After sharing such a intimate moment with each other, he rolled onto his back

“you ok?” he asked, she looked up at him, and nodded. She leaned forward and kissed his lips.  “I love you so much” she said snuggling her face into the dip of his neck, as she stretched her arm across his naked waist.

“I love you more” she closed her eyes listening to him. He put his one arm around her shoulder keeping her close to him.

“I’m glad we didn’t wait” she said cuddling him closely with the bed sheet covering them.   “me too” he whispered, then he kissed her forehead and  held her hand that was across his chest, he fell asleep with her.

Her cheek was resting on his bare shoulder, he was awake for a good hour just thinking of what he should do, he looked over to her, she looked so beautiful, innocent, he wanted to protect her always and him being here was endangering her, He kissed her forehead and got up.  An hour or so later, she stirred in the bed

“Kartik” she called, but there was no answer. He sealed the letter shut. He picked up the bag and about to open the front door.

“you weren’t even going to say goodbye?” he stopped.

“its best this way” she walked forward and he heard her come behind him, now he knew he had to face her.  She stood there in a long thin gown.

“best for who?” she questioned, he didn’t say anything.

“please, there has to be another way, she said standing behind him, caressing his nape then hugged the side of him. “I love you, please don’t leave me” she closed her eyes, inhaling him. He was feeling so bad, he dropped his bag turned around  and held her close to him she instantly hugged him.

“Look at me” he asked. She did..

“It’s because..” his words trailed off once she glued her mouth on his, he kissed her back, with equal amount of passion. They shared many kisses, and at the last one was followed by a forehead touch.

“Its because I love you I have to leave I can’t be around here, its just a matter of time before anyone finds out about us, please understand na..” he went to caress her cheek
 She took a step back.

(Tut) "Naira" he held her around the shoulders trying to reason with her.

"Jaan please tum to meri Sherni Hona and you have to be strong for me haina?" She looked up at him and shook her head.

"I'm sorry mein itni bhi strong nai hu Kartik" he heard her whimper. This was killing him seeing her like this.

“nai hu she turned her back against him. He breathed heavily. 'What can I do, to make her feel better my Naira is heartbroken, but I can't break in front of her, no Kartik think'

"Kartik after everything that happen with us, everything we did I can't believe you want to still leave"

"Its not my choice bel..

"Unless that's it, you wanted to sleep with me and now you don't want me, what you came for you got" she said in a bitter tone.

"Naira!" She was startled by his tone. He pulled her roughly towards him.

"You seriously think such a cheap thing about me?"  He was angry.

"Ahh" she winced squeezing her lids. Kartik loosened his grip, looking down at her which she held on her lower belly.

"Pain hora hai?" He said in a concerned tone. she nodded "thoda but not compared to the pain I will go through without you in my life but you don't care how much I do"
she went silent they both did just standing but not uttering a word.

"I don't care? You think this is easy for me I'm trying to be strong, its killing me! Her eyes met his sad ones.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean any of that" she hugged him, he hugged her trying stop his own tears. They released each other wiping each others tears.

"if I had my way I would never leave you I love you more than anything in this world Naira"

"Then don't leave me" she repeated again.

"Right now we are only thinking about each other but...

"But what?" He held her hands.

“Naira think about your family, your dad, Varun , if something  happened to them I would, you would never forgive yourself, I have to do what’s right and deep down you know it too” she nodded slightly.

“I will never forget you” he said chewing is bottom lip trying to stop his tears from flowing.. He kissed her forehead, they shared a soft smile mutual like finally excepting his decision.., he took his bag and didn’t look back it was too hard not too so he did and they waved at each other putting a brave front on. Once she shut the door she leaned against it, and broke down slipping down against the frame, sobbing like a little child, clutching at her chest, feeling like her heart had been ripped out.  She couldn’t believe she will never see him again, she just wanted to disappear.

A hour or so later, she went upstairs into her room, looking at her bed, she got into it and cried herself to sleep reliving last night's special moments with him. Her mind kept thinking about him three days passed liked that.

