Just as Karthik left, Gayu and Akshara came inside.

"Wow Naira tum toh keher dha rahi ho, aaj toh party mein saree ladke tumhe hi ghurne wale hai", complimented Gayu.

"Hmm sach mein bahut zyada pyaari lag rahi ho", said Akshara putting a kala teeka.

"Di, hum yahan wait kyun kar rahe hai", asked Karthik, because everyone had left and only he and Kirti were at home, they were outside the main gate.

"Karthik, dusri gaadi repair mein hai", reminded Kirti

"I know di, lekin hum taxi toh le sakte hai, kissi ka wait kar rahe hai, kya", asked Karthik confused

"Lo chalo", said Kirti as a car approached them. Karthik saw that Naksh was driving, Gayu on the passenger seat beside him and Naira was sitting at the back.

"hum yaha", asked Naira

"Yeah actually unki gaadi kharab thi, toh papa had asked to pick Karthik and Kirti up, waise bhi hum sab ko ek jaghe hi toh janna hai", answered Naksh

Karthik gave a big smile as he entered into the car.

"Karthik stop smiling like that", Naira whispered into his ears and Karthik tried to make a straight face.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming here", he asked

"I would have if I knew", she answered

"Waise bhai ne kaha gaadi kharab thi, but as far as I know GV mein humesha time par gadiyon ko servicing ke liye diya jata hai, phir kaise", said Naira

"Tum stupid ho ne", said Karthik

"Oye mendak, mujhe stupid mat kaho, tum stupid", Naira retorted

"Tumhe kya lagta hai, gaadi kharab huyi hai, sab jhut hai, so that baki gharwale venue pe phele phaunche aur dekhe ke sarri tayariyan huyi hai ache se ya nahi.", explained Karthik

"Toh mein yeh bath janti thi, mein bewakoof nahi", she said

"Kabhi toh haar maan liya karo", he said

"Sherni kabhi nahi haarti, aur mendak se toh bilkul nahi", she replied.

"Pyaar mein kya haar kya jeet jaaneman. Hum toh phele se apna dil haar chuke hai.", he said romantically making Naira giggle.

The were talking in whispers, so the other three couldn't hear them, could only see there expressions. This was nothing new since childhood it was like this only, they used to talk between themselves in hush tones as if they were talking some secret , laugh, giggle, pout, at times show angry faces.

The youngsters opened the door it was all dark. Next second the lights came on.

"Happy Birthday", all the guest, including Naksh, Gayu and Kirti, wished aloud.

The families hugged the two wishing them once again.

"Dadu kaha hai", asked Karthik as he couldn't find his grandfather.

"Even I didn't see babuji from the afternoon", said Manish.

"tumhare dadu ki bahut important meeting, dusre sher mein, woh toh janna hi nahi chate the, main ne hi unn se nahi kaha ke woh chale jaye, zarrori kaam tha issi liye" said Dadi and Karthik smiled sadly

"It is okay dadi, I understand kaam bhi toh bahut important hai.", said Karthik trying to hide his hurt.

"Karthik please bura feel mat karo, am sure bahut zyada important hoga jo unho ne aaj ka function miss kiya", said Karthik.

"I understand di", Karthik said sadly.

Around 20 minutes had passed since the party had started. Karthik and Naira were both extremely irritated, because all boys were staring at Naira and all girls were hovering over Karthik.

"Naira hum sab ko apne rishtey ke barien mein abhi bataenge", said Karthik

"Karthik, tumhe ho kya gaya hai. Hum ne decide kiya phele carrier par focus, phir sab ko bataenge, ab kya hua", asked Naira

"Dekho sarre ladke tumhe kaise ghurr rahe hai. I want to tell them all that you belong to me.", replied Karthik.

