"Kya hua mendak" she raced to the nursery room.

"Jaan yeh bahut rora hai haan bas bas mera bacha" he cradled him in his arms.

"Kya hua baby?" Naira caressed his foot

" he is ok na..?" He said as he saw her touch his little forehead.

"fever hai woh Tylenol hai jo doctor ne recommend kiya I'll get it" Naira took it from the drawer and poured it on a spoon.

"Fever..sorry mera baccha" he kissed his cheek

"Mendak it's normal don't worry so much ise uska fever bilkul theekh hojayega Kittu to had this and use bhi fever tha but the next morning chala gaya"

"ok jaan"

"Kairav muh kholo" she said

"Honey use godi mein bhithavo" Kartik nodded and sat on the sofa and made his baby sit but Kairav started crying.

"Come on baby" she said "itna mat ro phir mumma ko rona ayega"

"Jaan shayad yeh position comfortable nai hai" Kartik got up with him then placed one arm under his bottom and the other arm across his chest.

"he likes this dekho he isn't crying so much" Kartik gently rocked him and Naira successfully gave him the medicine in the syringe she then kissed his cheek. "Hogaya" she said

"I'll take him and give him his milk" Kartik placed him in her arms she then untied her nightdress near her chest and he latched on.

"Jaan shall I wash the syringe?"

"Yah do it in hot water actually the instructions are on the box at the back"

"Yup seen it" he commented she kissed Kairav's temple then sat down on the nursing chair.

"Bas aur nai peena?" She said seeing him falling asleep.

"You ok jaan" he said kneeling next to her. "Haan yeh sogaya he must be full"

"Yah" replied Kartik

"Here" she kissed his little face "isse sulado" Kartik carried him from her whilst she tied her night dress back.

"Goodnight bacha" said Kartik as he tucked him in his wearable baby blanket.

"Such a cutie daddy you are" she said then kissed his cheek.

"Aur tum" he placed his hands around her waist "cutest mumma in the world" he kissed her lips they looked at Kairav then at each other.

"Just for tonight?"

"Our room" she nodded as neither one of them wanted him to sleep alone tonight.

"Chalo baby" he picked him up from the crib and kissed his cheek they then went back to their room Kartik placed him in the bassinet which was near her side then he placed her nursing pillow within her reach near the bed "Will that be easy to reach? if not then wake me up jaan" she nodded.

"It will be fine don't worry" she smiled "ok" he replied he went and checked on Kairav.

"He's asleep" he whispered walking back to her.

"Jaan where is your pump you will need it na"

"Oh God yes I completely forgot I'm producing more milk so I'll express
it when i am feeding him" he held her shoulders

"Don't worry you get into bed I'll get it from the nusery"

"Thanks honey" Kartik went and got it from the nusery and placed it on the table.

"ok goodnight Jaan" he hugged her "goodnight honey" they hugged then got into bed she was on the left side of the bed today it was around 12am by the time they got to sleep a few minutes passed Kairav was making movements and gurgling sounds Naira got up to check on him the mother in her wouldn't let her sleep.

"Baby Shhh soja" she gently caressed his forehead and he went back to sleep and then she too got back in bed again.

A few hours later Kairav woke up Naira got out of bed it was around 4am.

"Shh mumma agaye" she picked him up and then grabbed the pillow then she sat down on the bed she placed the pillow on her lap then him on top of it.

"Oh pump bhool gayi" she turned to her mendak

"Kartik.."

" hmm.. everything ok what time is it? Kairav theekh hai? " He said sitting up.

"Yes don't worry can you pass me the pump I forgot it and now I have him in position if I get up then-

"Of course" he got up and took it off the table "here you go" she took it with a grateful expression.

"Mein washroom jake aata hu" he said she looked down at Kairav he was rubbing his face against her chest she caressed his forehead then undid her buttons and started to nurse him once he latched on she started expressing from the other boob. She heard the door click Kartik cane out and climbed back into bed.

"Jaan you ok?" He said then leaned down and kissed Kairav's temple.

