Ginzo was feeling a whole lot of emotions, but he was mainly both furious and worried. He wasn't angry at Kaito, the poor boy was just trying to get his mother to pay attention to him. It was the mother that had him seething with rage. He'd called Chikage and told her about the note, then the bitch had laughed and said that Kaito was just being petty about not being allowed to keep a kitten.
The inspector hadn't even known that Kaito had been keeping a kitten, but the woman had had the gall to take said kitten away since Kaito couldn't possibly be lonely. Hearing Chikage say those words had made it hard for him to not go off on her. Of course Kaito was lonely! His mother was a moron who kept abandoning him! He'd tried his best to get the bitch to come back for Kaito's sake, he really did. Ginzo ended up cursing her out in the end though after all his attempts had failed.
Kaito wanted his mother to find him... But that wasn't going to happen any time soon. It was too soon to report the kid missing, so he called a few of his coworkers who were off duty and asked them to help. Kaito could get into the strangest of situations, Ginzo didn't want to even think about what could happen while the boy was both angry and upset.
Edoka was searched, but Kaito had yet to be found. By the time midnight came, he officially called in the boy as missing and more people joined the search since Kaito was still a young child.
By the time dawn came, Ginzo was frantic. Edoka was peaceful compared to some of the other areas in Tokyo, but children still shouldn't spend the night alone outside. What if Kaito had gotten hurt? Or kidnapped?
He tried calling Chikage again, but the bitch had blocked him. The fuck, he was going to get Kaito a kitten, maybe even find the one Kaito had cared for. Chikage could go to fucking hell for all he cared. The cat would be his, but it would spend most of its time with Kaito so Chikage wouldn't be able to get rid of it. If the kitten ended up getting adopted before they found it, then he'd get the furriest kitten he could find just to spite the woman. Cat fur? Bah! Why would that even matter if she wasn't even there most of the time?
Before he could get Kaito a kitten though, he needed to find Kaito first. Unfortunately the kid had always been great at hiding, and worse, there was a good chance of Kaito hiding even better if he heard someone who wasn't his mother calling for him. Kaito was stubborn, smart but stubborn, and right now, he was emotionally hurt and possibly physically too.
The search wasn't getting anywhere, but eventually they did get a clue from a jogger. Kaito had been spotted near the forest. While worrying, it at least helped to narrow down the search. Now that he thought about it, it made sense that Kaito would stay away from people. Children who were unattended outside at night often caught people's attention. Kaito didn't want to be found, so he headed to the forest. Alone. At night.
Fuck. That was dangerous. Ginzo wasted no time in heading to the forest. If Kaito was to allow himself to be found, it would probably be by someone that he knew. Unless Kaito had ended up getting himself hurt and was now unable to evade the search. Ginzo grimaced. Was it bad that he hoped that to be the case? Maybe a sprained ankle or something. At least then the boy would be found and brought to safety. Kaito could heal from something like that, and it would prevent him from potentially dying or obtaining a more dangerous injury.

Thank god it hadn't rained. Searching the forest was hard enough as it was. Thankfully the ground was firm and dry. Several officers had already tripped over hidden roots and what not. It didn't bode well for Kaito, the boy had been travelling in the dark. They were tripping over stuff while they could still see.
From what Ginzo knew, Kaito had taken some food, water, and a blanket. He'd searched to see what Kaito had taken with him. None of the flashlights were missing though, which kinda sucked. The odds of them finding Kaito hurt had risen exponentially in his mind, making him regret wishing that the other had gotten just injured enough to not hide again.
He prayed that Kaito had been able to find an old abandoned animal den or something to spend the night in. Ginzo really hoped that any shelter Kaito found wasn't already claimed by a dangerous animal. He wasn't sure if the boy would be able to tell if it was abandoned or not.
The inspector tried not to think about the wild dogs that the news had said were roaming the area. He really really didn't want to think about that. Seeing a dog would make Kaito lower his guard, and the wild dogs weren't friendly. There was a reason why they were referred to as wild instead of as strays.
Ginzo was going to find Kaito, he had to. His bitch of a mother wouldn't come for him so he had to instead. Fuck. Kaito was going to be heartbroken when he realized that his mother wasn't even in Japan. He'll have to lie, tell him that Chikage's plane had gotten delayed...
A selfish part of him didn't want to lie though. He wanted Kaito to give up on Chikage, the damn woman wasn't worth the constant heartbreak and sadness. The poor kid would live a better life if he just took Kaito from Chikage. But, Kaito might never forgive him if he reported his mother. He wouldn't be able to afford to take care of two houses, so Kaito would be forced to leave the one that held the memories of his father. Kaito adored his father, and the memories seemed to help him.
Me: Ginzo is worried, angry dad. Hopefully Kaito is well
Comment? ^-^
Garlic flavoured stuff is amazing >~< I love having that garlic aftertaste or tasting garlic when I let out a burp
I'm in love with DiGiorno/Delissio garlic bread frozen pizza QAQ
I don't buy it often because it's smaller, but I adore it so much
°^° I love that brand's pepperoni too even though it's kinda spicy to me. It's rare that I like pepperoni >~< but this pizza does the job right.
Oh and since I grew up despising meat until my taste buds could handle it (autistic people's senses can be weird. I love meat now) I love pineapple on pizza.
I despised other veggies/fruit on pizza so it was something to give me nutrition
•3• stubborn child I was, often preferred to go without food if I didn't like it... Or I disposed of said food without eating it
