Ragini rolled her eyes and nodded her head in a NO again. “Please please please” Diya kept pleading her twin sister. “Remember the time I saved you?” Diya asked and Ragini looked thoughtful. “Have you?” she pointed her looks at Diya who scratched her head trying to remember an incident.

“The time you came late and I manage to pull it on me” her face lighted up. “That was because you played with the steering wheel and we hit a car and when I went to apologize you left me on the road” Ragini stopped as her first meet with Sanskar flashed. She shook her head to get out of his thoughts.

“The one night when you left me and I came late in the night but still I did not tell mom that you were also involved in it” Diya pouted cutely. Ragini turned to her. “Really? And we were out also for your assignment and I have to convince that dracula that his cheek is not a parabola. Gosh what the heck is this parabola. I don't even have slight idea” she said annoyed.

“See. I am giving you a golden chance to learn it twin sister. You can finally get enlightened” she stretched her arms smiling widely. “Nope” Ragini pushed her hand and walked away. Diya sat with a sad pout.

“You don't love me do you?” she asked lowly. Ragini huffed. “Wow. Finally you realized it” she took her phone and plugged the ear plugs and played the song.

“If I was queen of good times I would have changed my twin sister's life too. But what to do I am trouble maker. Even if I want to help my sister I end up screwing everything” she said and looked down. Ragini gave in. She threw the ear plugs and took the books in Diya's hand. “Fine. This is going to be the last time. Did you get that?” asked Ragini and Diya jumped up to hug Ragini and drooled happy. “You are the best sister in the world” she said excited. “I know this will be valid only till your work is done” she nodded her head walking out.

They reached the college and the classes went on as usual. It was the time of dance classes and Ragini looked at her watch. “God first of all Karan isn't dancing and I have to skip the class also. All thanks to my evil twin” she cursed under her breath.

Sanskar entered the class and all the students stood up to wish him. Ragini was in her thoughts who hardly noticed him. Sanskar looked behind a student and found her sitting. “Ms. Diya. Have you forgotten the basic manners to wish the teacher?” he asked but there was no response. Though Ragini had switched her place with Diya she was in her own thoughts when Sanskar called Diya's name.

“Ms. Diya” he said this time a bit loudly and she still did not respond. All the students moved their gazes to her. She was still looking down and lost in her own thoughts. “Diya” this time Sanskar made his voice echo. Ragini jerked and looked up and found Sanskar fuming.

She looked around her and realized that she was still sitting and had not gotten up to wish Sanskar. She slowly made herself move and stood looking embarrassed. “Damn” she cursed and looked down.

“Everyone sit down except for you” he pointed at Ragini. She was still looking down and complied. Sanskar continued with his class and Ragini had to stand full class humiliated. Tears started to form in her eyes as the time went and she remembered Sanskar's behavior last time and it pained her more than the pain in her legs.

Finally after an hour the bell rang and she got the chance to sit down. But she did not. “You can now sit down Ms. Diya” Ragini closed her eyes hearing him. The tears which were fighting in her eyes dropped down and Sanskar's heart started to pain when he saw the tear droplets.

She fast walked passing him and he controlled himself from stopping her. He looked around angry on himself. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath and walked out of the class.

“Ahhh” Ragini's ankle twisted and she was falling back when someone held her tightly. She looked up to find Sanskar and her reflexes acted quickly and she straightened herself and pushed him a bit and started to walk but her ankle was hurt. She held her leg as the pain shot up. Sanskar fumed and then approached her. He lifted her and walked towards the medical room.

He placed her on a bed and called the nurse. There was nobody. He took the first aid kit and took out the ointment. When he touched her leg to remove the heels Ragini protested but he did not give a heed to it and pushed her hand away and rubbed the ointment to her ankle. When he touched the paining spot Ragini hissed in pain and held his shoulder. He looked up at her. “Sorry” he apologized and this time gently rubbed her leg. After sometime of massage Ragini felt relieved. “Thanks” she did not looked up at him and started to walk.

