Naira's eyes fell on the box wrapped in golden gift paper, lying in the corner of the room. It was the gift Karthik had got for her birthday. Last night before opening her gifts with her siblings and cousins, she had hit it, she didn't want to unwrap this one in front of them, especially because she knew Karthik would have definitely written a card with his gift, which would be romantic, so she didn't want anyone to get their hands on that.

Naira opened the box to find a projector and a large white neatly cloth.

Naira, my sherni, my best friend, my love, my Jaan, my everything, a very very happy birthday to you. I hope you like my gift.

Just then she saw Karthik calling her.

"Hello Jaan, good morning my lovely sherni", Karthik wished as she picked up

"Good morning my cutie mendak", she wished back.

"How do you like my gift, Abhi tak khola ya nahi", he asked

"Khola and I love it, manna padega my mendak is super smart, ab hum virtually raat bhaar ek dusre ke saath rahenge, lekin tumhe yeh khareedne ka time mila. Kyun ke mein ne tum se barso raat kaha ke tum raat ke waqt ruk jao, aur jab tum yesterday afternoon ko aye, tum ne kaha ke tum badi mushkil se aye kyunke gharwale tumhe apni nazron se dur nahi hone de rahe the. Phir yeh", Naira spoke

"Yeh mein tab hi le aiya jab hum london mein the. I know you very well baby, that is why I got this earlier only. Aur saach kahu toh tumhari tarhe, mujhe bhi tumhari adat ho chuki hai", he answered

"Toh tum sab phele se jante the, phir bhi tum ne kal raat ko yeh kaha ke tum haar raat yaha nahi asakte. Seedhe seedhe yeh nahi keh sakte the, Naira don't worry, hum physically nahi, virtually ek dusre ke saath honge.", she said irritated

"Acha baba sorry ne. I love you my pyaar Sherni ghussa thuk do. Please. Tumhe toh mujhe all the best wish karna chaiye aur tum ho ke naraz ho ke baith gayi", said Karthik

"All the best", Naira asked

"Haan aaj, job interview hai mera Singhania Diamonds mein", Karthik answered

"Tumhe job prapt ho, tumhe zindagi mein bhar bhar ke taraki mile, kamyabi tumhare kadam chume, yehi mera ashirwad hai balak", said Naira

"Apke ashirwad ke liye shukriya mata, humesha aise hi apni kripa dishti banaye rakhe", Karthik answered and both burst out laughing the next second.

"Best of luck. I know my mendak will do a very good job", said Naira.

"Thank you my Jaan, you and the family wishes are there with me nothing can go wrong.", said Karthik

"Bye, aaj mera bhi office mein first day hai. I don't want to get late.", said Naira

"Best of luck, I know my sherni would win everyone heart on the first day only", Karthik spoke.

Naitik was looking through all the files of those who had come to the interview, one files impressed him the most, he noticed that  the name was Karthik Goenka, so he asked the PA to call him in.

"Hello sir", Karthik greeted formally on entering.

"Karthik, beta what a surprise to see you here. I mean your family is in the same business, then what makes you come here for the job", asked Naitik

"I wanted to gain some experience before joining GG, if I joined family business no one would point out my errors, everyone would treat me as the boss's son and I wanted to be treated equally and know what mistakes am making.", answered Karthik

"Your hired", Naitik said

"Sir can I ask you something", Karthik seeked permission

"Yeh job mujhe apne qualification ki wajhe se milli, ya aap mujhe personally jante hai iss wajhe se. I am sorry mein aap par koyi accussation nahi dal raha, I just wanted things clarified", spoke Karthik

"You are hired for both reasons, your qualification also impressed me and I wanted someone with who Naira is comfortable with, as the person selected in this interview would be working with Naira most of the time, and there is no one Naira could be more comfortable then you. ", Naitik answered.

"Thank you sir", Karthik said politely

"Thank thank you so much uncle, mujhe nahi pata tha I would have to be working with Naira. I thought we would only be in the same office, you are the best I love you, but I love your daughter more", said Karthik in his head excitedly but tried to look normal from outside.

"Why don't you go and give this good news to your best friend, she is in the cabin, it is the second one to the left.", Naitik said and Karthik left.

Karthik entered into the cabin, Naira was facing the other side, busy in looking at some files, so she didn't pay much attention. Suddenly she felt a pair of hands wrapped around her waist, she was taken aback for a second, but then understood, who could it be.

"Chodo Karthik, koyi tumhe yaha dekhe gayi toh bahut problem ho jaye gi", said Naira trying to loosen the grip.

"No, there won't be any problem. Uncle ne mujhe bheja hai. Good news jo dena tha", he said spinning her so she was facing him.

"Good news, lekin hum ne kuch aisa waisa nahi kiya, aur agar kiya bhi hota toh, good news mein deti, tum thodi na, manna hum  baqi couples se unique hai, lekin itne bhi nahi", she said giggling

"Naira, tum ne bahut zyada naughty ho gayi hai. Jao mein kuch nahi bataunga", said Karthik, breaking the hug and pouting

"Acha sorry, please batao, please please please my cutie mendak", she said making adorable faces

"Good news yeh hai, ke tumhare mendak ko job mil gayi, ab hum ek hi office mein kaam karenge, aur woh bhi ek dusre ke saath.", he informed.

"Sachi", said Naira and jumped onto him, hugging him tight.

"Sirf hug", he said making a sad face. She gave a millisecond peck on his lips.

"Yeh kya tha, iss se toh better tumhara tight wala hug tha", he said faking sadness

"Seedhe seedhe batao kya chaiye", asked Naira

"Apni jaan ke saath ek chota sa date.", he said

"Tumhari jaan hai, jahan le janna hai le jao", she said wrapping her arms around his neck and laying her head on his chest. Karthik wrapped his hands around her.

"Ma'am yeh office hai please mujhe chodiye, app toh boss ki beti hai, meri nakuri khatre mein pad jayegi, apka kya jayega", Karthik spoke acting all innocent.

"Agar tumhari naukri chali jayega, mera pyaar office se chala jayega", she answered in a this is so obvious tone.

They looked at each other each other for a second and then laughed at their silliness and decided to get the work started.
