Kartik wiped his tears quickly as he gently closed the door.

"Kartik?"itne door kyu ho?" Avo na humara paas apne bete ke paas" he sat down near her on the edge of the bed Kairav was having his feed it was such a natural sight he has never seen Naira breast feeding before he missed it all during Kittu's time so this moment was touching his heart, she held his free hand then looked up.

"Tum senti hogaye I guess your seeing this for the 1st time na"

"Haan jaan mein nahi tha na when you..

"Matlab?accha suno I am doing it right na mujhe nai ataa pehli baar itne chote bachhe ko" Kartik nodded he cushioned her head caressing her nape and kissed her temple she smiled, he then bent down to kiss his baby's forehead. "Of course jaan" he touched her cheek.

"He is happily drinking" he hugged her gently "humara Kairav" he said "pata hai jaan" he leaned his chin on her left shoulder "mmm you have given me a reason to live again i love you so much tum meri life ho" he inhaled deeply just loving her in his embrace "tum bhi kuch bolo na mein kab se" he lifted her off his shoulder  Naira?" Naira?" Jaan aankhe kholo" he tapped her cheek he then realised he didn't hear any crying. "Kairav, baby!" He was in utter shock and pushed the button for emergency whilst holding Naira in one arm and Kairav steady on her lap "jaan" he closed her nightdress up. "Kya karo and why  are they taking so long!" He carried up the baby" and rested Naira on her back making her comfortable.

"We will check her" 2 people went to Naira  "I'll check him" someone took the baby from him.

"He is fine na I mean" the nurse checked him. "Doctor he isn't breathing" said the nurse

"Her BP has dropped" said the doctor

"What?" What's this happening" he panicked seeing the state of them.

" Mr Goenka please take a seat outside we need to get your wife to theatre stat"

"I am taking him to the intensive care unit" she said taking the baby, Kartik couldn't believe what was happening.

"Jaan you'll be fine" he held her hand as they were wheeling her out.

"Kartik what's happened?"

"I don't know one minute we were talking then..

"Then what!"

" Anjali he is in shock give him some space"

"Bolo beta I'll get you some water tum betho" Vidya sat him down on the chair, she could see that he was clearly upset.

"Haan bolo beta, Anjali can you go get me a water too" she sent her off

"actually masi can I just collect my thought mein thodi der akela rehna chahta hu" she nodded

"Theekh hai beta we will be here only if you change your mind..any word on Kittu?" He shook his head, Vidya squeezed his hand in support then left.

'Where is the doctor we should here something by now, please God nothing should happen to my family please" seeing the doctor he got up.

"Doctor how is she my wife?" He asked "and my baby?"

"Mr Goenka" he sighed "what is it seriously your scaring me"

"Your wife had a.. he tuned out not being able to process it all

"So they are both are being kept overnight the next hours will be critical" said the doctor Kartik was lost for words the doctor told him to stay over night he sat down and cried hearing that his wife and son might not survive that was enough to kill him from the inside, he told her mumma and masi what the dr said and they were devastated equally Vidya masi tried to mask her worry to support Kartik and Anjali.

"Sab kuch theekh hoga you'll see" she said to Kartik then arranged a stay over for him at the hospital, she insisted Anjali to go home to Varun and she will stay by in a hotel nearby. Kartik couldn't sleep he kept looking at her photos and Kittu's on his phone and the pregnancy and babymoon ones.

"Mendak tu bhi avo na" she giggled playing with the whale he touched her face on the screen. He laughed then wiped his tears what if he never hears that laugh or sees that smile again, he put his phone away he couldn't sleep at all with all the worry. The next morning came fast, he up and rushed over to  the ward.

"dr how are they?"

"under observation..

"But they will be fine na?" He asked with desperation in his tone.

"Look I don't want to give you any false hope but nothing can be said we are trying our best the rest is God's wish" he then went off.

'no word on Kittu, Naira and Kairav all their lives are in danger what if I lose them? all three of them?' He was having the worst thoughts possible. "Please God save them we had such a beautiful wedding, pregnancy, mera Kittu,Naira and Kairav shouldn't pay for my bad karma" Just then his phone beeped with a message of recent news he immediately rang the number.

"What farm?"

"The one on anglewood listen come down to the station we are widening our search you will be given all the information once you get here ok see you soon" 

" hello, hello chief" but he hung up  "leaving Naira and Kairav how can I go?" He saw Anjali and Vidya just come through he explained about everything but not Kittu, he went quickly to the police station they explained everything and the chances of not finding him alive were a horrifying possibility with a strong mind he proceeded.

"I'll come too"

"No Mr Goenka let the professionals handle this"

"I need to see him he will be scared seeing strangers"

"We don't know if its him yet" but he insisted to go with them the main chief discussed his case with the seniors.

"ok you can come um we just got some new information" Kartik nodded

"Does the name Charles Renshaw ring a bell?" Kartik shook his head "no, is he the one that who took my son but why?"

"Renshaw was sent down by your wife for murder 3 years ago in a recently prison fire he um seemed to have escaped I don't want to alarm you but he is a dangerous man we need to move fast!" Kartik and the squad car arrived at the farm 2 cops got out with guns and searched the place.

"Sir we saw through the window a little kid is there  at the back room in the house "

"And Renshaw?" He nodded "yes right there" he turned to Kartik

"He is alive that's a relief ok now we will have to make a distraction we need to get the kid out quickly so this is the plan" the main officer told them what to do..

"Hi the farm your on there is a problem of flooding..

Kartik walked fast but carefully he reached near the back room and peered in. "Kittu he is fine mera baccha" he pushed up the already open window all the way up and climbed in Kittu's back was turned  he was holding the cup and was about to drink it. "Kittu" he said holding his little waist.

