"Do I remember our beach dates Yes..of course I do baby" she said to him

"Remember how young and crazy we were" he said pulling her closer.

"I use to get butterflies before every date" she revealed and encircled his neck.

"Those days were beautiful jaan, although I was going through a rough time" she lovingly caressed his cheek because she knew how awful his family life was.

 "But jaan our dates and the thought of spending time with you kept me going, falling in love with you was magical" he said

"falling in love with you was the best moment in my life" she said and they hugged

"Same jaan" he then cupped her face

"You, Kittu and this little one are my whole world" he said and she smiled

"When we met again did you think 3 years later you would be married with a kid?" She asked him and he chuckled

"Being as young as we are probably not but I am so happy with how things worked out, I love being your husband and a father to Kittu  and i can't wait to be a father again" he said she cupped his face and kissed his temple and then said something

"But you know it could've gone the other way?" She said folding her arms

"Other way?" He asked

"Haan Anant...

"Aree I am warning you jaan don't mention another guy's name in my presence" he said

" accha sorry" she held her ears as apologising, but he walked away and sat on their bed, Naira smirked

"Baby tell papa that mumma was just joking" she came and pressed her cheek to his and knotted her hands around his neck.

"But jaan..imagine that I didn't come back In your life then.." she turned his face and captured his lips in a kiss.

"Tumhe to ana hi tha" she said he cushion her head kissing her back  "because we belong together" she said he turned to her and lovingly kissed her lips again.

"Tomorrow we will see our baby" he said caressing her tummy through her nightdress, she covered her hand with his.

"I know and it's exciting you know to share this experience with you" she smiled, he kissed her temple, then gently came behind her.

"Jaan" he gently tilted her frame now she was resting her back on his chest, sitting between his legs.

"I'm excited for tomorrow" he said then kissed her cheek repeatedly, she giggled

"ok mendak mujhe washroom jana hai" she said kneeling up. Kartik helped her get down.. shortly she came back, he was in bed she came and snuggled into him.

"Let's go to sleep I need to drink lots of water in the morning na for my scan also I have to drop Kittu to daycare" she said

"I will drop him, you take rest tomorrow morning, no unnecessary stress jaan" he kissed her lips lightly.

"ok..thank you honey" she said falling asleep.

"ok baccha chalo" Kartik carried him out of his car seat and then closed the door, he started walking with him, his little arms were wrapped around his daddy's neck.  They walked up to playground where teachers were welcoming the  kids in.

"There is your teacher" Kartik looked at his son, then placed him down then came to his level.he kissed his cheek.

"Have a good day meri jaan" he hugged him.

"Bye daddy" he said then kissed his cheek." Wait, let papa straighten your cap, off you go my  choti Naira" his smile was just likes hers how beautiful to see your wife's smile in your child.

"Hi Kittu and Kartik " said his teacher coming up to them.

"Hi Claire" said Kittu, the teacher took his little hand, and he waved bye to his daddy. Meanwhile Naira was at home drinking her bottle of water but also talking to a client.

"Yes I'll be there tomorrow ok, thanks bye" she said hanging up a call from work. She started drinking her water again.

"Oh good your drinking your water bottle" he said coming Into the kitchen

"Your back did Kittu get to daycare ok?" She asked him

"Yeah he was fine jaan, how are you feeling?" He said walking up to her. "Hmm?" He kissed the top of her head.

"Like I'm going to burst I have drank so much water honey" she said

"Aww my jaan, let's go it's time na?" He said holding her hand.

"Yep chalo" she hopped off the stool" she grabbed her handbag and they left for the appointment, Kartik drove then, once they reached he raced over to open her door, holding hands they went into the hospital towards the maternity ward.

"Hi I'm Naira Goenka I have an appointment for my scan" she said to the girl at reception.

"Yes take a seat Dr Charlotte will see you shortly" said the girl. Naira smiled and thanked her, she then took a seat next to Kartik.

"Aww that baby is so cute" he said seeing a Chinese couple seating across them

"Haan,bahut pyara hai" agreed Naira, a few minutes later she was called..

"Hi dr Charlotte this is my husband Kartik" said Naira as they came into the room.

"Nice to meet you Kartik" she shook his hand. "Naira 1st I'll do your scan then we will get a clear idea on how far your gone?" She said

"ok dr" she said, "lovely, pop yourself on here, Kartik  you can seat next to her I'll be right back" Naira laid down on the bed. Shortly the dr came back.

"ok sweetie lift up your dress, and I'll apply this gel, it will feel a bit cold oh, what am I saying you have done this before with Kittu" she said

"Yah but it was a while ago" said Naira, the doctor smiled at her " ok here we go" said the dr as she put on the screen, she started to press the prob stick on her tummy. "Kartik" she said keeping her hand out, he stood up and held her hand.

"Is everything ok?" Naira asked as the dr didn't say anything..

" just a second.. oh, there we are" she said turning the monitor to them

"Guys say hello to your baby"

"Kartik" said Naira in an emotional tone

"Our baby jaan" he said squeezing her hand equally emotional

"Do you know where your baby is?" Naira  nodded 'that dot that is a size of a pea"

"yes your correct" said the dr

"Jaan that dot is our baby?" He said she turned and looked at him.

"yes honey" she said

"Wow, our baby is growing inside you" he said looking at her face and then back at the monitor.

"Do you want to know how many weeks your gone and also your due date? They turned to her  eagerly wanting to know.

"ok so Naira your over 6 weeks" she said they looked at each other.

