Everyone told Naira to rest and then all except Karthik left. Though Akshara and Naitik really wanted to stay along with their daughter, who had come home after so long, but knew Naira wouldn't like it, so they left silently.

"Thank you so much", said Akshara looking at Manish and Suvarna with gratitude, but the two seemed to be confused
"Thank you for loving Naira so much. Thank you for protecting and taking care of her. I saw the love in her eyes when she looked at both of you. I saw the concern that both of you had when she had fainted.", continued Akshara
"No, Akshara ji, there isn't a single thing you should thank us for. Naira has gained every drop of love that we shower on her, she is the most amazing child anyone could wish for", replied Manish, Suvarna nodded in agreement and Kirti gave a smile.
"Naira is here but she still seems angry at all you, especially Akshara aunty. We need to make her realize that she just has a terrible misunderstanding but we need to do it without pressurizing her. I think it is best that we don't try to force her to understand Akshara aunty at the moment but instead work in mending her relationship with her other family members. Once she is comfortable with other members in the family, we all could slowly make her understand that she had gotten a misconception about aunty", said Kirti
"Why should maa be away from Naira. She is Naira's mother and she will not maintain any distance from her on daughter, at least not at a stranger's demand", spoke Naksh angrily
"Firstly, I never demanded anything, I just proposed a suggestion, that I thought would be best, it is aunty's choice in the end. Secondly, I am no stranger to Naira. I am her husband's sister and she has been like a little sister and great friend to me, so you don't need to tell me where I stand in her life. I know that very well.", Kirti replied in a calm but stern tone
"You are not Karthik's real sister, forget that you are not even his cousin. Kyun zabardasti ke rishtey jod rahi ho", spoke Naksh irritated. Suvarna's eyes filled up with tears and Manish's eyes were moist as well.
"Duggu, is this the way to speak to anyone", Akshara reprimanded her son
"Apologize now Naksh", ordered Naitik
"There is no need for that uncle, our relation with Karthik is not so weak that it would break or suffer any sort of damage, just by a third person saying something", Kirti told Naitik politely
"Am sorry", apologized Naksh
"I don't know what got into me. I saw so much love and respect in Naira's eyes for all of you, that I might have got a bit jealous and reacted in the wrong way. I had no intention of hurting anyone, am really sorry", Naksh continued,
"It is okay beta, we can understand", replied Manish, and Suvarna nodded positively but the tears in her eyes were still there and the pain was visible on her face.
"What is going on here?", asked Karthik who had just come down and felt that the atmosphere was very tensed.
"Nothing Karthik, we all were just discussing about how to bring Naira closer to her family", replied Manish.
"Maa, why are there tears in your eyes", asked Karthik, when he saw Suvarna.
"It is my fault", admitted Naksh
"I got insecure and ended up hurting her, but trust me I didn't mean it. I don't know what made me say that they weren't your real family. I am sorry, I really am", said Naksh telling him the truth
"Maa", said Karthik walking up to Suvarna and making her look at him, she couldn't hold back her tears anymore and they came streaming down. Karthik sighed and wiped her tears.
"Phir se. Humesha aap iss baath par emotional kyun ho jaati hai. Maa aap hi toh kehti hai ke main apka kanha hun, aur app meri yashoda maiya. Krishna bhi toh Yashoda maiya ke sagge bete nahi the lekin iss baath se unke rishtey mein koyi fark nahi aiya. Jab Krishnaji ki maa ki baath hoti hai toh Yashoda maiya ka naam liya jata hai. Mera app sab se rishta na khoon ka hai na kaghaz ka, sirf dil ka rishta hai, aur dil ke rishtey toh sab se pyarre sab se sache hote hai.", said Karthik, Suvarna smiled at him remembering the day he first called her maa

Flashback

Karthik was five that time he used to call Suvarna ma'am and Manish sir, just like all the other orphanage kids did. Though Suvarna always had wanted him to call her maa, but she didn't know with what right to ask me him to call her as his mother. There were winter holidays for Kirti, so she, Suvarna and  Manish were going to be at Rishikesh for a week.
"Maa", Karthik yelled and hugged Suvarna as soon as she entered the orphanage. Suvarna was pleasantly surprised, she at once picked up the little boy in her arms and kissed his face.
"Tum ne mujhe maa kaha", Suvarna asked the young boy lovingly
"I am sorry madam, pata nahi iss ne aisa kyun kiya", said one of the care takers to Suvarna
"Aur tum, yeh tumhari maa nahi, ma'am hai", she scolded Karthik and tried to take him away from Suvarna's grip, but he refused to come.
"Kyun nahi hai. Mere dost ne kaha, maa woh hoti hai, Jo hum se bahut pyaar karti hai, jo humari care karti hai, khud se phele humare barien mein sochti hai. Yeh mujh se bahut pyaar karti hai, care karti hai, aur haar weekend aati hai milne, last week unhe fever tha phir bhi ayi, iss liye yeh meri maa hai", said the boy and Suvarna kissed his forehead.
"Maa woh hoti hai Jo janam deti hai aur unho ne tumhe janam nahi diya", replied the care taker
"Sab Yashoda ko kanha ki maa khete hai, lekin Krishna ko janam Devaki ne diya. Karthik mera Kanha hai", Suvarna replied sharply to the care taker

End of flashback

"Tu Mera Kanha hai", Suvarna said cupping the Karthik's face and kissing his temple. Everyone looked at the mother son duo in awe.
"Naira kaisi hai", asked Gayu
"Woh so gayi hai", replied Karthik
"Yeh tel (oil) tumhare haath mein", asked Karishma
"Woh am sure plane ki journey ki wajhe se madam ko pain ho raha hoga, lekin woh kehegi nahi, kyunke woh sherni hai akhir kar. Lekin usse dekh kar saaf pata chal raha tha. Toh socha ke massage kar dun", replied Karthik
"Karthik, main kar sakti hun, yeh Naira ke liye. Tum ne kaha woh so rahi hai. Uth jaye gi toh mujhe apne qareeb nahi anne de gi. Toh kya about main uss ke pass ja sakti hun. Main malish kar dungi", asked Akshara
"Ma'am, why are you asking me. She is your daughter, you have every right on her. She is might be angry on you for now, but she is still your child.", Karthik replied.
