I had written this when a friend on IF asked me too. Thought of sharing it here.

Naira was angry and why wouldn't she, Karthik hadn't wished her yet on their this special day. He didn't even seem to remember that one year was completed for their wedding. Forget about anniversary, he hadn't even bothered to say a good bye before he left for office.

Naira pushed open the academy doors and was greeted by darkness, as she switched on the lights and immediately flowers petals rained upon her. She noticed that the entire hall was decorated beautifully, rose petals scattered all over the floor, cherry blossom strings coming down from the ceiling and on its end there were golden frames with her and Karthik's wedding pictures in it, from their engagement to their marriage. The pillars were decorated with her favourite white lillies. The wall to the right had the pictures of all of her and Karthik's beautiful moments from the day they met till now. The words "and many more to come were written beside it in big letters", on the empty space on the wall. She smiled looking at all of this, tears filling her eyes remembering their splendid journey.

"Happy Wedding Anniversary My Sherni.  Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for giving me my family. Thank you for giving me the privilege to call you my wife. Thank you for making me feel so blest. Thank you for everything", A voice called out, she saw him walking down the winding stairs in the left corner.

"Nahi Karthik, thank you. Thank you for helping me get my Mumma back. Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for giving me a second family. Thank you for being my husband, the best I could have gotten. Thank you for completing me", She spoke walking up to him, holding his hand in hers, the tears in her eyes falling as she spoke.

"Yeh kya main ne yeh saab apni pyaari sherni ki smile aur khushi ke liye kiya, aur dekho yeh toh ro rahi hai", he said wiping her tears away.

"Jiss pal tum meri zindagi mein qadam rakha, tabhi hi zindagi mein khushi agayi.", Naira said

"Nahi Naira, tumhare anne se meri zindagi mein har taraf khushiyan cha gayi.", Karthik said

"Nahi phele tum ne mujh sarri kushiyan di, phir bas zindagi ne mujhe mokay diya tumhe uss me se kuch lotanney ka", Naira answered back

"Di hogi main ne kuch kushiyan tumhe, lekin lotiya toh tum ne usse kahi kahi zyada hai mujhe", Karthik answered   

"Dard bhi tumhe bahut zyada diya, bar bar misunderstand kiya", Naira reminded.

"Tum ne jab bhi misunderstand kiya, tumhare pass ek wajhe thi, kissi ki beti ki hasiyat se kiya, main hi uss waqt tumhe samjh nahi pay a. Aur jaise mein ne kabhi tumhe misunderstand nahi kiya", Karthik said

"Acha, agar meri galti maaf hai kyun ke main ne jo kiya woh ek beti ki hasiyat se kiya, phir tum ne bhi jo kiya ek Bhai honne ki wajhe se kiya. Aur main ne bhi waqt laggiya tumhe samajhne mein ", Naira told him.

"Okay, kuch galtiyan meri, kuch tumhari, lekin hum ne galati se zyada sahi kiya hai, warna aaj itne kamm waqt mein, zindagi mein itni mushqilen anne ke bawajud hum itne khush na hote, said Karthik

"Haan woh toh hai, main ne kabhi kabhi hum halaton ke samne kuch waqt ke liye har gaye, manna ke kabhi kabhi mushkilon ne humein jhukiya,  kabhi giriya. Lekin hum ne humesha uss har ko jeet mein badal diya, baar baar phir se khade huye", she agreed

"Aur humari life ke had hurdle ne humein aur qareeb liya", he completed and the two smiled at one another.

He played their favourite tune yahan waha on the player and they both danced to the music.

He pulled her closer as the song finished and placed a soft kiss on her temple, then went to her eyes, then cheeks and was about to press their lips when she pushed him away and ran inside.

"Sherni bahut sharmani laggi hai aaj kal", Karthik thought to himself as he followed her. He realized she was going to her cabin, so he followed entering behind her. She turned back and gave him a naughty smile and walked towards him. Pressing him on to the door as she locked it.

"Tumhe kya lagga, sharma kar bhag gayi, bilkul nahi, mein sherni hun aur sherni rahungi.", She said naughtily and crashed her lips with his, they continued to kiss each other, going from calm to passionate to wild. When she suddenly broke the kiss, looking all worried.

