrast to Shigeo, but Y/n didn't mind at all.

After Teru, Y/n scooted closer towards Ritsu.

"A-are you sure you want a hug from me? I haven't been all that nice to you," Ritsu protested.

"You haven't been that mean. I did hear you shouting at Shou earlier for my sake," Y/n remembered.

Ritsu blushed. "You heard all that?"

Y/n squeezed Ritsu in a warm embrace. "Yep~!"

Ritsu didn't want to admit it, but he enjoyed the hug very much.

"Shou, it's your turn," Y/n announced.

"Really? You're giving me a hug?" Shou appeared to be surprised.

"Yes, as long as you aren't creepy about it," Y/n sighed with a light smirk on her face.

"Yay!" Shou launched himself into Y/n. "You're so warm~"

Y/n blushed. "What did I just say?"

"Kageyama, Reigen needs some help defeating a spirit!" Serizawa slammed open the sliding door that led to the bedroom. "He's been trapped in this repeating cycle in his sleep ever since we got here."

Everyone rose up from their seats with Y/n standing in front of the boys. It almost looked like they were all posed like famous superheroes about to go into battle.

"Master Reigen needs our help," Y/n declared. "We need to help him!"

"Yeah, I agree. Let's get going!" Teru smiled brightly.

"It's about time we exorcised this evil spirit. I was wondering when we'd get the job done," Ritsu added.

"It's 'Shou' time!" Shou chuckled to himself at his creative pun.

"Let's go help Master," Shigeo agreed.

Y/n wore a confident smile and a bit of her aura was visible.

"Let's do this."
