All the women were busy in jagrata Naira had made an excuse and quickly checked her phone..
"Maybe he was just saying like that" she said whilst checking her phone as there was no message or indication. It was coming upto 11:45pm in 15 mins it will be her birthday.
'It's ok I will see him tomorrow and one way it's better too many people way too risky..' she reflected, adjusting her salvar. She took the stairs.

"What's happened we have a black out?" She said looking around seeing little candles lit.
"Naira here" she was handed a candle by one of the ladies.
"What happened did you call anyone shayad fuse?" She said talking to one of her Saas's friends.
" yes beta actually Savitri just went with him to show him" Naira nodded.
"That's good someone is trying to fix it" Savitri came..
" Naira go to the boiler room and see he is taking sometime and this isn't a good sign jagrata pe esa" Naira nodded to her saas.
" don't worry I will just check"
" it's ok  didi we can still continue everyone listen.." the voices drowned out as Naira left from there. She came to the boiler room and saw a dark figure looking at the fuse box.
"Excuse me, hi, light anne mein kitna time lagega?"
The dark figure in a cap. Responded.
"Kyu? kuch jaldi mein ho madam?" Naira eye brows knitted thinking how is he speaking with her. She went closer.. 'i know that scent very well let me have some fun' she smirked.
"Nai no hurry, you carry on" he smiled hearing her sweet voice.
"Carry on.. bhaiya!" She tried to suppress her laughter. 'Bhaiya did she just call me'
" bhaiya nai saiyan madam" he replied.
"Theekh hai, waise ab single ho?" 'What yeh ese kyu puch rahi hai.. her voice  got his attention.
" waise kaffi cute lagre ho"  she further teased.
"Nai hu,meri girlfriend ko wish karne aya tha" he turned around. She laughed.
"Yay"  she clapped her hands.
"You knew it was me?" She nodded "of course" she folded her arms.
"But I enjoy teasing you.." she shook him. "Mera cutie " he was annoyed but seeing her giggle his anger turned to happiness. He chuckled.
The lights went out. The next thing she felt a heat near her face. His eyes came visible to her from his candle.
"happy birthday baby" her mouth fell open by that husky tone.
"Naira!" She heard her name, she turned away from him. "Oh no Mummyji" Kartik didn't care he didn't come here for nothing. He pulled her by the waist with one arm,  she held his frame for balance. "Kartik woh mum" he ignored her words, blew the candle out and  pressed his lips against hers, he felt her hesistant as she made very little movement, it was the fear of being caught..but he found it a turn on. He liked this innocence of hers.. His hand slipped from her waist to her butt, he fondled her butt cheek and now she was feeling relaxed, she slowly started kissing him back looping his neck getting lost in his kiss.
"Naira kaha ho" her voiced echoed near the room
"No one is here" she looked around Kartik kept his hand against Naira's mouth because she was about to panic. Savitri didn't see anyone so she left.
"Chali gaye" he whispered.
"I should go too"
"No, abhi nai" he held her hand and she didn't stop him.
Ek second" he pushed the fuse back in. "Light agaye?" Naira looked around.
"Hmm, i won the challenge" he pulled her swiftly to him and she fell on his chest, her face buried in his open shirt part where a few buttons were undone.
"Hmm?" He asked trying to see her expression, as he tightened his hands around her waist. he then smiled when he  felt her lips on his bare skin, she kissed him there and then looked up.
"Hmm you won" she smiled up at him. She gave him a butterfly kiss on his chin. They hugged lovingly.
"wait I have something" he quickly took the box and took the delectable item out and handed her a cupcake with a candle.
" quickly make a wish" she looked at him then blew the candle, he sang happy birthday and then, he made her eat it and then she fed him the same cake.
"thank you for making my birthday special mendak" she hugged him, and he hugged her tightly.
"you deserve it baby" they just stood like that content in each others arms.
" light is back, now you should go before someone sees you"
" ok but my challenge isn't complete"
"Oh..ok fine do quickly then go baby beca."
"I want you to kiss me  24 times"
"You know which birthday of mine it is?" She found that sweet
"Of course"
" wait, 24 times? um ok I'm just coming" he chuckled, grabbing her hand.
"no I don't think so..
" please abhi kese karu everyone is looking for me I promise tomorrow morning pakka"
"no challenge is for tonight only" he came in KG mode she went silent.
"ok then I'm going" he let go of her, and dodged pass.
"Wait, wait" she couldn't let him leave angry with her, she turned him and cupped his chin, he didn't say anything she tilted his head forward and pressed her lips to his temple, then looked at him, "1" she said, their eyes met, Naira never seen him so quiet, she cupped his face, and kissed his cheek saying 2 and then 3, he covered his hands on hers. Then she changed it around saying the number followed by her action.
"4" she said near his mouth and kissed the corner of his lips.
"5" Kartik was lost in her sweet affection, no girl has ever done that.
"6" she caressed his lower lip, he closed his eyes and held her hand.
"7" he said and put his lips on hers, pressing her against his toned body. they kissed softly and then it became wild.
"Good the lights are back on, but I don't know where my bahu has got too"
"Maa I think Naira must be upstairs I'll go check if not then maybe garden mein shayad." She nodded to Salil who had just reached home.

