Thank you so much for the comments and votes am extremely sorry for the delay. The update already took time because I gave an update of my other story and to top it off my whole update got deleted. Am used to writing my stories on a notepad aap and then copy it here, but I don't know what happened, I guess the back space button got pressed and everything got deleted. Am very  sorry if this is not up to mark.

It had been few months since Kirti was there. The entire Goenka family  (SuvarNish, Akhilesh, Surekha, Mansi) all had come today since the new office was going to be inaugurated. The inauguration had gotten over in early afternoon. Now it was late evening the party was going on to celebrate the new Goenka branch. The Goenka family, all orphanage kids and care takers,  employees of the new office and their families, high society people of Rishikesh all were gathered at Kahanna Mansion  (Suvarna's house) (Remember Rishikesh is Suvarna's birth city, this is her parents house)

"Maa have you seen di", asked Karthik
"No, is something wrong you looked tensed", Suvarna spoke
"Maa di looks tensed to me from last week. I asked her but she said it was nothing but am not able to convince myself", Karthik told the truth knowing he wouldn't be able to lie to Suvarna.
"Am sure it is probably just work pressure. Last week must have been very tiring for her as she had too prepare for today. We all arrived today morning and you also had so many university assignments. She didn't have anyone to help with. So she might have been stressed", Suvarna assured but she knew Karthik was not convinced.

Just then they heard a voice saying, "Leave her", Karthik recognised it as Tina's. He turned around but couldn't see her, he noticed few guests heading to the garden. He rushed as well feeling something was wrong

Everyone froze at the sight. Tina, Kirti and a guy which no one recognised was there. The guy had a knife in one hand which was around Kirti's neck and an acid bottle that was opened in the other hand.

"How dare you reject me Aditya Bansal. No girl has ever rejected me. Girls die to date me and you said no to my proposal how dare you", said Aditya angrily.

"Leave her", Naira yelled, she couldn't push Aditya and get Kirti as she was scared that Kirti would get hurt from the knife or burnt from the acid. Kirti also knew that a little movement and the knife would cut her neck killing her.

"Leave my sister", shouted Karthik rushing towards the trio. Naira grabbed the acid bottle and Karthik the knife, while Kirti pushed Aditya back with full force and he feel on the ground. Karthik kicked him pushing him back on the ground as he tried to get up.

Karthik would have continued hitting further if he didn't hear Kirti shout
"Karthik Tina his hurt", she yelled. Karthik saw Naira holding her hand her eyes were closed tears flowing out. Her lips sealed tight so that no sound would escape her lips. He immediately left Aditya and ran towards Naira. He took her hand in his one hand.
"Why are you crying. You are My Sherni and Sherni's don't cry.", wiping her tears with the other hand. She had fallen to the ground because of the unbearable pain. He picked her up from the grass.
"Kirti, princess I have called the police. You stay here to give the statement against this man. We will just go to the hospital.", said Manish.
"Dad inform me what the doctor says. I am very sorry Tina you got hurt because of me.", spoke Kirti with regret, Naira gave an assuring smile that she is fine but wasn't able to say anything much.

The hospital was not very far. Suvarna, Manish, Karthik and Naira, reached in less than 5 minutes. During the car ride Karthik kept talking to Naira to distract her from her pain.

Naira was admitted. After a while the doctor finally called all of them to his cabin.

"Beta thank you so much. If you hadn't seen Aditya. He might have hurt Kirti really bad even taken her life and gone. But hearing you everyone gathered and because of you and Karthik my princess is absolutely fine. The only thing I regret is saving my princes, my angel got hurt.",  Manish spoke caressing Naira's hair.

"Doctor, how is she", asked Karthik.

"Thankfully it isn't that bad. The pain has ceased now. Though from time to time during these couple of weeks you will feel a burning sensation, when that happens apply the gel I have prescribed. If you don't feel better within 10 minutes than immediately come to me. The marks will take longer to go, I have given another cream for that which will speed up the process and the marks will completely fade away in a few months.", said the doctor.

"Don't worry I will take full care of my angel.", said Manish.
"Haan, doctor we will make sure she applies the prescribed ointments.", Suvarna assured
"Angel if the pain gets too much do tell us", said Suvarna lovingly touching her cheeks.
"Hello she is only my angel. Like Karthik is only your Kanha.  She is only my angel. Phele Kirti meri princess hua karti thi but now she is Karthik's sister first. But my angel will be my daughter first and foremost", said Manish and Suvarna Karthik giggled on his jealousy and over protectiveness. Naira's eyes filled with tears as she remembered how Naitik had once stopped Akshara from calling her princess the same way.
"What happened angel", asked Manish seeing her tear filled eyes.
"Is it hurting", asked Suvarna lovingly.
"No, I am fine", she said

The four left. Naira was lost remembering about Singhanias she didn't notice when she reached the staircase and was about to slip but Manish caught her.
"Dad", said Naira scared clinging onto Manish's hand scared.
"It is okay angel", said Manish calming her down.
"I am sorry sir I didn't mean to, it just slipped out of my mouth", Naira apologised for calling Manish dad. Manish felt bad but did not say anything because he knew that he whole heartedly considered Tina as his daughter but it wasn't necessary that she saw things the same way.
"I didn't feel bad, honestly I liked it, so you don't need to apologise.", said Manish
"Can I ask you something. Did you regret calling me Dad", asked Manish and Naira nodded negatively.

