"I miss him already" she pouted.
Kartik walked into the bar, he tried to go in discreetly.
"2 chocolate brownie ice creams fast"
"Tub wala"
" hmm tubs" he said impatiently because he wanted to be out of there and back to her. He politely took the tubs and left.

"Kavya and me are here but I have no idea where is Naira is"
"Yeah Arohi di, actually Naira di was with me only but then she went I think maybe it was a call about work"
" hmm I think your right Kavi"
"Actually everyone is all over the place cool party though" said someone.
"don't worry Naira koi bachi nai  hai now enjoy the party babe let's dance"
"Your right Arjun she is an adult" she smiled and went with him on the dance floor.

Kartik is sitting,his back against the wall, with his feet stretched out, he has Naira seated on his lap her feet resting on his, his arms around her hers, he is feeding her ice cream, he is holding the spoon to her face,  he touched the spoon to her chin, to her nose but not her lips.
"Bas ab nai chaiye" she said cutely closing her mouth. He chuckled.
"Sorry baby here for real" she shook her head, he found her expression too cute.
" muh kholo I know you are hungry"  he said sweetly, but she refused turned her head outwards
"Mujhe aur tareeka ata hai"
" hmm?" She said in confusion turning to him.
" hmm" he gave her mischievous smile,
"Mendak" she giggled, feeling his hand tickle her waist, seeing her laugh, he smiled and gave the spoon.
"Mmm" she said tasting the creamy ice cream melt on her tongue.
" nice na?" She nodded, then she took the tub and dug the spoon in eating some more. He held her  around the waist keeping her balanced on him.
"Yum" she said closing her eye enjoying the taste. Kartik watched her with a grin, her lush lips enveloped around the spoon, her cute innocent childlike look. She took another spoon chewing the bits of fudge. Kartik felt mesmerised by her,  he pressed his lips to her left cheek.she smiled closing her eyes. Then she all of a sudden turned to him. Raising her brows, she offered him her spoon, he shook his head.
"Aren't you hungry?" He nodded.
" hmm I'm hungry but not for ice cream" he said in a husky tone. She looked ahead, with a blush, Kartik felt his lap get lighter.
" nai sherni" he pulled her by her lower arms, she fell back on him, he wrapped his arms around her waist. He started rocking her side to side.
" ahh mein gir jaungi" she said with a giggle. He chuckled, then held close.
" ok sorry.." he said resting his chin on her left shoulder. " mmm you smell delicious" he angled his head and inhaled  her neck, which made goosebumps all over her, he then held both her hands in his, then he took the one with the mehendi in his hand. 
"My name looks so pretty on your hand" he kissed her palm. She smiled, then he then trailed kisses up her arm. Naira sighed in glee.
" Kar..tik?"
"Hmm?" He said. She sat up straighter, holding his knees for support.
"hume jana chaiye" he lifted his head up.
"Oi" he said softly turning her by the chin towards him. He gave her smile that made her heart skip a beat.
" ok fine.." he came closer.
" if that's what you want" his lips were fanning hers.. and she was losing her train of thought.
"It's not" she said looping his neck, their lips just inches apart, craving each other lips. Naira's phone made them both stop, she looked for her clutch.
 "Where is my bag?"
" leave it" he said pulling her back on his lap.
"What if someone comes searching it's risky na"
"What fun is life without any risks." He said in a seductive tone.
"Kartik I'm serious if someone comes here then"
"NAIRA!"  Naira froze.
"Its Salil!" She quickly got off him, and walked ahead.
"Naira, I've been looking everywhere sweetheart"
"Yeh sala kaha se agaya" said Kartik hiding away.
"Yeah I was on the phone important call tha.um how did you know where I was?"
"Oh yeah someone said there is girl near the pool area I assume it's you"
"Oh..lucky guess" she said nervously
 "come Preeti is calling you" he said taking her along.
"Give me a second please I'm just coming.." he rolled his eyes.
"Please" she fluttered her eye lashes, using her woman charms. 'Naira don't do that with him I don't like it..'he said watching them from the corner.
"Ok fine five minutes.." she nodded.

He walked off.. Naira made sure he out of sight, she walked back to him.
" sorry,sorry" she said seeing him in the corner, she went and hugged him tightly, his hands immediately reciprocated, then she faced him.
" listen I'll make it up to you" she cupped his face, and then lowered her mouth,  sucked and kissed his bottom lip. He nodded. Then she left his embrace, and he was already missing her petite frame in his arms.
Shortly Kartik followed in to the bar again, he could see Salil holding her hand whilst talking with guests. 'Look at him flaunting her like some trophie' he was feeling jealous a feeling which was rare but reoccuring , the next day was the engagement everyone was busy at the venue the engagement was midway, everyone went for lunch.. Naira was going with her sisters, she felt her arm being pulled.
"Aree" she said.
"Shh" he said removing his hand.
" uff sherni you are looking gorgeous in this sari" she blushed at his compliment. She was wearing a hot pink sari with cap sleeve blouse, her hair open with slight waves..
" you are looking too hot in this shervani" she looped his neck, he placed his hands on both sides of her waist with a big smile.
"Now spend some time with me, pata hai na I've hardly seen this beautiful face" he said whilst caressing her cheek.
" aww" she said then hugged him tightly.he sniffed her hair inhaling her fragrance holding her close.
"Listen I better go before.. she said stopping the hug, mid sentence she was stopped by his finger pressed on her lip.
"No, now that I have you" he pulled close his chest. "I'm not letting you go" he angled his face.
"Di, Naira di!" Someone called.
"That's Kavya I better get going incase someone sees" she said coming out of his embrace
"But.." he said seeing her move fast. "I'm coming Kavi!" Then  she stopped mid way, and turned to him he was looking to the ground, in a few seconds he felt her grip on his shoulder, and her hot breath tickle his ear as she whispered
 "see you later tonight in my room I will make it up to you then,I love you" she finished, he smiled hearing her words. She kissed his cheek lovingly and then left with a smile. Kartik smiled to himself happy with her offer and words. He touched his cheek.
" love you shreni, bas jaldi yeh engagement khatam hojaye, and you are in my arms baby" he said.