Kartik had her pinned to the wall, his hard frame pressing against hers, their bodies touching intimately through their clothes. He was kissing the side of her neck slowly and tenderly, which was arousing her very much, she was keeping control of her urges. Kartik sucked her pulse point, gently biting on it, she caressed the back of his neck which just encouraged him further, he pulled her zipper down, and reality came to her.
"Baby 24 to kab ke hochuke hai" he stopped unzipping, and looked at her. He released a manly chuckle.
"Challenge isn't finished infact you didn't complete.
"Kya?"
"Hmm I said 24 kisses, aur woh hoth pe, yaha pe" he said touching his lips. She pushed him back. Kartik felt confused and even more surprised when she gripped his collars and kissed his lips.
"That's 1" she said, "2" she said pecking him, 3,4,5"
" stop kya hai yeh?" He held her hands.
" who kisses like this, ese nai" she rolled her eyes at his comment.
" fine mendak to phir kese?" He pulled her close.
" ese"  he took her bottom lip into his mouth, Naira closed her eyes, his kisses the way he took the lead was simply heaven. "Ese, slowly, slowly" he said inbetween kisses. She
immediately looped his neck they were now kissing with tongues.

" Naira mili the puja will remain incomplete" Salil was a bit preoccupied with his phone call.
"Yah mumma she is in the garden she said continue she will just come" he lied.
" fine the pujari ji I will ask her if its ok we do without her" he nodded. Meanwhile Kaira were busy..
a loud thud sound made them jump. They broke their heated kiss.
Next thing Naira heard was "Salil beta!"
"Something happened I just check and you should go" he nodded.
He removed his hands from her waist.
"Wait" she held his hand from the back and then came in front of him.
"thank you for making my birthday so special" she cupped his face and gave him a quick kiss.
"Real birthday is tomorrow" he smiled kissing her forehead.
"Haan but pehle mere pyar ne mujhe wish kiya" she hugged him. They broke their embrace as her name was being called repeatedly. Salil had taken a fall,
" Naira where were you?! This all happen because of you!" Spat her Saas. Naira reached there.
"Mummyji did anyone call the ambulance, oh God Salil yeh kese hua"
"You didn't complete the jagrata Puja that's why it's all your fault Naira" Naira was insulted in front of most the guest. Kartik didn't leave he watched from far.. he saw Naira wipe her tears and try to justify her situation. "Look at them all blaming her making her cry , bas this is enough now I bet not one person wished her happy birthday instead all have made my Naira cry how dare they, jee karta hai ke use waha ja Kar apne gale se lagalo" but he knew he couldn't do that, he left from there, he reached home, but he couldn't relax so he sent her an sms.

"Darling sorry I had to leave I hope you are ok?" (Kiss emoji) Kartik tossed and turned it was 2:30am then his phone pinged.
"I'm ok at the hospital right now.. but thank you for caring (kiss emoji) he smiled reading her message.
'Mela baby, listen if you can't make it to the office tomorrow then don't worry take rest your boss will understand' he sent the message half heartedly because he wanted to see her tomorrow especially, his phone pinged.
" your so sweet but don't worry I will come I want to see you" a smiled crept on his lips reading this message and he felt happy that he will see her tomorrow.

