She knew it was no use. As much as she tried, she knew she would return one way or another. Either having understood her mistakes, or not.

Rajshri's attention immediately snapped to the doors that had opened wide by a few of the servants, and the uniform-clad men stepped in. The police officer looked around as everyone immediately stood up at their sudden appearance.

"Is this the Singhania and Goenka family?" The officer asked strictly and Manish with Naitik stepped up.

"Yes it is. But, what happened officer? Why the sudden visit? Did something happen?" Naitik raised an eyebrow in suspicion. Why would the police, all of a sudden, decide to visit them out of nowhere. The police officer sighed and took his hat off.

"Yes. I say with grief that Suvarna Goenka got in a car accident and has fallen in a coma."

Everyone froze and Kartik immediately shot up from beside the shocked Naira. What?! She got in an accident?! What accident?! Why would she get into an accident?! All these thoughts raced through her mind, just as surprised and shaken as everyone else.

She... wasn't the cause, was she...?

"Yeh aap kya keh rahe hai officer?! What happened to her?!" Manish, looking conflicted and shocked, asked the questions running through their minds, and the officer sighed again.

"She was wandering around the streets when a car came towards her causing an accident. She was immediately sent to the hospital to get treated, and is alive, don't worry. Per... she has fallen in a coma."

Silence. Then Manish ran out without a word, accompanied by Akhilesh and Mohit, likely going to the hospital. He had to see her. He had to see his WIFE.

"AND, she also keeps saying it's all 'Naira's' fault. Kya aap jante hai yaha per Naira kon hai?" The officer asked again, raising an eyebrow. Naira, without thinking, slowly raised a shaky hand.

No. I don't want to go to jail. What if something happens, what if i'm never able to meet my Kartik again. What if something happens to our baby and-

"You're going to have to come with us to the police station mam."

"WHAT?!" Kartik shot up not noticing Naksh do the same. "You can't take her away! Naira ne kuch nahi kiya!" He protectively wrapped his arms around the still-surprised Naira. He wasn't letting them take her away! Let them even TOUCH her and he'll-

"-aur aapko to pata hai saas bahu main jhagde hote rehte hai!" He heard Naksh protest as well. "My sister hasn't done anything wrong! Besides, she's pregnant!"

"We'll take care of her, but according to law we must interrogate every suspect involved in the case." But how was she involved to begin with?! She wasn't even there, Suvarna just said her name is all! What kind of law was that?! "Men, hold him away and take the girl." What?!

"No! Khabardaar uss to haat bhi lagaye to!" Kartik argued as the men held him back.

"Kartik calm down!" Naira reassured smiling worriedly at him. "I'll be fine. B-bas kuch sawaal hi to puchne hai na, right?"

"Exactly. If you wish, a few of you may come with us." Kartik eased at that and nodded, and the men let him go. Naira smiled reassuringly at him as he came by her side again and intertwined her hands with him.

Her hand was torn away however, when the police-women took her away from him. What were they- "She'll be with us in the police car."

He grumbled. Of course, the law. Stupid law. What kind of law separated two lovers?!

Naira glanced back at him as they started to leave and gave him another reassuring smile. As long as she had her mendhak by her side, she wouldn't fear anything.

Kartik heard Naitik say something about Kirti and Naksh going with Kartik, and didn't have to be told twice when Kirti asked him to come along. They immediately ran outside just as the police car pulled out and rode off. They themselves got in a car and went after it.

Everything was happening too fast. He didn't have time to grasp and understand the situation. He knew he had to be there for his sherni.

Meanwhile...

"E-excuse me!" Manish stopped at the recipient who looked up at him. Akhilesh and Mohit stopped right behind him. "Where can I find Suvarna Goenka? I'm her husband!"

"Oh. Welcome sir. She was admitted just yesterday, and luckily her doctor recognized who she was. She's in the room... A14."

Without wasting a second he ran to the hallways searching for the room he was told. A1, A7, A12... "Suvarna!" He reached the room he was told and burst in, startling the doctors and nurses inside.

"Ah. you must be Manish Goenka, her husband." On the bed lay an unconscious Suvarna, in a hospital gown and surrounded by machines. Something inside him ached and he neared her, not hearing a single thing the doctor was saying, neither did he hear when Akhilesh and Mohit ran in after him.

Why. why did you do this? Was your stubbornness more stronger than the love for your son? He clenched his fists. Why are you doing this?! He knew what she was doing.

Because I hate her.

..... Yes, I know what you're thinking. "What are you doing?! Putting Suvarna in an accident again?!😨😵" there's a twist however. No, i'm not making her die, of course not😶! The police randomly appear at their house and take Naira away from her Kartik, meanwhile Manish goes to the hospital after Suvarna. In the actual show it's revealed to Kartik about him and Ashi getting married, and I really wanted him to give her a lecture about this. Rajshri nani did that instead XD!😂😂😂
