Imagine Kai having a nightmare.

"Y/n!" is the first thing that I hear that scares me as I get up from the bed to find Kai covered in sweat and tears coming down his face.

I walk over to him and gently shake his shoulder to try to wake him up and he starts to mumble random things "y/n I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I couldn't save you... I couldn't save you".

"Kai wake up, its just a dream, I'm okay" I whisper to him as I run my fingers though his hair and I shake his shoulder again.

Nothing that I'm doing is working, he won't wake up and it's worrying me.

"Kai, please wake up" I say one more time before he starts to thrash around on the bed as he sobs.

I get on top of him and I hold his head against my chest and his breathing begins to slow down and I sigh in relief.

"W.What happened" I hear Kai say and I pull his face up so I can look at him "you were having a nightmare and you were talking in your sleep about how you were sorry that you couldn't save me then you started to thrash around on the bed" I say and I wipe some of his tears from his eyes.

"Do you want to go back to sleep?" I ask as I start to get off of him but he holds me in place "please stay" he says and I run my fingers through his hair.

"I won't leave you" I say and I kiss his forehead. I lay beside Kai and he puts one of his arms around my shoulders and the other around my waist.

"I'm sorry if I woke you up" Kai says after awhile of silence and I wrap my arms around his neck "it's okay" I say and he places his hands on my face and I look up at him "I don't know what I would do without you y/n" he says and he kisses my forehead.

"Don't you want to go back to sleep?" I ask as I sit up against the headboard "no, I want to stay up with you" he says and he lays his head on my lap and I run my fingers through his hair.

"Do you know how much I love you?" Kai asks as he takes my hands in his "I'm pretty sure I know how much you do, you show me everyday with your words and actions" I say and he smiles at me "I love you Kai" I say And he sits up to bring his lips to mine.

After awhile Kai fell asleep as I was running my fingers through his hair and I fall asleep shortly after being wrapped in Kai's arms, know that he would do anything to protect me and keep me safe.