Naira came to the office a bit late, Kartik was in a meeting, she went to her room. Kartik just finished his meeting.
"Nikki Naira aye kya?"
"Yes sir just a few minutes ago she went to her room" he nodded
"Ok everything is set" she nodded.
"Great, bring her in 5 minutes" she nodded. Kartik went to his workers and gathered them.
"Sir ko kya hogaya" said one girl
"Yeah Naira hasn't even been with us that long" said another girl
"Exactly why such a big deal for her, he never celebrated anyone else birthday like this"
"Ok quiet everyone!" He shouted, getting irritated by the noise.
Naira was just replying to her  emails.
"Hi Naira please come with me" Naira got up from the seat, they walked.
"Everything ok?" She asked.
" hmm just that.." she pushed the door.
"Surprise!" her mouth dropped as the room erupted with cheer with his voice being the loudest. She smiled when the party poppers went off, covering her with gold confetti.  Everyone started singing happy birthday. Kartik called her forward, she slowly went and stood next to him.
"Happy birthday miss Naira, this is from the whole staff" he handed her a bouquet and a gift bag.
"Thank you, thank you everyone" she said sweetly. Everyone wished her, some Male colleagues tried to hug her, Kartik's hand turned to a fist but he kept his control, Naira was a bit quiet..
"Ok everyone party over back to work, remember we have a big order coming up, a lot of work to do" everyone exited the room, he wanted to talk to Naira alone but she went first and he got busy with a stubborn client for 2 hours on the phone.
"Idiot" said Kartik as he hung up, he ruffled his hair. He left his room, all his anger vanished as he opened her office door. He took in the beautiful sight of her asleep her head resting in her arms on the desk. "Hey beautiful" he whispered and kissed her cheek, she stirred.
"Sorry, sorry mein sogaye" she said sitting up.
"Hey it's ok relax" he caressed her cheek.
"I didn't sleep much last night" she said standing up to rest in his arms he held her petite frame.
" how is Salil"
"Yeah fine, mummyji exaggerating as usual.. he is coming home today it was just a sprained ankle and a few bruises nothing major."
" that's good nothing major.. so your birthday plans"
"Kuch nai, sab bhul gaye, na mummyji, Salil, my family ne message he nai bheja" she went quiet.
" aur.." she said in a  broken tone..
" hmm bolo baby?"
" aur masi maa woh kabhi nai bhulti Kartik but this time she didn't wish me" she sobbed he tighten his arms around her shoulders, rubbing her arms. Naira wiped her tears.
"Papa, arohi even Kavya didn't wish me" he cupped her chin.
" Listen, listen the day is still young sab ki messages ayenge" she shook her head.
" I don't care anymore, acchha ask me what I want for my birthday?"
"Hmm what baby?"
" tum Kartik, sometime with you bas, even a small dinner but I know it's not possible with our schedule, its ok last night was very memorable thank you for that" she held his hands peaked and his lips.
"I'm just going to the washroom" he nodded.
"Don't worry darling you will get a birthday to remember my love" he quickly dialled a number.
" Nikki it's me, did that box arrive.. remember I'm not here tomorrow..

"Afternoon Kartik what brings you here?"
"Actually bua I need to tell you I'm going on a business trip abroad tomorrow  and I'm taking Naira and a few colleagues along.."
"Oh I see ok then"
"Please dont deny,  wait you said ok?" She nodded.
" yeah beta it's fine "
" and Salil you will be ok to look after him on his own?"
" oh please mostly she is working in the office and beside  his mother is still here, I'm  capable of looking after my own son all by myself" kartik nodded
 "ok I better get back to the office give Salil my best wishes that he makes a speedy recovery"
She smiled at him.
"I will beta thank you" he gave a polite smile and left from there. He started driving back to the office. "Don't worry sherni if anyone remembers or not I will make your birthday very special because you deserve the best" he smiled.
