"Naira?" he spotted her washed up on the shore he looked around but he couldn't see anyone else Kartik gently shook her but she was motionless..

8 hours earlier

Sydney, Australia

The boat was filled with fun and laughter carrying 50 students.

9am
Everyone was on the boat a few hours passed

Naira's outfit a bikini dress wrap on and her hairnis out
but she wore a denim jacket on top of her dress

2pm
"This boat is awesome babes" said Vicky

"Naira come let's go check out the upper deck"

"Don't touch me you weirdo.. Vicky was a sleezebag he hits on any girl he finds attractive.

"Vicky leave her..you ok Naira?"

"hmm thanks Sunny"

Meet Sunny Naira has a huge crush on him since she was 14 years old but he never showed any interest in her but she never gave up and just two days ago they started chatting more she felt such a great hope for a blossoming relationship possibility.

"No problem by the way nice dress" he smiled which made her weak at the knees.

"Omg did that just happen.."

"Hey Naira what did Sunny just say..

"I don't know but I think he just flirted I have a good feeling Ritz .. she squealed

Meet Ritisha short form name Ritz she is Naira's best friend and confidante.

6pm
"That's great and this boat party is rocking yaar let's go to the upper deck waha people are doing shots..

"Nai Ritz abhi nai I am going try and find Sunny"

"Yaar look let things happen at its pace play hard to get guys like that trust me!" Naira nodded in agreement.

"ok I'm cool let's go upstairs and have drinks" said Naira

"You sure?"

"Yes you only live once and this is our final year before University and exams ke baad when will we be enjoying like this?"

"Uni mein?.. but Naira shook her head

"Nai my sister said high school aur college ke baad everyone goes their separate ways.. we should enjoy this party phir exam ki revision we will have start next week then exams aur University ke preparations mein busy..

"Bas, bas yaar itni dur ki kyu soch rahi ho filhal upper chal" she nodded and went to the upper deck with her.

"The water looks so pretty from up here" she said seeing the ripples as the boat was moving..

"Yes I am going to click a photo" said Ritz both girls enjoyed the breeze and atmosphere some cheering and whistles caught their attention both girls decided to check it out.

"Sunny, Sunny"

"Kartik, Kartik"

Kartik was sitting at a table

His outfit but he is wearing a white blazer on top

"Kartik and Sunny are arm wrestling looks like Kartik is winning yay!"

"Chup Ritz Sunny needs to win Kartik woh to naya aya hai" said Naira

"Yes but mujhe bahut pasand hai he is total cutie"

"Sunny come on!" Yelled Naira ignoring Ritz's comment actually she didn't hear it.

"Come on Kartik!"

"Kartik? have you even said a word to him or has he even said Hello thoda arrogant type ka hai"

"New hai but woh..yes! Kartik won" Ritz jumped in happiness Naira rolled her eyes

"Sunny look he looks upset why did that Kartik have to win" she said feeling irritated.

"I am glad Kartik won" said Ritz

"Whatever chal let's go have some drinks" said Naira pulling Ritz's by the arm.

"Hey girls what drink can I make for you?" Said the bar tender.

"I'll have a lemonade with vodka" said Ritz

"Just a cola non alcoholic thanks" said Naira

"Naira didn't we just-

"I don't want a hang over I have to still call my parents I promised I would before we got on the boat actually mein na niche ja kar call karti hu I'll be a few minutes" said Naira taking her phone and going to the lower deck to make the call.

"The reception is rubbish here there is no network" said Kartik leaving the upper deck..

"Hi Naina di..sorry I forgot to call.." Naira said but held on to the railing as the boat jerked a little.

"Naira it's ok how are things going?"

"Di your voice is unclear" said Naira

"Little one can you hear me now?"

"Ruk I'll call you back" she said to her sister but when she called the call kept cutting off..

"What the hell.." she said in frustration she went back to the upper deck and saw Ritz

"Naira your back.. Ritz said at the top of her lungs

"Already your drunk? what's the point what are you going to remember of this night?" Naira said shaking her head.

The Captain steered the boat to go back..as storm was on it's way and heading their way!

20 minutes or so passed and everyone was enjoying snacks and drinks whilst dancing.. but all of a sudden the boat started slowing down..

"Naira, Ritz what's going on?"

"I don't know Kirti the captain is making an announcement"

"Hello everyone please don't panic.. we have a situation the boat's engine has started to slow down because a storm is coming"

He didn't say failing because that would panic the students he had an idea to slowly steer it back to shore..

"Now please listen to me carefully there are life jackets available on the-" in sheer panic everyone went to get a life jacket on.

"What's going on sab kaha jare hai?"

"Kartik my brother here wear this"

"But why is there a problem?" He asked his friend

Meet Arjun Kartik's friend who just clicked with him from his very first day of college when he met him Kartik joined to do his final 6 months so he knew very few people in his year.

"Yes I guess you were busy but the captain said their is a storm coming up and we all need to be prepared in case the situation gets worse."

"What seriously?"

"Kartik I am serious" he said Kartik quickly wore the life jacket.

"Who was on the phone?"

