"Its crazy how we were looking for life partners for each other when..

"We had it right in front of our own eyes why we didn't act on this before we obviously get each other, know everything there is we are kindred Spirits" she said in a mature tone whilst cupping his chin.

"Exactly" he whispered "sorry it was wasn't the best proposal..

"Shh" she pressed her finger to his lip "it was beautiful  I love you Mr fiance " she said leaning in..

"Love you wife to be" he said as he brushed his lower lip to her top one, their breaths were mingling untill they sealed their mouths over each others kissing celebrating that they are engaged now they kissed for sometime stood in that heart of petals.

"One more" he pecked her lips to which she smiled pecking his lips too.

 "that was nice can you believe hum shaadi karne wale hai hum"

"Life is full of wonderful surprises baby" he carried her up bridal style

"Where are we going?" She asked encircling his neck and then kissed his cheek.

"Suhaag raat karne" she smacked his arm "ouch" he chuckled

"Kya we are engageed soon to be married so...its normal hota hai before marriage" Naira's cheeks went red.

"Filhal dinning room mein I have something for you" he entered the room and placed her down.

"Close your eyes"

"More gifts? See now I am feeling bad I haven't got you anything" she pouted

"Kya yaar ese maat bol mujhe accha lagta hai i love showering my Sherni with gifts now eyes close"

"Hmm closed" he sat next to her.

"Now open them" she did and saw a glass block..

"Soulmate.. this is beautiful" she wiped a tear.

"Aree sherni it's me your silly mendak don't cry" he chuckled which made her giggle.

"Haan but mendak ab fiance ban gaya"

"Come here" he said taking her in a hug he smiled hugging his sweet Sherni.

'Thank you mendak for always putting a smile on my face and being there for me' she said looking at her ring.

"Suno mendak we have to talk to our parents that we are getting married" she said he came out of her embrace.  "Hmm" he cupped her chin.

"Soon..but for now let's just enjoy being engaged to each other" he said

"Ok one more gift a sweet treat" she nodded with a smile.

"Here we go" she saw the cake

"thank God she said yes?" she laughed so hard

"Kuch bhi mendak" she kept laughing.

"Bas bas your tummy will hurt itna mat haso cuddles" he also started laughing sitting back down she turned to him  held his shoulders and he held her waist they were in fits of laughter.

"oh God.. " she said calming down

"You ok" he said caressing her cheek.

"Aur mein haan kyu nai bolti I would say yes to you in a heart beat"

" I love you cuddles"

"I love you snuggles" they leaned close and kissed

"Cake cut kare" she said

"Yes yes" they cut the cake together

"Here cuddles" he gave her a piece she fed him too they celebrated their engagement.

"Mmm that's tasty" she said

"Let's go chill in the front room" she nodded and they went and sat on the sofa he lazily rested his head on her shoulder.

"Mera mendak" she held him around the waist he moved his head on her chest resting his cheek on it.

"What you thinking?" She said whilst ruffling his hair

"Future ke sapne" he replied

"accha mujh ko bhi dekhna" he sat up

"ok close your eyes"

"Hmm" she did

"Ok so we just got married"

"Hmm" she smiled he gazed lovingly at her.

"Phir..

"Phir?.phir..haan phir I lift your ghunghat

"ok.."

"Yah so now I locked the door" he made locking sound "then I see my gorgeous wife sitting on bed. "Now I lift your ghunghat and I kiss you here" he kissed her eye lid "then here" he said kissing the other one.

"Then" he said fanning her lips with his hot breath he was really close

"Then..?" She asked waiting for him to kiss her "then..we.." he said slowly taking her bottom lip into his mouth,a few soft kisses they shared she slowly came closer he pulled her on to his lap as the kiss grew.

"No one is home..stay the night?" He asked her which she broke the kiss to.

"Um..tonight?" He nodded

"Yah like old times like you have been"

"What share a bed"

"Yes our usual thing" he said

"I can't.. she sat getting off his lap.

"You can..your over thinking we have done this before"

"Yah but that was different..she explained.

"Nothing has changed"

"Yes we were friends purely platonic but now we are sharing more than just sleep at night"

"it's just a hug and kiss"

"Yeah but hugs and kisses lead to more and I.. he cupped her cheek.

"Want to..?" He asked her with wide eyes.

"Yes, no I don't know what I am saying but controlling around you is getting harder" he held her hand.

"Then don't control behne de baby.. he said into her neck kissing it.

"Hey it tickles.." she said running her nails across his nape.

"Hmm but that feels nice what your doing" he said

"So does this.." she said feeling his continued kisses. "But we should wait.." he came up

"Hmm it will be special for both of us" she nodded

"Yes mendak" they hugged with smiles on their lips.