She nodded "hmm"

"Tum sojavo" she said "look he doesn't want anymore bas hogaya"

"Tum thakh gaye hogi I'll burp him you sleep" he said seeing Kairav

"ok mendak I'll finish expressing" by then Kartik was up and went to her side and carried him from her..he started rubbing the baby's back whilst walking up and down the room, Naira was falling asleep whilst pumping..

"Good bacha" said Kartik he then placed him back down he started sleeping again.

"Naira"

"Hmm kya?"

"abhi gir jata he said holding the bottle pump.

"Oh no I would have wasted all that milk.."

"Its ok I'll go put it in the fridge"

"Nai you sleep it will be ok for 6 hours still" she said whilst closing her nightdress.

"ok I'll go put it in the morning right now I'll keep it on the table"

"Kairav sogaya?" She asked

"Yes jaan" he got into bed she got up to go washroom and Kartik fell asleep shortly she came out and checked on Kairav he was sleeping again then she went back in bed and snuggled up to her mendak he sleepily pulled her closer to his chest and she fell asleep some hours passed she came on to her side and heard Kairav breathing quickening she got up and saw to him he was stirring.. she kissed his cheek and then moved the bassinet next to her so she could check on him she eventually fell asleep.

7:30am

"Jaan Kairav is awake.."

"Hmm..she exclaimed she was feeling very sleepy

"Jaan..usko doodh do chaiye hoga.. he said she sat up.

"Bas,bas baby" she unbutton the wearable blanket and lifted him out Kartik was snoring away..

"Mela bacha" she rubbed her nose to the little one" and he stared at her with those starry baby eyes..

"Fever down hogaya mujhe pata tha par tumhare daddy bahut worry karte hai.. she said whilst cradling him in her arms she placed him on the bed.

"But daddy na woh tum aur tumhare bhai ko bahut pyar karte hai isliye"

She then laid next to him staying on her side whilst he was positioned straight she admired him and showered kisses on his face whilst holding his little hands and rubbing her finger in his soft palms.

"Kitna pyara hai mera baby" she kissed his little hands one after the other she smiled at him and he looked at her trying to follow her finger as she traced it around his chin, lip and cheeks then she tapped his nose softly which he smiled at. Naira rubbed his little belly then held him closer her hand supported his back as she started feeding him again he had a strong suckle which was good he was good with latching now then before.

"I love you mera bacha" she said kissing his head just then Kartik woke up.

"Good morning jaan" he said turning to her he kissed the back of her head then got out of bed.

"Good morning honey" she responded

"Is he ok?"

"Yes his fever has gone" she said whilst sitting up she placed him on her shoulder.

"I'll go wake Kittu up" he said she nodded as she burped Kairav.

"ok jaan" but before he went he came over "good morning bacha" he kissed his cheek " I'll go pop this in the fridge" he said taking the milk Naira smiled at how helpful Kartik is.

"Good boy" she said then got up and changed his diaper on the bed itself.

"Good boy Kittu your awake" Kartik carried him up "chalo brush karlo then daddy will dress you chalo baby" he said after readying Kittu he went and gave him his breakfast and Rose stayed with him whilst he went back upstairs he went back to his and Naira's room to have a shower he walked in and kept his voice low.

"Mumma and baby dono sore hai" he smiled he then went for a shower then had some breakfast it was around 9:am he then dropped Kittu to daycare.

10 am
Naira woke up and the 1st thing she did was check on Kairav without waking him she took her things Kartik came in the room and took over whilst she went to have a showe he sat down on the bed whilst Kairav slept. This was how there morning went 10am was her me time but she had to hurry at his feed is due at 10:30am motherhood is all about sacrifice but this one was worth it. Shortly Naira came out and saw Kartik cradling Kairav she changed and then had a quick smoothie as her breakfast which was filled with nutrients then she came back to their room.

"Abhi sora hai?" He nodded "I just changed his diaper but he slept through it.

