Kartik's room

"Mendak..it must be late" she was asleep on him her cheek resting on his chest.

"ok" she said in a small voice she took her stuff and went in his ensuite he got ready in the guess room.

"Beta there you are come" she said as Kartik came into the kitchen

"Oh wow pancakes yes" he said

"Your mumma said its your favourite"

"Pancakes with chocolate sauce and whip cream meri Sherni ka favourite" he said with a bright smile.

"Naira what's wrong?" Pancakes dekh kar tum excited nai ho?"

"Juice bhi pilo" he placed the glass to her lips and she drank it, Kartik caressed her head whilst she drank. she looked through her glass and smiled.

"Bas" she said as the drink finished.

"Ok so next week is soon..

"Shayad..anyways I should go before papa checks my room and Kartik Tisha ko jo problem hai with me tell her to meet me we should resolve it"

"I think it is resolved she was normal downstairs"

"What a bitch what does she think of herself" she said then went upstairs to get ready but her mood was irked she cancelled on Rahul and did dance practice instead.

A few days passed and Kartik's birthday came his mumma threw him a birthday party.

"Kartik come on cake cut karni haina?"

"Mumma Naira ka no message no call kuch bhi nai and not just today I haven't seen her these last few days and for her birthday I came especially but for mine she didn't even send a birthday wish"

"Its not like her at all..said Suvarna because of all the guests were there he had to continue the party but the next day after work ended he went over.

"I said eww Kartik I said I have seen him pick his nose, burp and sab kuch ..crazy she is thinking this na..

"Is it I don't think it's that crazy" he said

"Kya chup kar mendak"

"Ok your right and I forgive you for not attending my party but gift to lekar rehunga so you better

"But we should see I guess..

"See..what birthday gift?"

"ok we already hug and do kissie on the cheek so.." he said

"A peck on the lips" she said which wasn't a proper kiss but still closer than a cheek one.

"ok" he said he was standing on the other side of the room there was just silence and a stare of nervousness.

"Come here then mere samne"  she said breaking the awkwardness.

"We need to find out for ourselves before we continue with other relationships"

"by the way my rishta is over Rahul broke it off "

"Its his loss" he said cupping her chin.

"Stop this soft tone and setting a romantic atmosphere" she grabbed his face and put her lips on his.

"Mendak you ok?" He put a thumbs up as he was leaving her room a few hours passed.

Kartik came home.

"Beta Tisha's mumma has set a engagement date"

"Great tell them yah" he said racing upstairs and then headed to the office after a hectic day he came home around 10:30pm got changed ready to sleep.

"Naira?" Tum yaha?" He said seeing her in his room she was in her white joggers and black tank top with her hair open looking very down.

"Kartik woh..she started crying he raced over and held her by the shoulders she looked so vulnerable and lost "kya hua?" He said but she wouldn't speak "Naira" he cupped her chin

"Your scaring me please kuch to bol" he said

"Papa ka car accident hogaya" he said crying more and he took her in his arms and hugged her. "I have already lost mumma" she sobbed hugging him making his t-shirt wet.

"Sorry" she said coming out of his arms and sat on his bed.

"Tumhe itni raat ko disturb kiya you must be tired and here mein apne problems"

"Chup get up!" He said in a stern tone she did so he sat down "come here" he said he sat her down on his lap she naturally encircled his neck he held her waist so she doesn't fall off. "now listen to me you can never disturb me ok" she nodded but was looking down.

"Hey" he tugged her chin now she was facing him "and your problems are my problems you can share anything with me no matter how tired I am I will always have time for you"

"What if he does Kartik what if like mumma woh bhi.. she cried again he rubbed her back.

"Sherni kuch nai hoga use he is strong just like you" but she shook her head "gripping his nape.

"But I am strong" she wiped her eyes with her free hand "deep down i am terrified of losing people"

"Naira, Naira! Kuch nai hoga aur mein hu na" he said wiping her tears.

"Promise?" She asked he nodded "hmm" moving the loose strands out of her face.

"Promise" their eyes started locking..

"I didn't know.." her eyes travelled to his lips "that one peck would..now his eyes did too.

"Would What?" he said cupping her cheek her hand softly caressed his nape, seeing her hesitation he made the 1st move and put his lips on hers, she slowly broke it her expression read confusion to him but the gaze thereafter was so intense and she cupped his face and touched her forehead to his, their eyes met and they kissed again and this time it was a proper one they couldn't get enough of each other their heads were turning in angles as the kiss became deeper.
