2 months leap...

"Doctor, I will be able to dance again after this surgery, right?"

"Yes you will Naira singhania, don't you worry." Naira started smiling widely. For the first time in these past weeks she truly felt happy and satisfied.

Wait till I tell Kartik, that mendhak will jump around in joy- she stopped and her smile fell. Right. She wasn't with him.

It had been two months. Two months since the wedding, two months since they had interacted with each other. Yes, Kartik and his family would come to visit Mansi (who was still there until they were ready to move out), but the little eye-contacts they made, the glances they stole at each other, were nothing compared to what they felt. They were easing up to each other, yes, but still feared for Suvarna's sake.

As Naira returned back to her home from the doctor's appointment, she found the Goenka family was also there, to visit Mansi. Kartik stood behind the couch, smiling a small smile. She put on a smile as well and went to greet them, but when her eyes met Suvarna, she looked away and silently greeted her. Suvarna just scowled at her and turned away as well.

She joined Kartik behind the couch, and Naira gazed over the fighting Mansi and Anmol who were arguing over who would have the last laddoo.

"... hum bhi aise his ladte the na?" She whispered out of nowhere, and Kartik chuckled wistfully.

"Haan. I, the poor mendhak, was nothing compared to your sherni attitude."

"Yeh to sach hai!" She started laughing her heart out. He gave her a look at that but slowly joined in the laughter. Their families watched from away, smiling at the interaction.

They froze when realizing what they were doing. No. they weren't falling for each other again. They couldn't. It would cause too much pain. Why Kartik, why do you keep making me fall for you?

Why are we like this Naira? We used to be each other's shadow, not we're just souls without a heart. Why do we have to be like this? Am i really to blame? I didn't support you whenever maa stood against you, am i to blame?

Yes. yes you are. She excused herself and walked away.

"Kartik. Come. we're leaving." Suvarna got up.

"You can go maa, i'm not coming." He knew it was another trick of hers to take him away from his sherni, but he wasn't falling for it. Without another word he walked off as well, behind Naira. Suvarna frowned.

Naira was feeling... sick. She didn't know why, but she felt really sick. She raced to the bathroom and vomited in the toilet.

Kartik tried to search where she could have gone, but didn't find her. She wasn't in her room, she wasn't in the kitchen, where was she?

"Arre Kartik beta." He was cut off by another voice as Rajshri walked out of her own room smiling. Kartik blinked at her and started smiling, racing towards her and hugging her as well.

"Nani? Aap yaha?'

"Haan. I came two 2 months to visit, but didn't get a chance to visit you as well. How is my son doing?"

"Acha houn nani, aap sunae?" Her smile dropped.

"How can I be happy when my children are in this condition." He went silent at that, looking away. "Kartik, why? You loved her, and you still do, I can see it in both your eyes, then why?"

"You don't know what it's been like nani. We've been away for too long, we have hurt each other too much, it's hard to heal it again." She sighed sadly and turned him to face her again.

"Both of you are so stupid, honestly! Love doesn't have limits, it doesn't matter if you've been away for 1000 years even, true love always reunites when both we you try together. When one gets hurt, the other is there for him or her."

"That's just it nani! I wasn't there for Naira when she needed me. I instead ignored her, deserted her in an attempt to keep my broken maa together, I didn't even consider how SHE would feel." That still hurt him. It pulled strings to his heart, but not that of love, that of pain. He didn't deserve her, right? "H-honestly, i'm scared. Scared i'd break her again." He confessed truthfully.

"You are dwelling over past mistakes. Those don't matter now, what matters is that you try to not make the same mistake again. Your fears of hurting others shouldn't stop you from trying to make your love stronger." She smiled softly. "Believe me, both of you just have to realize that."

With that she gave him a motherly kiss on the forehead and left to join the others.

Kartik stared up the stairs, to her room. Her sherni was there, and she needed him. He knew what he had to do now. If only he had the courage to do so.

Suddenly a servant, who he recognized as their gardener, ran in looking panicked. "THE GOENKA VILLA IS PUT ON FIRE! SOME BANDITS PUT EVERYTHING ON FIRE!"

..... DUN DUN DUN! I'm back people! My hand is healing (and feels sooo soft), and I managed to write this. After a 2 month leap, Suvarna is still angry (like she wasn't always). Kartik and Naira are still delirious so Rajshri nani knocks some sense into Kartik to talk things out with Naira. Loved Rajshri nani's motive to solve things out, YAY she returned! To be honest when I saw the show and learned that kaira got divorced (even if they didn't want to), I wanted to cry 😢. My favorite ship, all gone! Who knows what's happening next.
