Kaira exchanged a look. "Baby.." she said "come to mumma" she placed him on to her lap. "Suno Kittu when you were a tiny baby i was.. she stopped talking because truthly she didn't expect such a question from him.

She was not quite prepared what to tell him. Kittu tapped her cheek "Yes mumma?" He asked. Naira looked to Kartik, 

"Kittu i.. Kartik started.

"Baby let's"  she said, getting up carrying him  on her hip. "Have some chocolate milk chalo" Kartik was also baffled about his question and how to answer it. 

"Dadda.." said Kairav then touched his daddy's jaw. "Yes bacha?" He turned to him and kissed his temple. He loved hearing dada but a part of him felt sad for Kittu.   

"Yum," said Kittu after finishing the milk. Naira smiled, so far Kittu's mind had been diverted by the milk.

"Good boy" she kissed his cheek then picked him up from the breakfast bar and placed him down. "Let's go get those teeth brushed," Kittu nodded.

"Hey buddy" said Kartik walking into the kitchen with Kairav in his arms. "Daddy i'm going to clean my teeth" he said then held Kartik's hand.. "Honey, is he asleep?" She asked then caressed his head.

"Nope" they said when the little one turned his face to his mumma. "Aaja baby its your feeding time" said Naira taking him. The four of them went upstairs.

Kartik did the night routine with Kittu whilst Naira breast fed Kairav. After rocking the baby to sleep she placed him in his cot.

Kartik comforts Naira when he sees her upset. "Jaan" he gives her a back hug and she holds his arms. "I didn't think he would ask such a question" she told him.

He turned to him. "What are we going to tell him, Kartik?" he nodded and took her in a hug. "Jaan don't worry" he patted her head. She came out of the hug to speak. "Honey i know Kittu he will ask again we have to tell him something na?" 

Kartik nodded "Yes jaan we can say i was on a mission you know working for those years" he suggested. "Yes honey we can say that for now then when he is older we will tell him everything" she told him which he agreed with. 

He kept his hands around her shoulders "Yes jaan when he is older to understand i will tell him my past" Naira cupped his face. "Honey you know exactly what solution to give your such a brilliant daddy to our babies" 

Kartik encircled her waist. "During Kittu's time Anant was there for support and obviously mumma and masi..hey?" She asked when he removed her hands off his face.

"You seriously can't feel jealous about Anant the guy has a baby on the way he is happily married"  

"I am aware but..

"But?" 

"I don't know jaan it could have gone the other way had i not come back" he told her.

"Honey" she held his hands.

"But it didn't go that way, you came back to us" she said. Now she regretted saying Anant she knew it was a topic that still hit a nerve.

He nodded "And even if you had then i would have stolen you back" she giggled and looped his neck.

"Accha how?" He held her waist. 

"You know jaan" he raised an eyebrow.

"No.." she pecked his lips. 

"Maybe i should show you" he said then put his lips on hers, they started kissing passionately soon their clothes were discarded and two became one.

The next few days Kaira were sorting out Kairav's birthday party as well as balancing their work life.

Kartik was coming out of the nursery "dadda" he said, slapping his daddy's cheeks playfully. "Bacha say mumma" he said as he wanted Naira to hear mumma from his mouth too

"Dadda?" He said and Kartik shook his head "there that's?" He said pointing in the door way to Naira who was surrounded by her family.

"Kairav is awake," said Anjali with a big smile Kartik nodded and gave him. "Dekho bacha nani" he said

"Kal pata hai its your birthday" she said carrying him on her hip.

"Kairav" said Vidya, both women showered affection on him.

"Usi girls zyada pasand hai dekho look at that smile" said Naira pinching his cheeks.

Kairav laughed in Vidya's arms. Kartik saw Kittu who seemed a bit quiet. "Hey buddy" he carried him up. 

"Daddy" he wrapped his little arms around his neck. 

"Are you excited for Kairav's party tomorrow?" Kittu nodded."Now Kairav will be a big baby too. Kartik nodded. "Yes bacha he will be a whole year" said Kartik whilst cushioning his head.

"So what clothes will he be wearing tomorrow?" asked Anjali.

"Mumma Kartik, got him a cute outfit you will also see it tomorrow" 

"Yes mumma jiju's choice is always good" 

"Thanks champ" Kartik said to Varun.

"Yes i agree Kartik's choice is perfect after all he chose my Naira as his life partner" smiled Anjali.

"Yes mumma i can't disagree with you there" smiled Kartik.

"Guys stop now you're making me feel shy" she said and everyone laughed. Kartik went over with Kittu. "Kittu come to nani" said Anjali but he snuggled more into his daddy.

"Aree what happened?" Next thing Kairav stretched his arms he wanted Kartik to hold him too. Vidya giggled "both daddy ke boys hai" she gave Kairav to him.

"Haan masi dekho na both want daddy" she said but inside she was so happy she loved seeing him with their babies.

"Jiju, Kittu, Kairav smile" said Varun as he clicked their photo. Then he showed Naira. "Aww all my boys Varun send me this one its too precious" 

"Of course  di" he smiled.

