I'm frozen in time:

The ice age of days that merge and blur

Into a dull routine

Marked by stretches of digital screens

And the occasional pigeon that

Says hi

Poops

And flies away.

The world has slowed

So until the crisis has elapsed

I can relax

And get to know myself a little more, but

Confined to four walls and a roof is like

Fighting a war

Between enjoyment and wasting time

For novelty

Is especially hard to find.

But despite confinement, I have infinite freedom

To expand my mind

Stretch, and reach up to a healthier life

Connect with those I know and will know

Or knead time like dough

And mold the passing days into something I can be proud of.

So whatever I love, or hold dear to my heart

However I spend my days, even if it's just watching anime

When I look back

I want to say I lived a lifetime's worth

Of exploring the world, both outside and inside myself

For there may never be another time

Where time itself is infinite

And so is your ability to choose what you do with it.
