She was being strong and ignoring everything Tara told her she had to make a good impression on her 1st day at work unfortunately life has to go on even when its difficult.

"Naira good your early I am very strict on punctuality" said Ashok

"Yes boss" she said she was in a trousers and a blazer with her hair tied in a ponytail.

"Welcome aboard properly" he shook her hand.

"Thank you Ashokji" he chuckled

"Please call me Akky" he said pushing his specs up.

"Look I know I come across as strict but that was before..you are one of us now" he said with a smile.

"Ok then Akky" she said finding it a bit weird but he seemed welcoming which was good.

"Right come with me I'll show you to your desk" she nodded he walked forward and introduced her to the staff as he walked and talked.

"right here we are Rashmi come here this is Naira she is joining from today"

"Rashmi will show you around where the washroom is and kitchen etc but for now I want you to get stuck in" she looked at her desk "those are articles you need to proof read and send your review and feedback before it goes for print then these need to be organised for the next piece" she nodded and then got busy and diverted her mind away from her personal life her first day went nicely she left around 5pm.

"I can't wait to tell my mendak he.." she had actually forgotten for a minute then she remembered what Tara said.

"Did Kartik already move on from me?" A tear threatened to fall from her eye her phone rang.

"Masi maa" she said

"Betiyaraani how was your 1st day?"

"Haan my day went good.."

"Yes I just finished work I am on my way" she said then ended the call.

"I know someone at the court they both are legally married! So legally she can take Kartik from here or come stay in this house"

"By the way where is Kartik?" She asked

"He is having a shower in the guestroom ensuite" she said

"No..I guess I am trying not to think about it I um..honestly don't know what to do if I go over Savitri won't let me anywhere near him I did ring him in hope but his phone is unreachable I don't know if he even has it on him"

"Savitri I can't stand that manos aurat"

"I honestly feel helpless in this situation sometimes I feel like I should finally let go for now because he doesn't want to meet me then how can i..." she broke down.

"John I am just going in the main room" he nodded

A few weeks passed Naira got busy with work but decided to stay at her home it was hard some days but it got a bit easier was she slowly letting go? If only it was that easy to switch your feelings on and off..

"Hello?" She answered a unknown call

"Naira its Vikaas can you meet me?" She had just finished work and went to meet him at his place.

"Nai Vikas I um..can't " she said

"Bhabhi please don't lose hope he loves you alot when his memories come back"

"If his memories come back so far there hasn't been any progress and the doctor said not to stress him and that's why I haven't tried to get in contact with him because I don't wa t to disturb him"

"So your giving up on him if Tara gets her way with bhai then you will regret it bhabhi not just that he will feel hurt that you didn't rescue him from her" he said

"He won't let me anywhere near him I love him of course but.. I am helpless"

"Fine then I..

"Have you spoken to him?" She asked he shook his head

"Bua isn't even letting me meet him" she nodded

"It breaks my heart but mein kya karo" she said and then left because she didn't know what more she could do.

"Mein milunga mere bhaiya ko and that too tomorrow!" He said

Naira started driving and came to a traffic light "Vikaas thinks I don't care I cry my self to sleep on memories of him and us"

"Vikas tum yaha.. said Savitri she had gone shopping with Kartik.

Vikas brother what's up" Kartik hugged him Savitri didn't want them to meet at all but today she couldn't stop him as Kartik had seen him.

"How is dad bua said he is on a business trip I miss him and why haven't you seen me it's been weeks yaar" he said

"Sorry I have been busy and dad misses you too he sends his regards chal kuch baat karni hai"

"Oh she is is highly irritating" he said "actually bua bhi thoda overly sweet ban rahi hai anyways what did you want to talk about?"

"Actually my phone I um can't get into it I thought shayad it can jog some memory but no one knows the passcode he said.

"I'll have a look" he said taking it.

"Tara upar Vikas aya hai woh Kartik se kuch baat Kar raha hai"

"About Naira?"

"I don't know the room is locked she said "I'll check in a minute but look what I have divorce papers for Naira and Kartik"

"hmm but Naira ki sign kese laogi?" She asked

"Seeing his sign she will sign for sure here keep them mein abhi ayi" she reached upstairs

"Thanks little bro come" he said coming out of the room.

" Tara ahem I'll be off then" Kartik saw him off and didn't speak much but something was in his mind" he turned around midway.

"Anyone know why I have this pendant?" He said showing the pendant.

"Kaira?" He asked showing Savitri, Tara and Salil

"Kaira..it sounds familar I don't know why Kaira kaha suna hai maine.." He said and everyone looked a bit shocked.

"Tara you say your my wife why am I wearing this pendant?"

"Beta.. she walked up to him "ese hi hoga i'll remove it" said Savitri

"Nai!" he moved her hand and put it in his t-shirt again "I feel close to it" he said then walked away.

"Kaira sounds very much like Naira"

"I know but he hasn't clicked on so..that's a good thing.

"I got it sounds like Naira" he said drinking his water.

"Kartik I um need you to sign something?"

"Its just so I can you know get some money out of our account " she lied

"I told you I'll help financially so bring it over" he said

"Great here let's go to the main room" she told him.

"Yah I'm coming" she gave him a pen but his gut was telling him something isn't right"

'There are two papers here' he looked and saw it at the bottom then covered it again

"Your taking a while to sign it.. she looked down

"What the what is that!"

"Its a Sherni I drew it" he said "but why your suppose to sign..

"Its a court order I know that stamp but of what care to explain? and sign I can't remember my signature even then how will I sign?"

"Beta Tara is..

"Bas bua! You always support her I have had enough of you all of you telling me I can't leave the house on my own or I can't talk to dad when he rang and my phone no one even helped me with it and my memory I still can't remember anything now even the appointments are less"

"Sorry beta for overwhelming you really sorry" she repeated

"Yes ok boss just I want to finish one more" he closed her laptop

"Well i have some good news I'm promoting you as editor of our new paper"

"oh my God sir I um don't know what to you say" she couldn't believe it.

"You work hard you deserve it so I am treating all the staff to dinner tonight at the new hotel that just opened you can go home now to get ready..Sunil not there.. excuse me Naira" she nodded

"I'm promoted this is brilliant yay!" She said "what will I wear tonight" she thought but first she finished proof reading the last article she then went home and washed her hair she was very focused on getting ready the new hotel is quite posh so she dressed a bit grand.

"Right I'll just take my purse" she grabbed it and opened the door and was startled

"Naira right? Sorry it's been a while do you um remember? I am"

"K-artik"

"Yah your right can I come in?" He asked her.
