"What's wrong?" She asked as he was acting edgy, she walked over to him and sat on the bed.

"Kartik" she cupped his face "did something happen.." she asked him

"Esa kuch nai, I just didn't feel like going to the temple today, sorry Naira I'm just tired" he said she let go of him.

"Your lying you can't even look me in the eye, but I'm not leaving untill you tell me!" She said sitting next to him. He cupped her cheek

"I'm so messed up Naira" he sobbed.

"no your not..shhh" she said and wiped his tears

"Sorry" he said "I um.."

"Kartik don't be sorry, just let me in" she said taking his hands in her lap.. he looked at her but he remained quiet.

"I'm fine just a weak moment no big deal, it's late you should um.." he said then got up..

'Kartik why are you so disturbed this isn't good' she got up and stood behind him.

"I'll go, but listen" she held his hand

"if you feel like talking then I'll be in my room" he squeezed her hand.. which was a response not verbally but in this way, Kartik heard his room door shut.

'What the fuck is wrong with me, obviously I still love her now there is nothing to keep us apart she is divorced, no Salil no one then what!!

He was getting irritated with his own mind.. Naira saw it was getting late, she thought she should go to sleep now.. just then someone knocked on her door.

'Who is it at this time' she opened the door in her night dress.

"I know it's late but I was wondering if your offer still stands?" Said Kartik she nodded

"Of course it does come in" she held his hand and closed her door.

"By the way there is something I need to tell you..we um didn't go all the way last night" she revealed

"Oh.. but kuch to Hua, I keep getting these mental images of you on my bed wearing nothing" Naira's cheeks blushed

"That we can talk about later, first you sit and let's talk" he nodded to her.. but didn't move..

"Come" she walked him to the bed

"Now tell me what's on your mind" she said rubbing his hand.

"I just feel like..I don't know like everything just goes wrong that I let you down constantly" he said

"How have you let me down?" She asked him

"Humara baby and i- she heard the hurt in his tone.

"nai Kartik in fact I hurt you, we both suffered a loss, but I only acted like I lost the baby I didn't think about how you were feeling what your heart was feeling I was being selfish, but why did you leave that is what disturbed me and you didn't see me for two weeks..and..

"Go on?.. he asked seeing that she was holding something back

"Well your suppose to love me, but for two weeks you were not even in contact" she said telling him her feelings from that time.

"I'm so sorry I wanted to be there, the day of the accident I found out Savitri is my mumma and she caused the accident, baby I wasn't thinking straight and more than anything I felt you would be better off without me"

"Kartik please don't think like that" she said feeling sad to hear all  this how broken he was.

"maybe that's why we lost the baby because I'm not good enough for you Naira"

"Enough how could you think like that!" She snapped

"My whole life Naira I wanted to just feel loved, but no one wants to.. dadi,mumma, and at that time you didn't want me, you told me that day you didn't believe in my love" he said wiping a tear

"I should never have said that I'm so sorry" she rubbed his back

"The thoughts I had that night Naira, were bad I can't even say what" he said looking ahead.

 "Tell me.." she prompt him

"It was only because of how we left things" he said

"It's ok just tell me.. " she asked him

"I though you were relieved that you didn't have to carry my child anymore, dadi always said I was a waste"

"Relieved? I can't believe you would think that. seeing as we are making confession I have one to tell you" she said to him.

" haan bolo?" He asked her

 "Kartik I was so broken,I  wanted to get pregnant again with you that night because I couldn't deal with losing our baby" she revealed to him

"Naira" he cupped her face.

"Still think I didn't, don't love you?" He shook his head and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Now that we know it was a misunderstanding but you were going to marry Tara, Salil dropped off the invite"

"she got them printed a few weeks back stupid girl hai, I told her not to..and I had no plans to marry her, Manish kept filling my head with rubbish after I found out about Savitri i don't know how he got in my head, making me believe he is looking out for me by making me marry Tara"

"So what happened?" She asked him

"He wanted me to get married but I was not listening I wanted to come see you but I also didn't want to face anyone especially you I didn't how to deal with our loss, the truth about Savitri it was too much so I stayed in my room for those two weeks, behind my back he was organising my wedding I came know, and then i heard him saying it's a good for business and he doesn't care about me" Kartik went quiet.

"So much crap happened with you but I was thinking the worst" she said feeling bad

"After I came to see you, and how wrong it went I decided to leave India for good, I was broken you didn't want me" he admitted

"I did! I regretted how rudely I spoke to you I wanted to reach out to you" she said hugging his side, Kartik placed one arm around her.

"I wish you had baby" he said holding her close, they were like that for a few seconds just reflecting on their huge misunderstanding.

"So how did you end up here?" She asked him..

"I sneaked out of India and randomly just took to any destination, Indonesia was the one my mind thought of, I stayed in a hotel a few nights, then one night i drank alot and passed out on the street" he revealed

"Oh God Kartik thank God nothing happened to you..it didn't right?" She asked with concern showing in her tone,he nodded

"A good thing happened father Antonio found me and I found peace" he said with a little smile

"Good I'm glad" she said

"So I became religious, i made an oath that i will be celibate because i wanted to punish myself for the way I've hurt everyone I've truly ever loved, but i messed that up too." he said

"Because of me?" She asked feeling bad.