"Papa he reminded me to behave not to drink.. I have an interview with America's top university the day after tomorrow"

"Naira where is your life jacket?"

"Sorry Ritz vomited I missed the announcement Kirti.. waise kya kaha captain ne?"

"Naira here wear this" said Sunny

"Life jacket but why?" She asked her mind couldn't get excited at the fact that he went and got her the jacket that means something more maybe?.. but life jacket means something serious!

"Just stay on the upper deck.." he said but a loud bang made her ears ring..

"Huh..what?" The boat started to sway and because Naira was afraid of heights she went to leave the upper deck but it jerked!

"Naira, where is Naira?"

"Yaha kehe Ritz how much did you drink?" Said Kirti she took care of her.

"Help, help I am stuck" said Kartik on the lower deck "Arjun yeh washroom ka door stuck hai! Hello koi hai kya?" Just then Kartik saw water below his feet..

"Oh shit Arjun was right help..help!" He yelled

"I hate heights but then.."  Naira said holding the railings why is the boat moving so much?"

"This is your captain we are adrift and taking on water. I have given the order to abandon ship. I repeat, we are launching life rafts and are about to abandon ship. Mayday, mayday, mayday”.

Kartik managed to push the door open and walk but there was water every where.. Naira paced the floor but then decided to go back upstairs as the lights went out but as she was she saw a huge wave of water coming her way!

Kartik tried to find Arjun but the wind was strong and the water was increasing! 15 minutes later the boat was capsized.

All the students were on life rafts except for two.. Kartik and Naira were missing.. all the others made it back but the missing two were not noticed until the college saw 48 students out of 50 were listed as survival.

"Right that's everyone except for two students" said Mrs Robinson the head of the college.

"One is Kartik Goenka"

"Another is Naira Singhania" said Mr Kennedy the deputy head.

"Hey did you guys hear Naira is missing" said Kirti

"What Naira didn't make it back but I gave her a life jacket" said Sunny

"Why did I drink, I am such an idiot Oh God Naira where are you" Ritz started sobbing.

"Kartik is missing too" said Arjun

"I thought it was just Naira but it's both of them?" said Ritz feeling terrible.

7pm
Kartik was looking around as he became conscious of his surroundings.

"what the..where am I?" He sat up looking around he noticed he was on sand but what beach and how did he end up here..he managed to stand up it looked like the storm was here too from the look of the messy beach it had sun loungers, umbrella's, blankets etc turned upside down. Kartik walked and then remembered what happened..

"My phone? Damn it that must've gotten lost when the boat started filling up" he walked a bit thinking how to contact someone he took his blazer off as it was getting really hot.

"Its just me here, everyone else must've gotten on the some rescue  raft thing" then he spotted something on the far end of the beach.

"Woh kya hai..I'll go see" he started power walking towards the pile of clothes.

"That's not something it's someone! woh ladki Sunny ki girlfriend hai I think" He walked closer

"Oh its kya hai name..Nai, Naira?" He got down on his knees

"Naira?" He shook her gently but she didn't move.. he looked around but there wasn't a person insight.

"Naira its Kartik Goenka..can you hear me?" He asked tapping her cheek just then she stirred alittle.

"Mumma, papa, Naina?" She called then her lids fluttered open he removed his hand and stood up.

"Mein kaha hu" she looked around then sat up.

"Sab kaha hai?" She asked scanning the view

"I don't know I um woke up here" he said putting his hands in his Jean pockets.

"Boat I was on a boat and then there was water and then..Naira hugged her knees she then looked up luckily her dressed dried up from the blazing sunshine.

"where is everyone else?" She asked standing up

"I have no idea I thought it was just me but then I saw that your here too" he said

"That means the others are here too..

"I looked but I can't see anyone else" he replied

"I am going to see if I can find any of the others" she said walking off she didn't want to hang out with him as she hardly knew him.

"Its no use Miss Singhania I looked" he yelled she turned to him

"I want to see for myself" she yelled back and kept walking she removed her denim jacket and held it.

"Fine suit yourself" he replied Naira kept walking her feet came under loose blankets and other items.. she had been walking for 10 minutes and was feeling tired she tied her jacket around her waist.

"Really there is no one else from college but how is it just me...oh and that Kartik?" She said looking around and now when she turned back she couldn't see him on the beach either.

"I should try and find some help..but where do I look?" He said
"and that girl where did she go..?" He looked around.

"The sun is setting already?" She looked up seeing the sky getting dim.

"Miss Singhania" he called softly she turned and saw him standing  behind her.

"Yah what?"

"there you are..now I am not going to keep chasing you.." He said

"I didn't ask you to" she snapped

'Attitude to dekho yeh ladki ki' he thought

"Listen we are stranded here. I want to get out of this place just as much as you do mujhe koi shock nai hai staying here..now we can do it together or go our separate ways.. so what will it be?" He asked her.

Lost on an isolated island and only each other for comfort and company it will only bring them closer stay tuned for the next part of  Stranded..

how was it? I have tried to write a different story actually this idea I had ages back..it will be a short story let's see how you guys like it..