"Accha suno" she said holding him around the back.

"Hmm bol" he said whilst caressing her nape.

"My family will come talk with yours after I tell papa we are serious about this relationship" he touched his forehead to hers.

"I can't wait" he said

"Me either. sherni and mendak ki shaadi" she said which they then laughed at.

"Its getting late papa will be wondering why I am taking so long here"

"Hmm you go I'll speak to you later" she got up and looked around at the set up then at her beautiful ring.

 "I love you and I loved the proposal such a romantic you are" he smiled and took her in his arms.

"Its you who has brought out these feelings in me my zindagi"

"Mein tumhari zindagi hu?" She asked playing with his ear.

"Haan koi shak?" She shook her head and cupped his chin.

"Listen what will you eat for dinner shall I make you something before I go?"

"Don't worry mumma has prepared some dishes I'll  be ok you go and speak to your dad about us"

"ok and if you need anything at all call me"

"sherni this is us..

"I'll drop the formal tone"

"Yes good..now give me a kissie" he said whilst holding her waist they said bye and then she left with her gifts.

The next day Kartik came home from work and went to his room he saw a box on the bed.

"Yeh kya hai.. he opened it and smiled "happy engagement mendak my love my fiance these something's for you" Kartik opened the box and saw his gifts from her

There were 4 in total he straight away called her up.

"Hi baby" she answered oh her voice sounded even sweeter

"Zindagi yeh sab kya hai"

"Gifts hai for my fiance mendak snuggles!" He chuckled

"Listen I'll talk to papa now and then call you later" she said

"Hmm I can't wait to make you my wife" he smiled

"Same.. to be hubby" she said

"Haaye hubby, husband aur kya names?"

"Baad mein I'll tell I'm glad you liked the gifts love you"

"I love you zindagi" he said she smiled then they said bye..

Naira walked downstairs but the next few seconds were going to change her future entirely she didn't have a clue

"papa!" She screamed running down "kya hua" he had fallen down and hit his head Naira comforted him the best she could she called the ambulance too..

"Papa shall I get you something there is no blood thank God but please don't sleep the ambulance is coming they said its important to keep you awake and  conscious" she cradled his head in her lap.

"Hmm beta listen to me princess I don't think I will survive by the time they reach here" Naira's eyes widened with shock and fear.

"Papa esa maat bolo you will be fine"

"Beta please" he held her hand.

"Before I go..I have to make sure you will be looked aftered..

"Papa" she sobbed "where is the damn ambulance!"

"Princess look at me I love you I have loved being your papa I have r-request..a-list w-ish Naira wiped her tears and just played along in total denial.

"ok but you will be f-

"Marry Rahul he will look after you his mother is great you won't want for anything..

"Papa mein Kar-..hello papa aankhe kholo kya hua papa!!" She screamed just then the doorbell rang the ambulance finally came.

"He is here" she called them and waited but there was no point Naitik was pronounced dead in a matter of seconds.

"Sorry he is no more"

"No he is I just talked  with him check him again!" She demanded

"is there anyone else you shouldn't be alone"

"I'll be fine but papa ko wake karo"

"He had an I internal bleed on the brain he would not have made it sorry there is nothing more we can do" Naira couldn't believe it she was devastated her papa has left her for good. The paramedics told her they will be in touch but nothing registered in her mind she just felt numb!

"Sherni ke ghar ambulance" Kartik saw them leaving he quickly rushed in the house and saw Naira.

"Sherni?" He said seeing her on the ground clutching her knees.

"Kartik papa.. he came to her level.

"Papa yes?" But she couldn't speak further..then he remembered seeing the body bag.

"Nai Zindagi..please don't say.. she nodded as she was confessing his worst fear too.

"Woh nahi rahe he is dead!" She sobbed he took her in his arms

"Naira oh God Naitik uncle" they both cried. "Papa" she cried he pat her head trying to comfort her.

Two weeks passed after this incident

"Zindagi? he said seeing her come through his window.

"Sorry I wanted to give you space for the passed 2 days that's why I haven't been in touch also work is damn hectic and-"

"Thanks Kartik you have really been great through these tough days I will never forget it"

He walked forward "hey..no matter what I'm here for you and so is my family " she nodded.

"I know..dadi is home on her own I'll come talk with you tomorrow" she said

"Talk..we need to why?" He asked but she was mum.

"Sherni" he held her arms listen I spoke to mumma about us next month we will get married you will smile again" he told her.

"mendak..she said in a soft tone and held his waist resting her cheek on his chest.

"I promise you my zindagi my love"