"no because of me, i can't control when I'm around you, but maybe that is God's will, otherwise why would he send you here  to the same place that I'm in?" He said he caressed her nape.

"that's me done, you tell me what happened in those months before you came here?" He asked her.

"I needed to get away, but I didn't stop thinking about you everyday and prayed you were well and alive. Salil wanted us to try again but I made it clear I was not interested and he had to give me a divorce. Masimaa chose this Retreat and here we are"

"back to the same place with each other, so now that you know.." he said

"are you feeling better after speaking about it?" She asked him

"hmm..I guess I don't know, I mean really what does it matter to you, I don't know why your wasting your time on me"

"Chup! She shouted

" it matters alot to me" She turned his face to her, her eyes met with his vulnerable ones..

" why..?"

 "Why? because I love you mendak" her eyee were soft "I love you so much, I just can't stop even with your mood swings your attitude it doesn't matter because I want you always" she said her eyes started to tear he wiped her tears.

"I love you, I love you so much" he said then pressed his forehead to hers. Their nose touched,

"Last night we didn't go all the way then right now we should" he said then touched his lips gently on hers.

"but sherni what happened last night remember we started coughing, and then I was in your room"

"Actually Vee told me last night some new person who arrived, was burning an aphrodisiac incense in their room and accidentally left it in the corridor it was intoxicating and that is why we ended up together except we didn't have sex" she said

"But we were naked" he reminded her

"Yah but we did stuff.. but not that I mean I would know obviously" she said and he nodded

"I remember saying I had protection in my wallet but I didn't I know that for a fact after my vow I didn't have that kind of intentions, untill you arrived here" he said to her.

"And now what are your intentions?"

she asked him. " I love you I meant that Naira" he said

"I'm glad we talked Kartik..you should go in your room now it's late.. she said to him.

"Your right, I have class too" he said.. she walked him to the door.

"ok then goodnight" he said and then took her in a hug. She hugged him back, he inhaled her neck and hair, she loved hugging him.

'What am I doing, she is not asking me to stay but I am not staying either'

"Thank you for listening to me baby" he said releasing her but kept his hands on her shoulders, she let go of him.

"Goodnight my mendak" she said then walked to the bed..Kartik stood at the door, she started remove her night dress, she could feel his gaze on her..was she unintentionally seducing him.. she folded her nightdress and was just in her inners now..she walked over and got into bed.

'Naira is sleeping in just her bra and panties.. he close door.. Naira felt a wet kiss on her nape, she turned and found Kartik topless and just in his boxers

"Kartik tum gaye nai?" She said

" shhh.." he admired her, face, his finger traced down from her forehead, nose and rested on her lips. He turned her and now she was on her back he got on top of her..he took her hand and kissed each finger tip and gently sucked it, which started to turn her on. With her free hand, she started to caress his chest. Their eyes were locked in a magnetic force.

"I love you sherni I never stopped, I can't stop" he said then gave her a small peck on the lips.

"I am sorry I wasn't there for you when you found out about Savitri, the truth,losing our baby, you must be felt so alone" she said as she looked deep into his eyes.

"Shhh it's ok" he said wiping her tear, she shook her head.

" it's not how can I be so selfish and just throw you out of bed after we made love that night, I'm sorry I didn't think of your pain I'm not a good person I hurt the love of my life" he cupped her face.

"It's all forgotten, I don't blame you" he said and kissed her temple.he then gave her a hug, she felt so good in his arms, she caressed his nape and back as they were in a embrace.

"Let's sleep,I'll take you to the temple in the morning ok I won't do any private class tomorrow" he said, she nodded

" that will be nice" she said he lifted himself slightly off and rubbed his nose to hers.

"good" he said, he came on his back and pulled her close,she rested her cheek on his pec, soon they both fell asleep.

"actually sherni I am feeling ok, surpringly it's peaceful here, i use to have a photo of Krishnaji in my school bag when I was  younger it feels good to connect again" he said standing in front of the idol of lord Krishna

"That's great, ladugopal bless my mendak with happiness always" she said and then picked up the aarti and blessed his head.

"Ek second hold this  thali.. she said " hmm now follow me" Kartik walked behind her, a gust of wind blew and the kumkum from the thali went on Naira but most of it in her mang.

"akhand saubhagyavati" said the priest walking past them, Kartik looked at her, it looked like she had sindoor in her mang from his hands.

"Kartik place that thali here" she said as they came in front of  a idol of Maa durga, Naira closed her eyes and prayed and Kartik did too. Both didn't talk about what just happened, she bowed down and then Kartik did, some kumkum trickled into his palm, he got up and noticed his palm was red. He looked at  maa's idol and folded his palms.

"Chale?" she said to him. He nodded  to her,

'Sindoor or kumkum, is this a sign Krishnaji?' His mind reflected.
