-------

Two months had passed since then and it had happened.

Tanaka perfectly did the quick attack, leaving everyone in shock whilst Hinata congratulated and thanked him.

"Wow, that was amazing Tanaka-Senpai!" Hinata cheered as he ran over to Tanaka, tears starting to build up in his eyes "Thanks lil' Hinata!" Tanaka said back, the tingle in his hand from hitting the ball making him feel unstoppable..just like how Hinata felt.

"No, thank you Tanaka! Thank you, so much!" Hinatas voice was cheery yet pain filled, his smile wide but hiding his frown.

Now he could finally leave.

"I- um...you're welcome?" He said back, part of him wanting to ask why whilst the other part of him was too busy feeling empowered from the sudden urge on energy. Hinata nodded back at him before shouting "Kageyama, Tanaka, again!" To which they continued to do that and many other quick attacks for the rest of the practise.

By the time the session was over Hinata had already retreated to get his clothes to get changed in the bathroom before anyone else, it's not like anyone ever noticed he was gone in the first place. They never noticed anything about him.

The fact that he only ever wore long sleeves or jerseys.
The fact that he was only ever there for parts of the practise.
The fact that he always had bags underneath his eyes.
The fact that bruises continued to build up on his legs, bruises that obviously weren't from volleyball.
The fact that he'd come to and leave school crying.

Ennoshita was more relevant than he was for fuck sake.(A/N I love my baby Enno, he is underrated and deserves more love sksk)

Which is exactly how he wanted it.

As Hinata was leaving the school he heard familiar voices behind him, the entire volleyball team decided to leave as a group today..great.

He was going to send a message in their group chat before he did it, but he guessed that no one would see it if he did, so it was now or never for him.

Hinata stopped in his tracks, turning around to see them all walking together and laughing in a big group...something he used to be a part of...Yet he couldn't even picture himself with them anymore.

"H-hey, guys? Can-can I say something real quick?" He asked when they got close enough to hear, to which Daichi heard and nodded, getting them all to shut up and listen to him. Sugawara elbowing or jabbing anyone that didn't.

Hinata took a shaky breath, his whole body basically trembling yet his smile never faltered, nor did his voice "I-I just wanted to say thank you. For everything all of you have ever done for me. I- The moments that I've had with all of you have been the best of my life and I will never forget them or any of you, you've all helped change me for the better and I will forever be grateful for that."

Most of them had a confused look on their faces whilst Nishinoya and Tanaka were practically crying "OHH- LITTLE HINATA~ WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU OUR LITTLE KOHAI!" They cried out, which got everyone else laughing.

When Sugawara managed to catch Hinatas eyes he mouthed the words "Are you okay?" To which Hinata just shook his head and mouthed "I haven't been for a while" But it was too far away and too quick for Sugawara to read or understand them properly.

"A-anyways..I've got to go now before I miss my bus. I love you all, so much, you're all like the family I wish I had. Never change, even you- Tsukkishima, Kageyama. You're both dicks but there's no one else on this world as amazing as you guys."(He earned an insult from the both of them for that, but it's all fun and games) His eyes started to tear up to which he sighed and started to turn around "Thank you, all of you, for everything...May we meet again." And with that he started walking away,

The ones with a brain thought it was a weird way to say 'see you tomorrow', but they didn't say much about it to each other, just thinking it was Hinata being his weird self.

All but one.

Kageyama didn't like it, how Hinata said goodbye- it reminded him of what people on a show would say to each other before they went and did something that would almost always kill them. Like the scene in some show about having to stay up in space for 90+ years then sending 100 criminals down to the ground to see if the Earth was habitable again, Clarkes father said it to her just before he was floated.

That's besides the point, Kageyama knew something was up and it scared him. So he excluded himself from his group of friends with a sudden bow before sprinting to the bus stop in attempt to make it before the bus arrived.

"H-Hinata-!" He called out when he saw the familiar boy sat at the bus stop and picking at, what looked like, a zebra crossing of cuts along his forearm.

When Hinata heard the familiar voice he quickly pulled up his sleeves and sat up straight "K-kageyama-? What're you doing here? You should be with the othe-"

"What are you planning to do, Boke?" Kageyama interrupted him, taking everything in him to not glare at the shorter boy, completely forgetting about what he just saw.

Hinata looked at him wide eyed, his face holding an expression of confusion "What are you t-" "Don't bullshit me, Boke! 'May we meet again' I know you know what that fucking means so don't even. You better not go and do something stupid, you got that, Hinata?!" He snapped at him, tears starting to build up in his eyes.

The red haired boy just smiled, looking over at the bus that just arrived he patted Kageyamas back as he got on the bus then looked back at him "I wish you the best of luck with Kiyoko, Kageyama-Kun" His voice sounded calm, but too calm- a hint of pain in it if you listened closely.
And that's when he said it
"Ai gonplei ste odon, Mebi oso na hit choda op nodotaim." (A/N if you know, you know *cough* The 100 *cough*)

Those were Hinatas last words to Kageyama, both of them having watched the show together because no one else they knew were interested in watching it, Kageyama knew exactly what it meant.

He was going to die.

But he couldn't of possibly heard him correctly, right? The bus was already moving so there was no chance, in no way- it wasn't possible. Hinata couldn't die, right?
Yeah, right.
He was just being delusional.
Stupid Kageyama, trying to start shit again.
He just heard it wrong, Hinata was fine.
Probably just cat scratches on his arm, or dirt.

And with that, Kageyama made his way back to the group then back home, basically dragging his feet alone with him.
