"You ok where did you go?" he said briefly rubbing her cheek.

"I had something to..oh he fell asleep here only?" She said seeing Kittu on the sofa.

"Yeah,,I'll take him and place him down to sleep" he said then carried him up. Naira waited for him to come back downstairs, it had been several hours.. she went upstairs and saw him asleep with Kittu.

"Kartik" she whispered, Kittu stirred hearing her..

"Mumma" he yawned coming to her.

"Kittu, dinner is ready aap mumma ke saath chalo" she said and he climbed off the bed. Kartik stirred alittle.

"Kartik dinner is ready.." she Informed him

"Hmm later I'm not hungry jaan" he said falling asleep again, Naira thought he must be tired from all that happened..

"ok my love you sleep" she said caressing his forehead.

"Chalo bachha" she held Kittu's hand and went downstairs to eat dinner, Naira was now eating for two so she ate properly.

"Why Isn't daddy eating with us" said Kittu.

"Baby daddy tired hai, hs will eat later, do you like your bread pakoda mumma ne specially apke liye banaye hai" she said talking to their son, Kittu nodded whilst chewing the food.

"I love this bread kapoda" he said cutely, Naira laughed at his pronounciation of the word. Shortly they both finished she let him watch his cartoons for a bit and went upstairs to check on Kartik.

"how long! so no news then" he hung up the call, he kept looking at the messages on his phone. Naira came in and saw him sitting on Kittu's bed.

"Your up, your dinner is getting cold" she said to him.

"Jaan I've lost my appetite to eat I'm worried sick about Ian" he said getting up.

"Kartik please eat something, you can't sleep on an empty stomach, he nodded

"Hmm I'll have some milk later..but right now I just want to sleep.. he left the room and went into their room. Naira thought to give him his own space.. so she let him just be.. she got Kittu ready for bed, and then came back to their room, he was snoring away. Naira got changed into her night dress.. she then got into bed.

'My mendak looks exhausted I feel bad for Lucy I really do, but I'm so thankful my mendak is here with me and safe'

she thought and then gave him alittle peck on his lips, she then switched the light off  She laid on her back, shortly she felt his hand on her hip pulling her closer.

"Ahmm" he sighed as he then rested his hand on her belly, Naira smiled.

'I can't believe I'm pregnant with your baby again Kartik, and your already feeling him or her at this very moment,  I'm so excited to tell you this news that we are pregnant'

with these thoughts she fell asleep.

The next two days Kartik hadn't heard anything positive about Ian, he was getting quiet and not talking much, which was starting to bother Naira.

"I have an idea" she said walking into the drawing room. Kittu was being cuddled by his daddy in his arms.

"Kittu chalo we are going out to the park" she said. Kartik placed him down

"Go with mumma have fun baccha" he said

"Don't you want to come?  She asked him..

"No jaan Stevenson might call.." he said, these days he was glued to his phone..

"Hmm ok, we will see you later then" she said and then left with Kittu.

Naira took Kittu shopping, she especially wanted to buy him something, she came back home after she got what she needed.

"We are back" she called coming back in the house, she saw Kartik watching TV mindlessly. She quickly took Kittu upstairs. Kartik yawned again he was feeling tired and still worried, Kittu crept slowly in the room. Naira stood outside and gestured him what to do.

"Daddy" he said standing in front of Kartik, with a cute wide smile.

"Hello my baby" he went to carry him up, but Kittu stopped him

"Daddy I have a secret" he said pointing at his t-shirt.

"I have a big secret?" Kartik read the caption..

"What secret beta?" He asked and then Kittu played dumb by not saying anything. Kartik turned him.

"That I'm going to be a b...?" Kartik trailed off reading.

"Baccha" he turned him back to him.

"Is it a new t-shirt?" Kartik asked

"I got it with mumma today" he said happily, Kartik read it again.

"I have a big secret I'm going to be a big brother" he carried Kittu up in a hug.

"Jaan?" He called Naira came and revealed herself.

"Your pregnant?" He asked and placed Kittu down she nodded softly

"Yes, that was Kittu's way to let you.." she couldn't complete her answer because he took her in a bone crushing hug.

"Jaan I can't believe it" he then realised her..

"Our baby" he touched her belly

"Tum khush hona I know we were going to wait but I- ahh.." she was in his arms being carried up.

"Mein bahut, bahut khush hoon" he said whilst spinning her, she hugged him with a smile.

'This is the Kartik that I know and love happy and laughing' she thought whilst hugging im, he placed her down on her feet gently.

"Sorry I should be more careful with you " he said

"Don't be silly I'm fine" she said

"This has really made my day better, I love you so much" he said and put his lips on hers, Naira went to encircle his neck..

"Daddy, mumma" they heard their kid's voice and quickly broke the kiss

" yes mela baby" he carried him up.

"does he know?" he said as he slipped his hand around her waist

"not really I don't know how to say it, he is just three years what shall we say" he kissed her cheek

"don't worry we will when it's near the time" he kissed Kittu's cheek

"ok" she said hugging his side, they both looked at Kittu and kissed his cheek

"I missed out on all his baby moments, but I promise I will not for this little one" he said caressing her belly.

"I'm sorry I know I've been distracted lately, when did you find out?" Kittu wanted to get down, Kartik placed him down.

"How many weeks are you gone aur scan karvaya? we should book an appointment as soon as possible jaan"

"Actually I wanted to talk to you about that..but first let me tell you baby  when I found out.it was the day I found out you were maybe missing, I was vomiting and then I checked my dates, I took a home pregnancy test, then Lucy called and I got so worried I forgot to check the result"

"Jaan you were stressed surely that can't be good when your expecting I'm so sorry for worrying you, from now on you are my priority, you and our pyari choti si family" he said then kissed her forehead, Naira took him in a hug

"I love you mendak" she said in a emotional tone

"I love you more" he said which made her smile, his phone started ringing,

"ek second jaan" he said as he attended his phone.

