Laying wide awake on his chest, she stared the ceiling. She only could sleep for a few minutes, the stress wasn't letting her to sleep. Her phone pinged, she slowly got up and checked her phone. It was Viyaan's message.

Viyaan: Meet me at cafe near our college, we've to talk with Anna.

She read the message and looked at Kartik, he was still sleeping. She slipped into a pair of jeans and wore a jacket above. She stood infront of mirror, combing her hairs.

Kartik backhugged her, putting his chin on her shoulder.

"Are you going somewhere?" He asked.

"Yeah, I've to meet my classmates to discuss a project." She lied and looked away.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm just tired, its nothing."

"Is it important to meet them, can't you skip it?"

"No, its almost dead line. I can't skip it." She replied.

"Okay, I'll drop you." He said.

"No, you don't have to. I'll manage." She panicked.

"Don't be silly. Come." He said and dragged her with him.

"Here." He stopped the car at cafe.

He looked at her and took her hand in his.

"Call me when you're done, I'll pick you." He said, she nodded.

He leaned in and kissed her forehead.

"I love you." He whispered, tears welled up in her eyes, but she controlled herself.

She didn't know if after coming back from this cafe, she would get the chance to say it back to him or not, so she said it now.

"I love you." She whispered back, he smiled at her.

She got out of the car and went inside the cafe with thudding heart.

She looked around and saw Viyaan sitting with a girl at a corner. She took a deep breath and went towards them.

She sat there and looked at Viyaan, he nodded at her.

"Now, Anna, can you please make it clear to her?"

"Well, listen, Naira." Anna started off, Naira fisted her hands hoping for the positive result.

"You were really drunk last night and almost dirtied your clothes so I had to change your clothes and I took a shirt from Kartik's wardrobe if you're worrying about it. Nothing happened, so relax, you didn't cheat on him." Anna said and smiled at her.

Naira took a breathe of relief, her hands were still shaking, Viyaan squeezed her hands and gave her i-told-you look.

"Okay, you guys enjoy, I've to leave." Anna said, Naira thanked her and after that she left.

Naira dropped her head on the table.

"Cheer up, now. Its all sorted." Viyaan said, she grinned at him.

It was an hour, Kartik checked time but Naira still hasn't called him. She wasn't fine but still insisted to go there. He drove to cafe and went inside looking for her.

He looked around and saw Naira and Viyaan sitting together, laughing on something.

Didn't she say she had to meet her classmates?

He called her, she picked up her phone.

"Where are you?" He asked her.

"Uh, at cafe obviously."

"With your classmates?"

"Yeah, with them. We're almost done with the discussion, you can come now." She lied.

"Okay." He said and hunged up the phone.

Why did she lie?

If she had to meet Viyaan, she should've told him but why did she lie?

Keeping these thoughts out of his head, he went back to car and after a few minutes called her to come out.

He didn't question her further, there must be a reason behind why she hid it, he could see she was more happy and relaxed since the time she came back from cafe, he didn't want to ruin the mood.

She was sitting in college with Viyaan, Kartik had excused himself, she was waiting for him, when she received a message from Liha.

Liha: I hope he will trust you.

Her breathe got stuck in her throat as she read the message.

"What happened?" Viyaan asked.

"She told him." She said with a shaking voice.

Before she could say something else, Kartik held her wrist and made her stand.

His grip on her hand was too strong for her comfort.

"Tell me you didn't sleep with anyone that night." He said, her face pale. His eyes boring right into hers, the question and doubt in his eyes shook her, she shivered.