“dad I’m fine, honestly, in fact I am going out with Maya today so..”  she lied.
“great, but you know if you want to talk, or anything I’m here for you” she nodded

“I know love you papa” she said cuddling him. “Love you too princess ”   Her dad left her room. She kept checking her phone, she even rang him but no answer, really bad thoughts clouded her mind, she hoped he was safe, her heart jumped every time she watched the news report a murder story, what if it was him. She tried to keep positive that maybe he is away and trying to make his life in a new country, but negative thoughts kept coming her way.

“I will get ready and go see Maya” she hadn’t been out of the house since that day, she quickly got dressed. “I’m going out in half hour ” she saw her brother and dad ready too.

“Are you sure you don’t want to come with us to Ezra’s party he invited the whole family.” She shook her head.

“nah maybe I will come later” they nodded and left from there. Naira combed her hair, took her bag and headed downstairs, she opened the front door and couldn’t believe her eyes. “Kartik? Its really you no its not I’m day dreaming the slammed the door close, gathering her thoughts, there was a knock, she opened it.

“I thought you would be glad to see me but..

“your really here, oh my gosh” she sighed and jumped in his arms,

“I just couldn’t keep away from you”  he said hugging her.
She touched his face.

“I love you I couldn’t leave without you” he pushing a lose strand off her face.

“I’ve missed you” she replied her palms resting on his chest.  Their eyes met and their lips followed.

As much as he loved kissing her, he had to get a few words out.

“I don’t have much time, I’m leaving tonight, and I want you to come with me I’ve booked us both a flight to India tonight”   she was quiet until she registered what he said!.

“oh my God seriously.? ” she commented.  

“I’m sorry I’m asking too much of you, but I want us to leave for india and get married my nani is great she will love you I’m 100% I’m sure of it. She smiled hearing that.

“wait, seeing as I’m here” he put his bag down. and got on one knee. Naira’s  jaw dropped, he is about to propose marriage? He pulled her left hand softly and held it, then began to open the little box “Naira Mukesh Singhania will do make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?” she could feel her eyes moist. She nodded.

“Yes of course  I will” she caressed his cheek as he slipped the ring on her finger.  She smiled fully, admiring the rock and her man, when he was done she held his face he got up and their lips met in a tender kiss. “Wow” she replied as she hugged him.

“yay” he replied.

“ok so I’ll go get my bag and come” she said smiling he smiled back  that is unconditional love he thought.

“actually my jaan  I need to go print the tickets off, so I will do that and meet you at our special place then we will both leave for the airport.

“ok” she replied.

“I better hurry before the internet café shuts”  she nodded.

“yeah you go and  I will meet you around 9pm?”     

“perfect, actually I will give you a call when to leave I think that will work out better”
“ok but not too late, before 11pm otherwise my dad and Varun will be home and  I won’t be able to leave easily”

“don’t worry my love it will be way before 11pm our flight leaves at 9pm and right now its coming to 5pm”
“come here” he called her . “so my darling fiancé I will see you soon” she smiled as they kissed. “Fiancé I will the sound off that” she said looking into his eyes, her arms looped around his neck. He chuckled

“me too”. He kissed her temple. “Right see you later beautiful”. He said turning to leave. “Kartik?” she called and he turned “hmm?”
“I love you”
“Love you more.. he smiled “see you soon” they exchanged a cute smile and he left from there. “Wow I’m engaged”, she said admiring the ring. She kissed it and happily climbed the stairs to do her packing.  She didn’t really think about anything else she was head over heels in love with him. It was coming to 10pm, and there was no call, she called him but his phone came switched off. The key turned and Varun and her dad were home.

“oh no now how will I get out?” she went down to them and made small talk , shortly they went to sleep, she couldn’t sleep, she kept looking at her phone and the ring. “Why didn’t he call, was this all just a cruel joke” she said turning to her side on the bed. “Don’t be silly Naira you know he meant every word, but then where is he?” her mind questioned.

"I'm going to start work in San Diego soon  Varun can come with me, and Anjali  Naira  can go stay with your sister in Arizona that way you can save your reputation in NYC and she can get over his death ." said Mukesh.