Then they all had dinner together enjoying time with her family. They then did their night routine with the kids. 

"Both are asleep" she said, coming into their bedroom. "What time did she say we have to go to the studio?" He asked her.

"Honey" she sat next to him on the bed and he immediately held her from behind. "Good news they can do the shoot at home" she said whilst running her fingers along his arms.

"That's what we wanted in the first place, that's perfect jaan" he said then kissed her cheek. Naira smiled "our baby's 1st birthday and we get to do it together" she turned "i am so happy" and snuggled into him, her arms loosely holding him closely around the shoulders. "Me too jaan" he grinned whilst embracing her.

The next day Kartik and Naira went into the nursery and saw their baby boy sitting up in the crib."Happy birthday baby" they said together he looked at them with a smile.

"Chalo.." Naira carried him up and kept him on her hip. Kartik kissed his temple and Naira smiled at her hubby.

"I'll just give him his feed then daddy you can change his nappy and dress him up" she said he nodded. Naira breastfed him then gave him to Kartik whilst she went to check on how the decor was coming along in the garden and living area.

Kartik was changing him on the mat "In goes the hands" he said whilst making him wear the straps. He then made him sit up. "Kitna cute lagra hai mera bacha" he carried him up in the air and kissed his cheeks. "Dadda" he squealed.

"Chalo lets go show to mumma" he left the nursery and reached downstairs excited to show him to Naira.

"Yeah mumma that's fine" said Naira as she was on a call to her.

Hmm..ok by 1pm" she turned and saw Kartik with the baby she smiled. "Yes mumma got to go..love you too bye" she ended the call.

"Mela baby!" She went over to them "aww honey he is looking so damn cute in this" she said then tickled his little belly. Just then the bell rang.

"Jaan you take him i'll go see" 

"No honey Rose haina" said Naira whilst taking Kairav. "Who is excited for their 1st cake smash?" she said whilst rocking Kairav side to side.

"Sir the photographer crew are here asking where to set up?" 

"Rose i'm coming" he said then went.

"Dadda" he said whilst holding her nuptial chain. "Yes we all love dadda even mumma loves dadda, ' said Naira.

"Jaan can you come here a sec?" Kartik called. Naira placed Kairav in the walker then went to see what Kartik needed. 

"Mumma?" he finally said but Naira missed it. 

"Kairu i am back" said Kittu who just walked into the living area. He just got dropped back by Varun because Kittu wanted to spend time with his favourite mama.

Kartik was with the photographer people in the garden.

Anjali had just come by to drop Kittu off "Naira beta i have dressed Kittu for the photoshoot i'm getting the cake now.. yeh ladka kaha re gaya Varun beta hurry we are getting late!"

"Chill mumma jeez i am coming" he said. 

"Thanks mumma" Naira hugged them both  goodbye.They will see them later in the afternoon for the party.

"Jaan, did they leave? I didn't even say hello properly" he told her.

She held his arms. "It's ok you will see them all later..now where are our boys?" She asked. He took her hand and they went to the living area Rose was supervising the kids.

The cake smash was set up in the living area. "Kairav?" She lifted him up from the walker. 

Then they all went to the set up. "Kairav see that" Kartik sat him down near the cake. The photographer started to click his photos he crawled near the cake, then he put his hand in it.

"Oh look at him go" Naira giggled when Kairav started eating the cake with both his hands.

"That's my boy" said Kartik when Kairav smashed the cake. 

"Kairu is very good," Kittu said whilst clapping.

All these precious moments were being captured on video too. "Right jaan look at our messy baby" Kartik carried him up.

"Straight in the bath mr" Naira said whilst holding his little hands. They went upstairs then gave him a bath then together Kaira dressed him in his birthday clothes.

 Naira came down."Rose we will quickly get changed please make sure they both keep their clothes clean. "Sure ma'am don't worry" she said then carried Kairav from her.

Naira quickly raced upstairs. "Jaan" he took her into a back hug.

"Honey you really choose your moments to romance" he kissed her cheek. "We need to get ready for the family photos" she told him he turned her towards him.

"Not now" she put her hand between their lips. "I have told Rose to make sure the kids keep their clothes clean" 

"Oh we better hurry" he said then Kaira quickly got changed. 

"Ok honey i am ready" she said whilst applying her lipstick. "Aren't you leaving your hair open?" 

She giggled "no because you Mr Goenka" she walked to him.

"Can just about handle the fact I am wearing a saree after long the open hair will make you..

He held her waist. "Yes you look gorgeous in the saree" he kissed her temple.

"You know right now we are doing the party..she looped his neck. "After the party we can have Kaira time" she winked.

"Our own party Jaan.. he smiled then carried her up. "Honey photo session baby ka birthday remember?" Kartik placed her down. "Let's go put on our parent hat," he said.

They returned downstairs "Kittu look we are all matching come" he said then picked him from the sofa. Naira had Kairav in her arms.  and took some family photos in the garden. Some with just the brothers, some of Kaira with Kairav and Kittu. Some with just Kaira and Kairav because it was his birthday and some solo ones too.