"Daddy" he said turning "shhhh baby shh" he carried him up he wanted to hug him but he needed to leave quickly. He climbed out of the window holding him he walked fast because they were far from the car. "Sir I have him with me you can now bust that son of a bitch" he said in to his walkie talkie. "Daddy?"

"Just a minute bacha" once they were in safe distance he stopped. "Mera bacha meri jaan" he hugged him and sobbed then kissed his whole face. "Theekh haina mera bacha?" He touched his forehead to Kittu's holding the back of his neck. "Daddy ki kissie?" He kissed his daddy's cheek

"I am thirsty" he nodded "Haan baccha" he took his little hand and kissed it. "chalo i'll give you"

"Daddy mumma?" Kartik didn't know what answer to give him.

"pata hai hum police car mein jayenge" he said

"Yay" he giggled oh how much has he missed his little giggle, the door of the car was open with a police officer waiting for them. Kartik sat him down.

"Kittu, Kairav,Kittu..Kartik" said Naira breaking her bracelet in her sleep, the car door slammed and Kartik's bracelet got stuck in the door breaking the thread and a bead fell off.

"Daddy your bangle broke?" He asked eating his sandwich

"Sab kuch theekh hoga it's a sign" he said kissing Kittu's cheek, then it dawned on him. "Baccha did you eat anything since yesterday" he shook his head and his heart broke the thought of his child not eaten anything and was away over night was a disturbing thought.

"are we all ready to go?" Said the officer about to take off. "Have they arrested that bastard who kidnapped my son?"

"You can keep looking around..I don't got anything to hide" the cop picked up the glass " what's this?" He said smelling it.

"Wait where did he go!" The officer pushed him against the wall "Cliff Renshaw I am arresting you on kidnapping an infant your going away for a long time added to your already murder charges"

"Thank you officer" said Kartik hearing his call.

"He has been arrested and will be  transferred to another prison" he said "I'll drop you and the little guy home" Kartik cradled Kittu in his lap. "Thanks once again" he said they started moving out of the farm, they reached home quickly. "We will be in touch about the charges and keep you informed" Kartik carried Kittu inside.

"Ek second baccha hello"

"Beta Naira is fine she is out of danger"

" that's great mumma I'll come there in 15 minutes"

"Theekh hai beta" he hung up the call, Kartik squeezed Kittu "mumma theekh hai" he hugged him, he needed to ask Kittu what happened but right now a distraction is maybe what he needs.

"Kittu hum washy washy  karede" he was still in his clothes since daycare" he nodded whilst playing to Kartik's ear, he took him upstairs and gave him a quick bath then got changed himself. Naira was coming around "Kittu, Kittu?" She said opening her eyes.

"Kittu?" She sat up."Kittu?"

"Nani" Anjali and Vidya turned "Kittu" she said taking him from Kartik who happily let her hold him "theekh haina baccha" Vidya rubbed his back.

"Mr Goenka your wife is panicking and saying Kittu?" Kartik quickly took him from Anjali.

"Jao beta jaldi" Kartik went towards her room, Naira was sitting up gathering her thoughts when..

"Mumma" he said Naira looked up removing  her palms from her face seeing Kittu in Kartik's arms "mera baby" she cried.Kartik walked with a smile Naira held her arms out, he dived down to hug her he gently placed him next to her "Mera bacha" she kissed his cheeks and sweeped his hair lovingly to the side. "Yeh theekh haina?" Kartik nodded "haan jaan" she hugged him more then her eyes fell on the side seeing the empty crib she remembered!

"Kartik Kairav?" she panicked.

"Woh theekh hai" he said without even knowing I'll just come" he left the room.

"Thank you bhagawanji mera Kittu ki raksha ki aapne"

"Dr how is our son?"

"he is better the nurse is with him we want to keep them both over night just to make sure"

"ok because Naira wants to see" just then the nurse came with him."here you are" Kartik lips broke into a smile.

"Thank you for everything sister" he kissed Kairav's temple."Chalo baby mumma is waiting" Naira had Kittu next to her she was holding him protectively close to her kissing the top of his head.

"May we join in?" He said holding Kairav in his godi

"Kairav?" He smiled at her happiness he went to the other side as Kittu was already hugging one side of his mumma, he gently place him in her right arm as her other arm was around Kittu.

"Kairav?" She said kissing his cheek, she turned to Kittu "Kittu look tumara chota bhai"

"Baby?" He said in excitement Kartik went to his side and carried him up because Kittu started standing up and Naira was still weak and recovering, he held his waist. "Cute haina tumhara bhai?"

"Yes daddy" he said going to touch his face.

"Oh aram se bacha" said Kartik

"Dheeri se aww that's nice" said Naira as he gently caressed his cheek.

"My babies all in front of my eyes" she smiled and kissed the air to Kartik.

"Love you jaan" he said "I feel so tired" she yawned

"I'll take him with me tum rest lo" he said carrying Kittu.

"Nai it's ok I want Kittu in front of my eyes 24/7 and Kairav bhi" " use yaha leta do" Kartik placed him down next to her she kissed his temple several times.

"Jaan atleast Kairav ko crib mein sula do" she nodded he took Kairav and placed him down she turned and hugged Kittu to her heart's content falling asleep.

"Mr Goenka your son needs to be kept under observation we will take him back to the baby ward now" she carried him up and took him 20 minutes passed. Naira's sleep broke she saw Kartik  in the chair.

"Kartik?" He woke up "Jaan Kairav ko nurse le gaye"

"Kyu woh theekh haina?"

"Haan they just want to keep him over night its routine" he lied he couldn't tell her he choked on the milk and it effected his breathing a bit she was anxious as it was he didn't want to add more worries to her mind.
