"Flowers" she said finally looking at them with a bright smile. "Baby you must be tired let's go inside" she said once they were inside she took the flowers, he brought his suitcase inside and she held his free hand.

"This looks so pretty on my darling's hand" he kissed her knuckle above her ring and then the ring.she smiled at his actions.

"ok 1st thing I want to ask is how did you come back so fast?" she said

"fast? fine Phirse chala jata hu" he said turniin his back to her ready to walk off..

"Nai,nai" she held his him from the back, crossing her hands over his abs holding him there.

"I am so glad your back" she said pressing her cheek to his back feeling the heat of his body through his shirt. He smiled and turned around "ek second" her phone started ringing ..

"Its Vee" she said "hello Vee?" Said Naira answering the call. "Are you happy to have your fiance back early?" She asked her, Kartik encircled her waist.

"ok thanks Vee bye" she said hanging up. "What did she say?" He asked

"She said to ask you"

"Well I crammed all her classes so I can come early to my gorgeous fiancee " he said she smiled she was thrilled by his surprise she thought she had to wait 7 weeks but that wasn't the case anymore.

"But I am confused about one thing you said you will not step foot in India again remember? so what changed?" she asked

"Actually baby i- just then the doorbell rang

"Just a minute my pizza our pizza Is here" she said excited because she was starving.

'The truth is I am here but it is just for a few days Naira sorry I can't stay but right now I can't tell you because you look very happy'

"Did you eat anything on your flight?" She asked he moved a loose strand out of her face.

"Hmm i did but you eat I'll sit with you" he ga e her lips a peck.

"ok chalo let's catch up" she said they walked to the main room,  she sat leaning on back at the edge of the couch her knees bent, he sat down next to her and draped his hands over her legs , she took a piece out and ate it directly from the box.

"Mmmm this is soo good have a bite" he shook his head "tum khavo na" he replied to which she she shrugged her shoulders. "So.." he rested her feet in his lap "how have your classes been, anything new happening?" He asked because she has taken up yoga here.

"I um lied to masimaa and told her I have a meeting I need to go back tomorrow morning early I promised her and she has been so good to me mendak I haven't told her about us yet I was going to ask..

"Kartik? She said in a soft tone "Sogaye kya?"  She got up and he stirred "Naira, did I fall asleep sorry I.." he drifted off again. Naira ruffled his hair. "Its ok my love you must be exhausted from your flight" she kissed his temple and then took the pizza and put it in the fridge. She then somehow managed to take him in their room she made him comfortable she removed his tie and opened a few shirt buttons, she then got changed and went to sleep cuddling him, happy that he has come back.

"Listen this came for you actually a few days back" Naira saw it was a card. Meanwhile Kartik was waking up and stretched his hand out "sherni" he said in a sleepy tone. "Where is she?" He got up and searched then saw a note on the fridge "sorry had to go to masimaa" he sighed clearly annoyed.

"My 1st night back and she isn't even here" he said. Naira was opening the envelope.

"ok Salil is getting married good he should move on to..Tara.. Tara?" She said

"Wasn't she going to marry Kartik?" Naira's head snapped up she wanted to forget that fact she shrugged her shoulders "are you going to go?" Asked her masimaa "masimaa its tonight" just then Mukesh and his mumma arrived.

"Hello again" said Mukesh Naira gave a fake smile.

"It says Naira and guests, how would you all feel to attend a engagement tonight" said masimaa.

"Indian wedding I don't have anything to wear" he said

"Really then why did you leave?" He asked her

"I had to masimaa needed me home she has guests from Australia and Kartik she has been so good with me so.."

"Salil is getting engaged i know tonight I got an invite but I am not attending"

"You shouldn't go either darling instead come back here" he pouted

"Yeah I'll just grab my purse, Naira went with him but was least interested "di it's ok see you in the evening" she said hanging up.

"How is this one" Naira rolled her eyes she couldn't give a damn why did she waste her precious time.