“You need me to drop you?” Sanskar asked concerned. “No. Thank you. It is better if I don't get used to it” she said coldly and left the room. Sanskar stood there like a defeated man. He remembered the way he walked away from her when they shared the kiss. All his life he had never felt such kind of feeling. It was pure bliss but sadly he can't have it again.

He threw his fist in air frustrated.

Karan took deep breaths after the practice was over. “Damn. I never knew I can dance also” he said hyperventilating. Diya smiled looking at him. “I told you” she said proudly patting his shoulder. He took the sipper and gulped down the water and some of it dropped on his face. Diya looked at the smile on his face.

Has she seen anything so adorable all her life. So satisfying. She wished the time to stop and she admire him this way for forever. But the bell for the next period rang and she came back to her senses.

“What?” Karan asked her when he caught her staring him. She just nodded her head. “I got to go” she quickly took her bag and started moving from there.

“You know sunshine why do I call you sunshine?” he asked and Diya turned to him. She found him on his knees and her heart felt like it forgot that it has to beat. Her eyes boggled out and she left a deep breath which she was holding.

“Because like the sunshine makes the world beautiful the moment you entered my life it has turned beautiful. So beautiful that I am overwhelmed. I don't know what good I have ever done that I met you and what have I ever done that I got a chance to spend some moments of my life with you. Trust me every moment with you was special. You made me feel alive every second. You made me feel myself every second. Now my heart which is completely yours want to spend each second with you all life” he smiled widely and Diya's eyes started to tear.

She covered her mouth excited. The best moment of her life is right in front of her. She could not wait to start the new phase of her life. She nodded her head and Karan stood up and hugged her.

He drooled happy covering his life in his embrace. The beautiful life. “I love you... I love you...” Diya said in a cracking voice.

“I love you... I love you a lot... I love you Ragini...” the words from his mouth stopped her heart beat suddenly. Her eyes went wide and hands dropped. She stopped dead. “I so love you Ragini” he said again and Diya's heart felt as if it was stabbed several times and it felt like it was bleeding within and struggling to beat.

Karan moved back to look at her. She was too shocked to react. “Hey” he kissed her forehead and she closed her eyes letting the pain out in the form of tears.

She dragged herself away and walked from there quickly wiping her face. She could not hold her cry though she could not yelp or shout to express her pain. She cried silently not willing anyone to let know of her immense pain.

Karan looked at her confused. He wanted to go behind her but his classmates met him on the way and he had to let her go. He looked in her direction sadly not understanding what was he losing. But he had lost it already. His heart knew it but his mind was blind.

Karan walked on the hallway and found Ragini and approached her. “Hey sunshine” he placed his hand over her shoulder and Ragini who was at the verge of breaking down turned to hug him tightly. “Are you alright?” he asked bringing her face to look at.

Ragini's face had smeared with tears. “Hey sunshine please tell me what happened? You are scaring me now” he said concerned. Ragini kept weeping and then hugged him again. “I love you okay and I promise I will be there for you may whatever happen” he said and Ragini held his shirt more tightly this time. She found Sanskar watching them. “I love you too Karan. I love you too” she said looking angrily at Sanskar.

Sanskar felt he is going to fall in a deep pit where it was all dark around him. Her confessing that she loved Karan was too much for him to handle. The new feelings she brought in his heart felt like dying. He placed his hand on a pillar for the support. It did not help him from feeling that he was falling. He was falling in his own grief. Tears were at the bay but he could not drop them. He turned his face and started to walk from there with his broken heart. Did he really had one. He felt it for the first time when it broke and the pieces pierced him.

We are lucky that we got a chance to celebrate this festival. Whole Karnataka is drowning in water but for Bangloreans always water problem. 😑
Back to busy life again from tomorrow. Independence Day is on its way and got lot of work load of celebrations.
