Hinata smiled as he walked along with Kageyama, the both of them talking about random nonsense. "Y'know, you're not too bad, Kageyama-Kun" Hinata said with a smile, the winter breeze messing up his hair even more than it already was, sending chills down his spine.

"What-?" Kageyama asked, confused as to why Hinata suddenly said that, his clothes getting pushed around by the breeze and inflating slightly.

"When we first met, I thought you were an asshole. Always pushing everyone around, demanding things go your way..Then when I hit your set, it's like something clicked." Hinata paused for a second as his gaze shifted to the floor, the wind making him shiver slightly 'I knew I should've worn warmer clothes..' "From then on, even though we argued all the time..I didn't want to be apart from you. Yeah, you're scary, mean, and are reeally egotistical- but without either of those traits you wouldn't be Kageyama." A smile rose to his face as he spoke, Kageyama continuing to look at him with a confused expression.

"What I'm saying is..I'm glad that you're you, Kageyama-Kun. As much of an asshole you are, I'd still pick you over anyone. Because there's no one else I'd like to play volleyball or do my spikes with" Hinata finished with a smile, finally looking up at Kageyama. He had a light blush just under his eyes and on his nose, probably from how cold he was.

Kageyama took a second to process what Hinata was saying, nodding in response "Y-you're not too bad yourself..Hinata." He wasn't good with his words, but Hinata already knew that so this was all he could've wanted to hear in that moment.

The red haired boy went to speak again but for interrupted by a shiver, squeezing his eyes shut as he hugged himself "Oh boy it's cold" He said with a chuckle, an unimpressed expression on his face.

When Hinata said that Kageyama started taking off his sweater, passing it to Hinata "H-here."

Hinata looked up at him, confused as to what's possesed Kageyama for him to act so..so kind? "Okay who are you and what have you done with the real Tobio Kageyama, hm?" He teased, taking the sweater and putting it on anyways.

Kageyama just blushed, looking away from him in embarrassment "H-hey you asshole! No one's done anything to me-! Just I'm not cold and you fucking are, alright?!" He snapped at him, crossing his arms over his chest

The smaller boy just giggled, playfully elbowing the taller ones side "I was just messing, Kageyama-Kun!" He said with a smile "Thank you"

In that moment, when Kageyama looked back down at Hinata, a corner of his mouth pulled itself into a small smile. "B-besides..It looks better on you than it does me anyways.."

Hinata blushed, burying his face into the sleeves of the sweater. "N-not true!" He squeaked out, taking a moment to collect himself before speaking again "I- let's just go back now. I don't want you catching a cold so you can't play tomorrow!"

Kageyama nodded, the both of them turning around and walking back to the bus stop to go their separate ways.

Whilst they were on the bus Hinata looked over at the sleeping Kageyama and sighed, forcing his tears to hold back just a while longer

'If only you knew how much I liked you..'

aaaaaaaaaaa here's the first chapter- I know it's short, sorry! Most of them are because, fun fact, this was originally a oneshot I wrote but decided it was too long for a oneshot so I've turned it into this! :)

So I've had to split it all up into short parts like this to make it an okay-ish book. Some chapters will be longer and some chapters will be shorter, but either way I hope you all enjoy!