"It's work" he said, and she released him to let him answer.

"Yes Stevenson...today sir, I can.." he said walking away because Kittu came talking and he couldn't hear the call.. "I can leave tonight or early morning?" he said walking to the kitchen

'Kartik is taking another assignment and he is leaving tonight!' Thought Naira

"ok sir thank you bye" Kartik hung up the call, he walked into the room again.

"Jaan shall we order in tonight or maybe eat out to a fancy restaurant we haven't done that and..

"Are you going to leave again for work tonight? I know it's work and I get it's your passion but Kartik I..I'm scared" he walked over and cupped her face

"I know that's why I refused the assignment, I told you, you guys are my priority and jaan I'm not going to fail as a husband I'm going look after you through this whole pregnancy" he said

"I'm so glad to hear that baby" she said holding his wrists

"Good now shall we eat out tonight?" He asked her

"Or order it, it's up to you jaan" he said

"Out?" She said

"Great!! I'll make a booking also we will see if they have a baby seat for him I'll just call them" Naira smiled

'I'm so glad Kartik refused the assignment that means he can come with me tomorrow when we see our first scan'

"Done and my jaan the table booking is for 7pm, let's start getting ready" she nodded to him as it was already 4:30pm and the restaurant was a bit far from where they live. Kittu was watching cartoons.

"Baby we are going out chalo mumma will ready you" she said carrying him up from the sofa.

"Jaan you shouldn't be carrying heavy weight,Kittu come to daddy" he took him from Naira.

"It's ok he isn't that heavy" said Naira

"ok but I'll carry him on the stairs" he said

"deal" she said to her hubby. "chalo" she said kissing Kittu's cheek.

"Naira I'll just get his clothes" he said placing Kittu on their bed.

"get his denim dungarees and that white t-shirt" she said..Kittu started jumping on their bed.

"Beta you'll fall down come in sit down" she said holding him. Kartik came back,

"Kittu come here daddy will ready you" he got off the bed and ran to Kartik, meanwhile Naira didn't know which dress to wear..

"Hmm kaunsa pehnu" she felt her back being hugged and it made her feel relaxed..she leaned back.

"Yeah wala mujhe bahut pasand hai, it reminds me of our dating days" he said, she turned to his cheek "ok" she said then kissed his cheek lovingly. Kartik chuckled.

"Kya" she said rubbing his arm that was around her.

"Look at him" he said pointing to Kittu who was wearing his dungarees the other way.

"Ahaha" Naira laughed

"stop being mean go help my baby" she said feeling bad seeing him struggling.

"Your baby?" he said and she nodded

"Haan he is such a mumma's boy" she teased

"Aree madam tumne akele nahi banaya ise" he humoured her, making her cheeks red

"In dono ko banane mein" he  said looking to Kittu and then caressed her tummy

"Maine help ki hai" he said in a hoarsely tone, she turned her face to his and they kissed

"ok mere baccho ke papa go help our son" she said, he nodded "of course"

"Kittu, bachha ese nai, dekho daddy will show you" he lifted  him out and then turned his clothes the right way, and then clipped the buttons.

'Kartik your so good with him, I can't wait to see the sight of you with our next baby' she wiped a happy tear away. Shortly they were dressed Kartik wore denim jeans a black t-shirt, they  left for dinner soon  they arrived it wasn't too packed.

"Hi I'm Mr Kartik Goenka I made a reservation for today" he said talking to the waiter, Naira stood behind him holding Kittu's hand, the man nodded and led them to their table, they were seated.

"Sorry for the wait" said a waitress who placed Kittu's seat next to them.

"Chalo baccha" he lifted Kittu and strapped him in.

"Kya khana hai aapko" asked Naira in a babyish tone.

"Pasgetti" he said

"he means spaghetti" said Kartik to the waitress

She took all their orders and they enjoyed a lovely dinner mostly entertaining Kittu.

"That was fun I enjoyed that" said Naira as they were driving back home, Kittu fell asleep

"Me too a very family wali feeling" he said looking at her when a traffic light stop came,they exchanged a sweet smile. Naira was falling a sleep, Kartik saw her and then looked at his mirror he saw an angelic Kittu.

'I'm so lucky to have them..also Ian ka kuch acche news mil jaye he is like the brother I've always wanted please God woh thekh ho'  his mind reflected, Kartik parked up and Naira woke up.

"Sorry I fell asleep" she yawned

"in your condition it's allowed babe no say sorry, listen I'll get Kittu out" he said and she nodded opening the door. They came in their house and shut the door.

"Jaan I'll place him to sleep you get changed" he said as they reached the top of the stairs. Naira got changed into her night clothes, Kartik came shortly..

"By the way tomorrow" she looped his neck. 

"we have an appointment tomorrow it will be the first scan" she said

"Seriously tomorrow we will see our baby for the first time?" He said excitedly

"Actually she wanted me to do it when I first went but I refused I told her that my husband has to be there because it's the first scan" she said then cupped his neck.

" jaan I don't like that you delayed it, it can be risky na?" She shook her head

"it was just 2 days aren't you glad that you will share this moment with me tomorrow" she pouted

"Of course I am truth be told a part of me is thrilled you waited by the way how many weeks are you?" He asked

"A few weeks but we will find out exactly how many tomorrow" she said to him

"ok jaan ek second hmm" he came down on his knees and put his ear to her belly

"Aap sun ra hai ho your parents will meet you tomorrow baby" he said and then kissed her belly through her nightdress. Naira smiled and caressed his hair.

"You looked beautiful tonight remember our beach dates?" he said then stood up waiting for her response.