"Yahan ki ladkiyan bhi kaam nahi, dekho sab ke sab tumhare aas pass mandra rahi hai", said Naira, with an irritated expressions

"Ek aur idea hai", Karthik said with a smirk. Naira understood that Karthik was thinking about their prom,  no one knew about their relationship, so all girls were eyeing Karthik and boys looking at Naira continuously. Then Naira got a perfect idea and pressed her lips on his for a second, and with in one second all eyes were away from them message was clear, Karthik was Naira's and she was his.

"No Karthik don't even think of pulling that stunt, our families are here and even if they don't see now, these all are children of business associates, kahi na kahi se unhe pata chalo jayega and I don't want that our families get to know from outside.", said Naira and Karthik agreed knowing that she was right.

"So ab", asked Karthik

"I guess humein in sab ko bardasht karna hoga, kuch ghanto ke liye", she replied

"God, hum ne party ke liye haan kahan hi kyun", asked Karthik

"Kyun ke gharwale aur unki feelings zyada important hai", she answered. So Kaira behaved normal and friendly with everyone. making sure that no one gets a hint of what is cooking between them.

"Neend nahi arahi hai, mein kya karun", Naira thought to herself sitting on the bed, it was the middle of the night but she wasn't getting sleep.

"Karthik ko call karun, nahi, raat ke 1 baj rahe hai, woh toh ghode bhej ke so raha hoga. Mein Gayu di ke kamre mein jaati hun, wahan so jaungi", decided Naira

"Nahi, nahi Naira kya kar rahi hai agar sote waqt tere mun se karthik ya mendak nikal gaya, sarra ka sarra bhanda phut jayega", Naira told herself.

"Aaj raat toh neend nahi ayegi, mere mendak ke krishnaji, kuch madat kijiye ne meri", Naira prayed

"Mendak ke krishnaji na sahi, shayad yeh mendak apke kaam aajaye", said Karthik as he climbed up from the window. Naira jumped from the bed and gave him a tight hug.

"Tum abhi tak jag rahe the", she asked

"Tum bhi toh jagha rahi thi", he said

"Tum phele nahi asakte the phir", she complained

"Kaise aata, 12 baaje tak almost purri family mere kamre mein the, 4 saal ke liye iss din par woh mere saath nahi the issi liye woh iss baar sara time mere saath guzarna chate the. Phir sab ke sonne ka intezaar karna pada, phir yaha aiya hun", he answered

"Waise mein roz roz toh yaha nahi asakte", said Karthik

"Kyun nahi asakte, yeh adat tumne mujhe daali hai, bachpan mein mumma, papa ke saath soti thi aur jab thodi badi huyi gayu Di, ke saath phir akele sonne ki adat pad gayi, magar tumhari wajhe se mujhe akele neend nahi aati, and I can't sleep with anyone else also out of the fear that your name will come out of my mouth. Toh ab tumhare.......", she ranted, Karthik whisked her off her feet all of a sudden, silencing her.

"Shikayat baad mein karna, bahut raat ho gayi hai, so jao", he said laying her on the bed.

"Go to sleep", he said softly kissing her temple and caressing her hair. Naira shifted her head from the bed to his lap.

"Karthik, tum yaha kyun nahi asakte", asked Naira

"Madam agar meri neend time par nahi khuli aur kissi ne mujhe dekh liya, ya phir raat ke beech koyi mere kamre mein aye aur yeh dekhe ke mein hun hi nahi phir hum kya jawab denge, socha hai", he asked.

"Sab kuch mein hi soch ke batun, tum toh bhi kuch kaam kiya karo", she answered

"Acha ji matlab mein koyi kaam ka nahi hun", he said turning his face upwards and looking away from her.

Naira pinched his hand to get a reaction but didn't get any, she continued it.

"Naira bandh karo yeh and go to sleep", he said, without looking at her, pretending to be irritated, but Naira didn't listen and continued.

"Aise nahi manoge", said Karthik and took her off his lap onto the bed and started tickling her.

"Mendak, stop, mendak please stop", she said between her laughs.
