He had a happy life. Had a loving girlfriend Momo Yaoyarozu. But that all changed. Ivan sacrificed himself to stop Shigaraki. But. At the cost of his life. Then he got Reincarnated by Ymir Fritz. As the first Demon King/ Demon God Titan.