They had a beautiful photoshoot. Two hours later her mumma, masi and Varun arrived, they took photos outside with them. "Mumma, Vidya masi the cake is so nice" said Naira after she had a peek.

"Yes beta Anjali never fails to meet expectations. "Hmm" said Naira, even her mumma knew that statement was not true. "Really Vidya even i don't agree to that" the three of them started laughing. 

"Jaan..he is still asleep" said Kartik whilst holding Kairav as he fell asleep on his shoulder.

"You can place him to sleep on sofa people are still arriving, honey your arm will get tired holding him" 

"No i'm fine jaan he can sleep here" he said then rubbed Kairav's back. "Ok honey come i'll show you the cake" 

"Jaan how beautiful do the string of photos look outside?" he complimented.

"I know right, it's perfect and too adorable" she said whilst holding his hand. "Yeah jaan" they went to the kitchen and she showed him the cake.

"Jaan that is cute" Naira nodded thenvher attention went to Kairav she leant close and kissed his rosy cheek. "Happy birthday baby" she smiled.

"Hey girl" she felt a neck hug from behind" Naira turned "Piya di" she squealed and hugged her then saw Shanks. "Jiju" she smiled seeing his hands occupied by their two babies Rohan and Roshan.

"How are you Kartik?" 

"Same as you brother" he said referring to the baby in his arms Shanks chuckled.

"I know but i wouldn't change it for the world" 

"Same here" agreed Kartik.

"My cuties" she Naira then  took one of them in her arms. 

"Birthday boy is asleep?" Asked Piya

"Yes Piya di in the next 5 minutes he will be awake" said Kartik.

"Piya masi" smiled Kittu. 

"Kitkat" she held his hands then hugged him.

"Mumma chaiye?" Said Naira when Roshan was getting cranky.

"Jaan he is awake" said Kartik. Naira gave Roshan to his mumma.

"Baby dekho everyone is here for your birthday" he went to Naira whilst rubbing his eye. 

Kartik went and greeted Piya, Shanks and the kids properly.

"Beta Kartik ke kuch dost aye hai" said her mumma.

Kartik saw from a distance. Ian and Lucy are here with the kids" he smiled.

Kaira went and met them and saw more guests arriving. They greeted everyone and now Kairav was wide awake.

People were eating finger food with drinks. "Honey" she rocked Kairav gently in her arms. "Everyone is here, let's cut the cake?" She asked. "Yes jaan i'll get Kittu you go we will just come" he told her.

Kartik got Kittu and stood with him at the table whilst Naira held Kairav.

 Photos and videos were being taken while they all stood there. Kairav cut the cake with his parents, they fed him a little then the relatives and friends fed him a little and gave him gifts. 

Everyone was playing with the birthday boy after sometime lunch got served Naira took Kairav upstairs for a feed. 

"Kittu come here baccha do you want to go play on the bouncy castle?" He asked him.

"Yeah Kittu come," said Mason. Kittu went with him. The kids were enjoying outside whilst the adults were relaxing outside and some inside.

Kartik was catching up with Ian and Shanks. Shortly Naira came down. "Hello baby" he carried Kairav from her. "Honey has Kittu eaten?" 

"Yes jaan you too have something. "Naira beta come, we made your plate" said her masi. "Ok honey i'll just be outside wait tumne khaya?" 

"Yeah I had a little actually I had a lot of cake so I am good for now" he told her. She rubbed his arm "ok honey i'll just be outside" she caressed Kairav's cheek then went outside and joined Piya, her mumma and Vidya for lunch.

Naira was having fun with her family. They spoke about babies, life, work etc especially her and Piya.

"Kittu don't jump too high bacha lag jayegi" said Kartik whilst Kittu  was jumping on the bouncy castle.

Everyone enjoyed the party a lot Kaira said bye to Shanks and Piya and a few more guests. Kittu and Kairav were wiped out. Kaira placed them both to sleep in the living room sofa.

"This was great, it was so nice to see you guys again," said Lucy.

"Yes Lucy we need to go for a coffee sometime without the kids" Lucy giggled "yes Naira i couldn't agree more" 

"See you bro" he said to Ian he hugged Kartik but Mason was asleep in his arms. Naira hugged Lucy then they left.

Kaira said bye to her mumma, masi and Varun. "Bye" they waved then came back into the house.

"That was really good" she said and he nodded "yes jaan" he agreed. "Right Rose is with them, I am going to get changed.." She turned to the stairs then turned back "honey you come too lets go before our babies are awake" Kartik nodded.

He walked behind her then they reached their room. Naira walked ahead and she went to her cupboard. "Oh?" She said when she felt a kiss on her nape then turned.

"Don't give me that look jaan ok i have been good i didn't try to kiss or touch you at all at the party" 

"I should hope it's not its a kids party" she replied then walked off. She removed one earring  at the dressing table. "Jaan.." he said softly and untied her hair. "Honey" she turned to him. "Shh" he kept a finger to her lips. "My sherni" he moved her hair to the back.