"Maybe it's the vaccination but he needs to be fed mendak ek second" she held him and he woke up.

"Aree my hungry bacha" she kissed his cheek "accha bachu mumma ki godi chaiye thi I'll get the pillow. Kartik was so helpful even with the feedings "bas hogaya"

"I'll switch him over baby hold him" she said to her mendak whilst she adjusted her top and was ready to feed him from the other boob.

"Ready?" He said kissing Kairav's face whilst holding him face to face.

"Hmm..she replied and he turned Kairav so he could drink from her other one.

"Did Kittu reach ok?"

"Hmm he was fine" he replied holding her around the shoulders.

"Good..good and we are done he doesn't want anymore" she said

"Here you go daddy his clothes are on the table" she gave him to Kartik because this was their moment he changed Kairav and then played with him whilst she went and combed her hair and applied her moisturiser.

"Mera baby" he kissed his left cheek "mera bacha" he kissed his other cheek whilst holding him in front then got up with him from the bed "chalo hum ghumi ghumi kare?" He took him out of the room and went for a walk around the garden after a few minutes Naira set up his baby mat and they slowly placed him on his tummy.

"Is it fun bacha?" She said caressing his cheek

"Kairav you got swag man look at that tight grip" he said

"Bahut jald he will roll over" said Naira "smile mendak" she clicked there photo after 8-10 minutes of tummy time she laid him on his back and he played and grabbed the hanging toys.

"Yes mumma she is eating the ladoos they are almost finished" he said Naira came after changing Kairav.

"Who is it" she asked

"Yes she is here I'll give it to her..its mumma"

"Hi mumma kesi ho?"

"We are good tum batao haven't seen you all for sometime beta how is Kairav and Kittu?"

"Kittu is at daycare and Kairav is in my arms" she smiled as Kartik was squeezing his little face and his little face lit up when he did that.

"Yeah 2 injections but he is fine we are making sure he doesn't feel any discomfort" she nodded as Kartik wanted to carry Kairav.

"Yes Piya ko bhi mein miss kar rahi hoon"

"and beta you and Kartik are you both getting time to spend with each other that's important too"

"Sort of I mean we try"

"Listen if you ever want to drop the kids off and go on a ..what do you kids call it"

"date night" whispered Vidya

"yeah date night then I am me and your masi are free to babysit"

"Thank you mumma for offering I will let you know soon right now we are getting Kairav into a routine and he just had his jabs he is a bit cranky once it all settles then I will surely take you up on your offer"

"ok beta and your health all fine na?"

"Yes mumma and you,Varun and masi come around it has been ages"

"Yes we will plan something beta" Naira smiled and spoke some more then ended
the call.

"Jaan let's have lunch Rose has prepared a roast" she nodded

"Yes honey Kairav sogaya?" She asked seeing his arms empty.

"Nai he is here I placed him in the bouncer"

"Aww mela bacha he likes it" she smiled giving it a little rock

"Yah now we can watch him and eat our lunch too come jaan" he called her to the table.

"Mmm this is so good" she commented

"Enjoy ma'am" said Rose "I'll take your leave dinner is in the oven too"

"Thank you Rose" said Kartik

"Bye Kairav" she caressed his little hand and then left.

"I was thinking mendak..

"Hmm?" He asked whilst eating

"We should go out somewhere just us.."

"Just us but then the kids?"

"Yeah we will arrange something but we haven't gone out since his birth like just to dinner a walk in the park you know a day out"

"Yah but jaan..

"Fine forget I said anything" she reverted

"Oh I got a call they have sent Kairav's photoshoot photos out for delivery we should get them today" he said

"That's great I'm excited to see how they came out" she said in an upbeat tone just then the bell rang.

"I'll get it I have finished" he said getting up he went to attend the door. Kairav cooed

"kya hai you having fun sitting in the bouncer?" He waved his little arms up and down and Naira got lost in his cuteness.

"Jaan its here"

"Yay chalo dekhte hai" she said getting up in excitement. "chalo baby" she carried him up.