After lunch everyone was taking photos, and this was really where Kartik was feeling the absence of her. Arjun and Arohi, Salil and Naira were all in couple type shots with the main couple. " done"  said the photographer.
"What a beautiful couple they make" Kartik felt a chill down his spine.
"D-dadi" he said.
" hmm Salil and Naira ki Jodi looks the types of he will always be there to protect her.."
"I thought you didn't like her..
" you work close with her, tell me she good choice for Salu?" He was quiet just watching his Naira.
"Hmm the best" he said admiring her from a far. Dadi looked at him with  suspicious eyes,
" really so you get on well?" Kartik stop staring at her and acted normal.
" hmm.. yeah just like all my colleagues Naira works hard, if you'll excuse me" be said making a quick exit.
"Good Kartik only best for my salu" smile dadi.

" Change of plans my love hurry up I can't wait for you any longer.." he got up from his bed, and walked a little his heart skipped a beat seeing her descending steps coming, their eyes locked.

"Ouch!" Naira yelled, her face covered in pain, olding Kartik noticed and saw the pain on her face, he started pacing towards her, he felt his heart pain seeing her like that.
" tum theekh to ho, mein" he was about to bend and  hold her foot.
"Naira kya hua" Salil came running and held her foot.
"Main theekh hu" she lied.
"Its swollen you need ice" said Arohi.
"I'll get you some"said Kartik
"No need Kartik you go to bed I have got this" he said.
"Its no trouble.. said Kartik
"Its ok her Pati is with her" said the older lady.
" dadi"  smiled Salil.
"Exactly come Naira" he held her hand and helped her to walk.. Naira saw Kartik's face but got distracted by everyone.
"What happen di"
"Jiju please ab goudi mein uthalo"
"No its ok I can walk" she said
"No Naira come on how will you walk "  he just carried her up. Kartik watched on and for the first time he felt the difference, 'really you have no right on her, your not  married to her and lawfully Salil is and he is taking care of her when she needs him he is there for her when  it counts are you?'
His mind reflected, he shook his head and left.

" it's ok, I'm fine guys" said Naira feeling irritated she just wanted to be left alone, shortly everyone left. "What I planned and what happened", she was feeling annoyed with her self it was late and the painkiller made her drowsy and she fell asleep.
The next day everyone woke up lazily, as e everyone was flying back, Kartik saw her briefly and their eyes met, but his expression was not readable.

"I hope he isn't annoyed with me.. nevermind I will make his mood better" she smiled, confident she can appease him. "Even better he wants to meet me in his room" she said seeing the sms.
 She saw him and hugged him from the back.
"Sorry baby, about yesterday I really wanted to see you" he held her sweet soft hands in his. Listening to her cute vocals.
"Listen if you want we can fly back together and..
"Naira stop" he said, holding her hands he turned to her.
"What's wrong"
"This all of it, we can't continue this" he said 
"What, but you.. so what was that last night huh?" He was quiet he didn't know what to say.
"I love you" she said  his eyes softened seeing her tears. "Naira" he said softly
"please don't cry..come here" she shook her head.. he pulled her reluctant frame and hugged her.
"I love you too, so much" then he cupped her face.
"but I can't stand seeing you with Salil when he is close to you it makes my blood boil and.."
"But you know there is nothing from my side" she sniffed. He wiped her tears.
"I know but even then Salil is better than me, he can give you a good life, and you know my track record you sure you will be able to trust me always" Naira let go of him.
"These are just excuses, you lied to me and I stupidly believed you" he sighed, he gripped her shoulders.
"Naira please I didn't lie look at me, I really love you" she didn't want to listen anymore, she went to leave.
"Kartik please!" She said stopping him from speaking.
"Ahh!" She screamed.
"Baby tum dhyan rakho" he went down to her injured foot.
"I'll manage and I've decided I'm leaving working with you" he looked up with vulnerable eyes, but didn't argue.
"ok if that's what you want" 'he is just agreeing with me, I didn't expect this from you Kartik' she didn't utter a word she went to open the door.
"Dadi is right Salil is best for you but just for the record I meant what I said with all my heart" Naira registered his words.
"Naira di there you are come in the hall"  Naira nodded. "I'm just coming you go"
"No di, please" she held her hand taking her along, for second she turned to meet his eye.
"Di chalo na"  Naira nodded and left from there.

Kartik entered his house. "Beta your home already?"
" hmm I took the early flight" he said.
" oh why, I spoke to your bua everyone is leaving later"
" work papa, um if you need me I will be in my room.
" ok beta"
Meanwhile Naira was looking for Kartik, "Kartik sorry I didn't listen properly and hastily said I'm leaving my job with you, but I didn't mean it, kaha ho tum, I want to see you" she pouted.
"Vikaa where is your um brother?" She asked casually.
"He left he took an early flight"
"Ohh ok.." she replied. 'I guess I made the right decision of leaving work he doesn't care or if he does he doesn't show it well'

That evening Naira flew back with the others, she didn't go work the next day , she told everyone her foot is hurting but never said she has decided to leave work so no one knew the truth. Her and Kartik hadn't seen each other since 3 days. Savitri decided to keep a Puja at home  for Salil's recovery.
