6: The AU handbook

I HAVE A GOOD IDEA FOR THIS CHAPTER-
Now, to write it.

Ink's POV

"GUYS LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" I heard someone shout as I jumped out of my seat.

"LEN! You spooked me!!!" I told him, annoyed that he didn't knock first.

"I'MSORRYBUTIFOUNDABOOKTHATCANTELLUSEVERYTHING-"

"LENNARD KAGAMINE! Slow. Down." Rin said, trying to calm her brother down.

"Okay, okay. It's just that I found a book in the library,"

"So?" Rin cut him off, and Len just gave an unamused look at her.

"And it says something about AUs!"

"Len, can I read it?" I asked.

"Yeah, okay. The only thing I find weird about it is that it appeared in a flash of light."

"Like Broomy!" I added a bit childishly.

I put an arm out, asking for the book, and Len dropped it on the table next to me. I glared at him and picked up the 'Alternate Universe Handbook' and opened it, gasping at the first words.

"To, Ink Canvas." I read aloud.
"You'll need this. From, Dream Sans."

My siblings gasped at the fact that someone gave this to me, knowing that I needed info.

"How?" Len asked himself.

I shrugged, confused myself. I summoned a bone and spun it in my skeletal hands. You might be thinking, 'BUT INK, WHERE DID YOU LEARN MAGIC???' I can answer that.

One day I was bored, and I randomly summoned a bone without knowing.

Great, all of this is driving me to talk to myself.

"Ink, please put the bone away." Rin asked me. How did I respond? Well...

"INK!!!" Rin shouted after I playfully threw the bone at her head softly, like a flick to the head but from far away.

Len and I giggled until Rin performed a 'counterattack'.

She threw it back at my head, causing me to move out of the way.

And it hit Len.

"Oh, I will get you for that. Both of you."

"Run, RUN, RUN!!!" I shouted at Rin as we sprinted towards different directions in the mansion.

This continued on with whoever didn't have the bone to run away, otherwise you would get a bone to the head. We eventually stopped when everyone got tired.

"Now, I'm going to read my book." I told my siblings, exhausted. "Please don't disturb me."

"But we want to read it too!" My sister told me with a cute look. Don't do it Rin...

"And I did find it, so I should at least be around." My brother exclaimed.

"Alright, alright." I sighed, opening the book to the first page.

The book was talking about different... Worlds,  that existed and contained different versions of myself. Apparently, the original universe was Undertale, and my AU, as they call it, was Inktale.

But nothing noted anything about any AU like ours, except for some where my friends took the roles of certain people. Like Vocatale, where Rin is me!

Apparently, I was supposed to have a brother, but I guess when...  the 'disaster' happened to my AU, he wasn't born yet.

I also learnt that each 'Sans' could teleport and use special bone attacks, including using the skull of an animal of some sort as a blaster.

"Man, I wish I could do that." I told my siblings after reading this new information.
Pointing at Rin, I said
"Even you can use those blasters in the other AU!"

"Gaster Blasters, Ink. At least that's what the book says. And if you are a Sans, then you can use them too! Just try!" Was the reply Rin gave.

I focused my magic that I used for my bones, and summoned something-

A blue bone.

"Rin, I don't think this is what you meant but..."

Suddenly, Len snatched the book  from me and pointed at a page with the same blue bone. The title of the page was 'Blue attacks', and I realized that they can't hurt you if you don't move.

The parallel page was talking about 'Orange attacks', which were blue bones but reversed.
I focused again and thought about movement, and after many failed trys, I succeeded.

"Yes!" Rin shouted after giving me many tips and suggestions to try to make it happen.

"So, I can do this now!" I exclaimed as I aimed the bone.
Launching it at a walking Len, I cheered as it just... phased through Len with no damage done.

Spawning a blue bone, I asked Rin not to move, and she obeyed.
I threw the bone at her, and like with Len, it just passed right through her like a ghost.

"These bones are fun to play with!" I said as I realized someone threw a blue bone at me.

I froze, and noticed that it was Rin.
"You really want me to throw bones at you, don't you?" I asked as we both laughed.

Len had already walked out of the room, so I had no idea where exactly he was.

"I'm going to study more, okay?" I asked Rin as she nodded and decieded to stay with me.

Well.
The idea will be in the next chapter. (Hopefully) so have a random chapter I didn't know I would write.

And I promise I will try to give Rin an important part.