They reached home.
"What did the doctor say", asked Kirti immediately as the entered the house.
"Am okay Di", assured Naira.
"Thank you Naira, thank you Karthik", said Kirti hugging the two. Kirti noticed that Karthik was not hugging her back she broke the hug.
"Kya hua", asked Kirti keeping a hand on his shoulder he shrugged it off and walked into the house.
"Kya you Kanha, kiss bath par ruthe ho apne di se use batao", said Suvarna
"Mujhe kuch nahi batana maa, jiss tarhe woh kuch nahi batati, main bhi kuch nahi kahunga. How many times in the past week I asked her why she was tensed but she never answered me", Karthik said.

"Am sorry bhai, Aditya proposed me on the last day of university but I rejected. You know am not into dating so I told him we could be friends if he wanted but he denied. Then I came here. Last week se I was getting threatening phone calls for the first calls I thought somebody was pranking maybe one of my friends who heard Aditya proposed me but then I realised it was him but I didn't think he would carry out his threats, I didn't know he was so physco. I never knew things would go so out of hand I thought I would handle it", said Kirti
"Di you are very strong and capable to handle any situation on your own but you can at least share your problems with your family. After all what is family for", said Karthik
"He is right princess, you should have told us. I know we weren't here but at least you could have called and informed we would have immediately come. And we weren't there but  Karthik was here you could have told him", Manish said agreeing with Karthik's words
"Just promise me Di, next time you will share things and as your family we promise to do everything to help you.", Karthik said
"I promise I will never hide anything", Kirti assured. Naira got emotional thinking about her family. Thinking of them how none of them supported her during Sukanya's death and wanted to send her to jail and here this family had so much love and understanding between them.
"Kaha khoyi ho sherni. Yeh kya tumhari ankhon mein ansu", said Karthik
"Angel is it burning", asked Manish tensed
"Let me put the gel", said Suvarna taking out a tube
"I will do it maa", said Karthik and Suvarna handed him the tube.
"I am okay it is not burning", said Naira
"Then why are you crying angel", asked Manish
"It is nothing DAD, just after so long I received so much love.", said Naira with a smile and Manish was also happy hearing her say dad.
"Angel, stay with us here until we are there.", requested Manish.
"Yes dad she definitely will, right Tina, after all Karthik is her best friend and he will be staying so she won't have a problem.", spoke Kirti
"Di we aren't friends, but she will definitely stay here for dad and maa because she is there daughter as much as am their son", said Karthik, he was sad when he said they weren't friends.
"Acha matlab Naira is your sister like me", said Kirti
"NO", Kartik immediately yelled and Kirti with difficulty suppressed her giggled. She knew very well that Karthik liked Naira and was just teasing him.

Night time (room which Naira was staying)

Knock knock. Naira saw Karthik as she opened the door.  Before she could say anything. He hugged her.
"Thank you so much. Di, maa, dad they are all my life. Saving di you saved my life. I can't thank you enough", said Karthik, Naira knew he was crying because his voice was breaking and also her shoulder was wet with his tears.
"Mendak rote huye shayad acche lagge, lekin sherni ka dost nahi", she said
"Yahan hum dono ke ilawa koyi nahi", he spoke
"Am talking  about us two only. You only call me sherni. So me sherni and you my friend", said Naira
"Am I your friend", asked Karthik, Naira nodded her head negatively
"Not just friend, my closet friend, my best friend that I want forever.", told Naira and Karthik was very happy
"Now give me your hand", asked Naira
"Shaadi ke liye aise haath nahi mangte", said Karthik  teasingly
"Idiot, mendak mazak band karo aur hath do", Naira pulled his hand
"What you think you would hide your hand and no one would see it was  hurt. I know you only put the home made medicine, Suvarna maa recipe. Negi uncle had told me once about it so I made it for you.", said Naira
"God look at your hand. Anyone puts bandage like this you didn't apply any medicine just wrapped the bandage", said Naira as she unwrapped the bandage. Then cleant the cut, applied the home made paste.

"Why didn't you apply the cream. Doctor said to put it every night", said Karthik and he applied the cream on Naira' hand.

They heard a knock on the door
"Come in", said Naira as the door was already unlocked and Suvarna stepped in.

"Kanha apna left hand dikhao", said Suvarna and took his hand and saw the paste.
"Tum ne paste lagga li", asked Suvarna
"Woh maa, main ne lagiya. Negi uncle had once told me Karthik is very stubborn and never goes to the doctor even if the doctor gives him medicines he will not take it. He only trust your made medicine. I noticed his hurt and I thought you might be tensed regarding Kirti di so I thought of making the medicine myself", said Naira.
"Am glad mere dono bache Ek dusre ka khayal rakh rahe hai.",  said Suvarna noticing the cream had been applied on the back of Naira's hand and some on Karthik's fingers so she realised he only might have put it.
