- 2 - ~ Phase 1: Trick the Hokage (edited)
---2---
I opened my eyes, it was still dark and it was early, but for some reason, I'd gotten no sleep at all.
I sighed to myself and sat up, scratching the back of my head. I dragged myself out of my bed and started to get dressed.
Instead of my usual dark clothing and Akatsuki cloak, I put on a red sleeveless zip up top with a high collar, which cut off near my rib cage. I put on some blue ninja pants and kept my white stockings and blue sandals on. I put on a fishnet band up on my right arm, just below my shoulder. I wrapped a bandage around my stomach, which cut off just above my belly button, showing off a little of my flat, toned stomach. I had a leathery long wrist strap on my left hand and lots of earrings pierced on my only visible ear, my left one. I carefully wrapped a thin but long bandage around the top of my left arm, to cover the red Akatsuki cloud, that was tattooed on my arm. Finally, I strapped my no-dachi to my side and grabbed my small amount of luggage I had with me.
I left the dark, deep caves and blinked as I made it outside. I had been right, it was still pretty early. I calculated the times in my head and set out, ready to arrive at Konoha around noon.
---
I arrived at the Konoha gates at noon, just as I'd predicted. Boy those gates brought back so many memories, and I've not even entered the village yet. I started towards the giant gates before I was stopped.
'Who are you and what's your business here?' the Shinobi asked. I sighed to myself.
'My name is Breis, I'm a transfer Nin from Iwagakure,' I told him. He looked down at me from the top of the wall, narrowing his eyes at me.
'Oh really? How am I supposed to believe you? You could be an intruder, waiting to ambush the village!' he said, glaring at me. A cold shiver went down my spine. This guy...
'I used to live here, come on! Open up the gates!' I called, getting agitated.
'Not until I have proof that you're not an intruder!' he refused. I gritted my teeth together and reached for the hilt of my no-dachi when I heard the out of breath voice of a woman.
'Hold it there!' she called to the Shinobi who was giving me the evils. 'I've been sent by Lady Tsunade to escort this girl to the Hokage's office! She speaks the truth! She's a transfer Nin and we've been expecting her. Guards, the gates!' she ordered, catching her breath. I caught a small glimpse of short black hair and a rosy face smiling at me before disappearing. The huge gates creaked open and I walked in, to meet the woman who had come to my aid.
'You must be Breis, am I right?' she asked, and in response, I gave her a single nod. 'Ah good! I'm Shizune, Lady Tsunade's assistant. She sent me to come and get you,' she introduced herself with a warm smile.
'I take it she's the new Hokage, right?' I replied. Shizune gave a quick nod.
'Yes, we should be off! We have a lot of things to sort out before you can settle for the night,' she smiled, turning on her heels. 'Follow me,'
I followed her as we passed swiftly through the bustling crowds of villagers, all going about their daily lives. Before long, Shizune started blabbering on about the village; how the weather tends to be in the summer and winter months, of how they trade with their newly formed allies in the Land of Snow and the success of the most recent Chūnin exams. I soon zoned out, uninterested at all the information which I had already knew. I looked around, recognising old shops and places where I had made so many happy and exciting memories as a little girl.
We soon arrived at the Hokage's office, where Shizune fell silent and lead me through rooms of high security, and up into the actual office itself. Shizune knocked on the door twice and waited.
'Are you nervous?' she asked, smiling again. I nodded silently. 'Don't worry, she doesn't bite! You'll be fine Breis,'
'Enter!' a voice called, muffled by the heavy door. Shizune slid back the door with ease and entered, signalling for me to follow her in afterwards.
'And you are?'
'Breis,' I answered.
'Who?' The Fifth asked, raising an eyebrow.
'The transfer nin from Iwagakure, m'lady,' Shizune chipped in. The Fifth smiled and nodded.
'Ahh, that's right. Welcome to my village, Breis,'
'Arigatou m'lady,' I replied.
'Before you get settled, there's a few things we have to cover first. I understand you've been in Iwagakure for quite some time now, am I right?'
'Yes m'lady. Nearly 15 years in fact. I was born and raised here but I had to leave, due to...complications. I continued training as a ninja there, and made it to Jounin level. I was set to lead my own squad before I was told that I was to move back to Konoha,' I lied, following the orders Pein had given me about my whereabouts the past 15 years.
'I see. Do you posses any special abilities or kekkai genkai that I should know of?'
'No kekkai genkai, but I have created and mastered my own techniques as well as a few others that I've learnt over the years. My main area of profession lies with my Taijutsu, my weapon and sword fighting skills,' I told her, which this time, was the truth.
'Well it seems that you'll make a promising edition to Konoha's Shinobi. You've been assigned your own apartment and you'll be assisting Squad 7, which consists of Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sai and...'
'Sorry I'm late, a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way round,' a voice came from the doorway. We all stopped an turned. My body froze at the sight of the person who stood before us.
'Kakashi, so very nice of you to join us. As I was saying, you've been partnered with Kakashi Hatake, Sensei and leader to Squad 7,' The Fifth finished. Kakashi caught a glimpse of me and stopped dead in his tracks. His only visible eye widened as he looked me up and down.
'B-B-B-Breis?! Is that really you?!' He gasped.
Tsunade looked confused. So did her assistant, and the pig.
'You two know each other or something?' She asked, stepping beside me.
'Know her?! Lady Tsunade, the girl standing next to you is my younger sister, Breis Hatake!' Kakashi struggled, pointing at me. Tsunade looked at me, her eyes wide too.
'Is this true Breis? I had been meaning to ask you last name,' she asked.
'Yes, it's true,' I answered, looking at my big brother from across the room.
'Kakashi, I never knew you had a younger sister,' Tsunade stammered
'I didn't tell you, b-b-because-'
'I'm supposed to be dead,' I finished...