"I am over a bit more than one month and I didn't even know" she said

"Don't worry, you wouldn't believe how common this is, many women don't know they are expecting  it can be due to stress or just not getting any symptoms..

"Dr when is she due" asked Kartik

"Yeah dr can you tell from this scan?" Asked Naira

"Yes so your due date is February around the 14th" said the dr, Naira looked at Kartik

"Valentine's day baby?" She said looking at him with love.

"the baby growth is normal according to how far you are, I'm happy with the result" she said closing the screen. They both were smiling he kissed her forehead.

"now would you like a copy of your scan?" She said as she wiped off the gel. They nodded In unison

"ok great I'll have that ready for you, and you can pick it up at reception, Naira I'll let you get ready once you are come take a seat so we can discuss your diet and medication plan hmm?" Said the dr.

" yes thanks dr" she said,once she left Naira turned to him. "What a due date huh" She said. He caressed her cheek. "Our 1st scan wow jaan" he said and kissed her lips.

"Honey That means we have been intimate whilst I was pregnant na?" She said to him.

"Hmm that's true, but you heard the dr our baby is growing well" he said with a smile.

"Yes thank god" she said, then he helped her put on her sandles and then sat down with the dr. The dr asked Naira her diet and what she should eat and what she should avoid.

"Dr what about iron I read that  women during pregnancy have to eat iron rich foods" he said holding her waist

" don't worry I'm prescribing folic acid and also to keep a healthy diet"

"I'll be there preparing her a fruit bowl everyday" he said Naira smiled at him..

"Dr um during her pregnancy I mean before we didn't know she was.. we were, have been sexually active" he said to her.

"Yeah dr is it harmful for the unborn child?" Naira asked her

"no it isn't at all it's perfectly healthy, I have had many couples ask this question and you can be intimate when expecting in fact it's a good thing to keep that intimacy with your partner" said the dr.

"ok so we can dr" said Naira

"Yes, your hormones will be crazy over the next few months just listen to your body and do what feels comfortable but yes sex during pregnancy is completely safe in a normal pregnancy which is what yours is" said the dr, they thanked her and left, Naira waited for the scan photos while he picked up her medication at the hospital chemist.

"You. got them?" She asked him.

"Yes jaan here you go" he handed her the bag. "Great let's go" she said..as they were walking out he asked her a question.

"When you got your 1st scan during Kittu's time how was it I mean..

"It was lonely,  disheartening because mumma wanted me to terminate it and I just couldn't do that to our baby" she said getting emotional.

"Sorry I didn't mean to upset you" he said embracing her. "It's ok I mean I'm ok now but it was hard I just wanted you" he hugged her more.

"hey today was nice" he said releasing her and looking into her eyes

"Today was the best, I really felt good having you there with me honey,sharing the experience and excitement" she said

"I'm so so so glad" he said kissing her temple. They then walked to the car and went home.

"Jaan be careful and take it easy today please" he said as she was putting her flats on.

"Don't worry honey, I'll be fine any word on Ian?" She asked, he shook his head.

"There will be good news soon I just know it,so I'll see you in a few hours" she said as she was heading for work.

"Remember to eat your fruit bowl" he said tapping the box in her bag. "I will thank you honey for making it.. he was quiet..

"Something wrong?" She asked and then cupped his face.

"no I was just thinking you studied law school all while you were carrying Kittu in your tummy" he said

"I know your worried but I'll be fine juggling my work, today I'm going in but tomorrow I'm working from home again" she told him as she tighten her ponytail

"ok have a good day baby" he said and put his lips on hers.

"You too honey I'll see you in a bit" she said to him, as soon as she reached work  she got busy with the high priority case.. finally she came home, this case that she has taken on is quite intense, she came into the living room Kartik had big smile on his face.

"Jaan, they found Ian he's alive" he said beaming with happiness.

"that's such great news!!" She said and hugged him tightly

"see I told you everything will be fine" he released her..

"You did! Thank you" he cupped her face. "Listen I made something come" he made her sit on the sofa.

"Actually mein change karke ati hu it's hot in this shirt" she was wearing a white shirt and black flarry trousers.

"ok jaan you change.." he said, Naira saw her hottie husband.

"You know if you want you can come give me a helping hand" she said

"are you sure I mean.." she held his hand and got him on his feet.

"The dr said it's fine na..and I've had an intense day" he held her waist slowly 

"I just want to remove the tension" she said looping his neck.

"well let me help you" he came close and kissed her lips. "Let's get you changed" he said holding her hand. "In our room" she said, they quickly took the stairs and came into the room. Kartik started to unbutton her shirt, whilst doing so he started giving her sweet kisses on neck and shoulder. She closed her eyes and cushioned his head just feeling her stress melt away by him. He pulled her shirt off and she slipped his t-shirt over his head. She ran her hand along his chest. He cupped her neck and kissed her slowly, she gripped his waist as they were kissing. His one hand slipped behind her back, playing with her bra clapse..

"Kartik i-" Naira ran into the washroom. Kartik panicked and followed her she was vomiting over the toilet. Kartik came in and to her level he rubbed her back, he blew soft air on her temple.

"Is it done?" He asked her

"hmm" she replied. "come here jaan do a salt rinse with water" he helped clean her up and then brough her back in the room, she quickly got changed.

'Sorry Kartik I know I just teased you but  i..'

Her thoughts got interrupted when Kartik came back in the room and placed something in her hand.

"I brought it today" he said, Naira looked at him and smiled.