"Yeah that one" she lied not caring at all she just wanted to leave. Once they reached home Naira went to get ready she was looking beautiful she just thought how Kartik would feel seeing her he loves her in sari.

"Perfect timing" she smiled

" uff baby you are looking gorgeous in this sari" he said seeing her through the video call.

"I wish you were coming so I could also check you out" she said with seductive look

"Well you can ditch the event and come over and I can give you a thorough checking out" he said the very thought made her hot.

"Baad mein.. she said shyly  "actually mein woh"

"Ek second huh" she hid her phone.

"Um sorry your masimom is asking us to leave now" she nodded

"Yeah I'll be down in a few minutes..once he left she took her phone again.

"Mendak she.. hello, hello" her connection cut off "oh shit" she tried to call him but the connection must wouldn't pick up. "Seriously!" She said feeling like throwing the little device which right now was proving to feel like the worst piece of technology made by man.

"Kya hai!" She said in a irritated tone

"Nothing your masi is waiting"

" sorry John uncle I didn't mean to yell" she felt bad. "that's ok dear everything ok you seem disturbed" she shook her head "I am fine" with that she left. Naira reached after an hour or so she was smsing with her mendak the whole time.. as soon as they arrived Kavya came to her.

"Your looking so pretty, by the way Kartik has just arrived di"

"Oh.. " she said confused she saw him talking with a few friends and Salil.

"So you and Tara?" Said Kartik

"Yes..you and who?" Asked Salil

" Naira?" Said Tara

"Naira is here?" Said Salil she nodded "there look" she pointed

"Salil" she walked up to them walking with her masimaa.

"Congratulations beta" said masimaa and them left her to it.. "Naira?"

"Kartik?" She said

"The best thing I did was left India" he said

"To phir wapas kyu aye?" Said Naira they started arguing.

"Hey what's your problem" said Mukesh Naira's eyes widened this wasn't part of the plan.

"Its It's ok we are old friends" she said sending him along. They all abruptly ended the chat, Kartik saw the person he was dreading nope not Manish his mumma who just made an appearance.

"I welcome you all to my son Salil's engagement finally he has got it right one this time" she smiled

She then went on about Salil being the apple of her eyes.. when they exchanged the rings she saw Kartik was there. "Yeah kab aya he cares really he attended his brother's engagement. Everyone cheered seeing this union.

Kartik got up he couldn't take this fakeness Savitri saw him leaving she was about to go after him untill she spotted a thorn in her way yup Naira was busy holding Kiran and talking with her sisters. " yes stay away from my sons" she muttered. Kartik was outside wiping a tear.. Savitri saw him was about to approach him.

"Savitri Salil is calling you inside" she nodded and left. Kartik turned after he heard that.

 "Maa aye thi? no Kartik koun ma, kaise maa??" He said. "No I came here for Naira and we faked an argument because of Salil and Tara the way she looked at me I don't think she genuinely cares for Salil but what do I care, I don't care I do care for Naira and right now I am going to go announce our engagement yes!" He walked inside and saw that people were about to dance.

"Go this is your chance" said masimaa "ahem Naira would you dance with me" Naira nodded to be friendly just then Kartik came. 'Yeh mein kaha phas gaye' she kept her distance far. The lights deemed

"Darling dance with me?" He said taking her hand in his and cut Mukesh

"Yah sure" she said Kartik placed his hand on her waist and pulled her closer. She sighed feeling his hand caresse her bare waist.

"What the hell are you doing dancing with him?" He said his tone very possessive.

"Masimaa insisted" she said looping his neck

"Enough now we should announce our engagement" he said "I have to make sure no one is trying to steal you from me"

"Only you have that right" she slipped her hand under his shirt. He started coming closer he inhaled the side of her face he then held her hand. "come with me" he said

"Uff alone at last" he said coming to a quiet area. "Yesterday we didn't unite in the physical sense let's do that now"

"Here outside?" she asked "some here some later.." he said and started to kiss the crook of her neck he turned her around and placed wet kisses all over her back. He then turned het and their lips met in a hungry kiss. "