"Kya hua", Karthik asked concerned

"Karthik iss sab mein, mein bhul gayi students aate honge", she said

"Koyi nahi ayega, main ne pehele se unhe inform kar diya aaj chutti hogi. Aur gharwalo ne bhi kaha aaj humari wedding anniversary hai Aur who bhi phele wali, toh aaj ke din hum dono ek dusre ke saath hi time spend kare.", he told her and a smile came on her face.

"Toh kaha the hum", she asked in a romantic tone

"Second surprise", he answered

"Second surprised", she asked confused, but didn't answer just took the keys from the table.

Naira was totally confused at what was happening, first he took her in the car to their private plane. She asked him a million times during their journey where they were going but didn't get any answer.

"You will get your answers soon", He said as the plane just landed and then blind folded her without informing.

As the blind fold came off Naira was in for a beautiful surprise. She was at home, the home that took her in when she had gone far away from home, she was in Rishikesh, in Sparsh Ashram, Negi uncle, Pungi and all the other kids standing in front of her, banners of welcome and happy anniversary hanging from the ceiling. All of them wishing the two in chorus. Naira rushed and hugged everyone emotionally, asking how they were. She passed thankful smile to Karthik.

"Tina di, oops sorry Naira di, chalo ne aaj hum sab purra Rishikesh ghumte hai", said one of the kids.

"Haan chalo", Karthik replied before Naira could answer.

All the ashram kids, pungi, Negi Uncle and Kaira went for a tour around Rishikesh. When they came back to the ashram it was already seven in the evening. Before Karthik could enter inside, Naira tied a black cloth on his eyes.

"Naira kya hai yeh", Karthik asked confused

"Mere surprise ki baari hai aab, tum chup chap mere saath chalo".

Naira opened Karthik's blindfold and he saw that they were in the back yard area of the ashram. The place was lit with chilli bulbs, a table of two in the centre, the decorations were with blue drapes and white flowers. Naira took him near to the table and he noticed a number of closed dishes were on it. She lifted up the lids and looked at him, he gave her a million dollar smile. They were all the Rishikesh delicacies that he had mentioned to her about, that he had loved eating when he had come to Rishikesh two years ago. She would often make them at home for him.

"Lekin tum ne yeh saab kab kiya, decorations, yeh khanna ", he asked confused

"Mein ne khud kuch nahi kiya, mein ne decorations chandu se karwiya, aur yeh kahne bhi wohi liya, woh unhi sarre hotels se jahan tum ne yeh saab kuch pehli baar khaiya.", Naira replied

"Saachi, I love you", said Karthik, picking a spoon and digging into the dish not even bothering to sit down and use a plate. Naira smile at her food loving husband.

"Saab akele kha jaoge mein kya bhuki rahungi", Naira asked seeing that Karthik was munching away on the food and hadn't even bothered to ask her.

"Main ne tumhare haath bandh ke rakhe hai, kahne ko kiss ne roka, lo mein khilata hoon", he said and fed her one bite.

"Mmm, saach mein bahut yummy hai, I had missed all this" said Naira relishing the food and then grabbed the spoon from Karthik, not wanting to bother searching a second spoon on the table and started eating, to which he gave her a your unbelievable look. After all if he was a bhukad, she was a chatori.

Naira smiled looking at his expressions and then bought the spoon close to his mouth to feed him.  And they continued making one another eat.

They were still in the back yard, now laying down looking at the stars.

"Thank you", Naira said all of a sudden

"Yeh surprise tum ne diya tha, thanks toh mujhe kehna chaiye", he said

"Mein phele ki baath kar rahi thi, tumhara mann tha ke aaj ka din hum dono akele ho aur ek dusre ke saath ho, phir bhi jab Rishikesh tour karne ki baari ayi tum ne mere liye haan kiya. Thank you.", said Naira

"Nahi mein ne sirf apne liya, haan kiya. Yeh saach his ke mein chata tha ke aaj hum dono, sirf hum dono ho, lekin mein yeh bhi chata tha ke mein tumhe bahut sarri khushiyan, aur aisa toh nahi ke aaj hum dur the, hum pass hi toh the, baki sab ke saath hi sahi", Karthik replied

"Aur yeh itna sweet surprise jo tum ne mujhe diya. Trust me I have loved every single second of this day.", he assured her.

"Kya tum is din ko badalna chahogi", he questioned.

"Never", she said with a smile and snuggled closer.
