Sanskar smiled at his cousin who was curious to know the girl who changed him not completely but at least the process has been started. “Her name is R...” “Sanky” his mother called and Sanskar sighed dropping his shoulders. “Why has she got such a good timing” he looked up annoyed and Karan chuckled. “See who has come finally” he heard his mother's voice and shrank his eyes and found Karan also having the same expression.

“I came a lot earlier” Karan shrugged his shoulder. “Who else has come seeing whom my mom will be so excited?” Sanskar patted his chin with his index finger. “Let's go down” Karan insisted and Sanskar followed him. As they were near the ground of the stair flight their eyes boggled out.

“It's a pleasure meeting you Maya” Sanskar's mother smiled coming out of the hug. Maya smiled back and looked at Sanskar and Karan who were standing like they were bitten by a snake which made their body numb suddenly.

“Hey Sanky” she winked at him and Sanskar shook his head to gain his senses. “Karan” he called out but his cousin wasn't moving. “Karan” he pinched Karan's shoulder. “Ahhh” Karan screamed and landed back to the world.

“I was in the town so thought of meeting you Aunty” Maya gave a reason while sitting beside Sanskar's mother. “That's so sweet of you beta.. You are the only sensible girl my son ever dated” his mother glared at him and he looked at her shocked. Maya blushed. “I know sensible” Karan spoke dumbstruck. “Next thing she will tell is I wish you were my daughter in law” Karan smiled weakly.

“I wish you were my daughter in law” Sanskar's mother told the exact thing. Sanskar darted his gaze to look at his cousin who looked like he had developed a special nerve which can tell fortunes. “Don't give me that look. I have seen enough drama during Arjun's marriage” Karan spoke remembering his elder brother.

“But your mom didn't get him married right?” Sanskar smiled having a small hope. “Nope. But she makes him curse himself that he  did not listen to her” Karan gave a pity look to Sanskar who gulped in scared. “That's how the mom's logic around the world work” Karan smiled and Sanskar looked up helpless.

Maya winked at Sanskar. Karan and Sanskar's jaws dropped to the ground. “She is getting freakier” Karan whispered in Sanskar's ear. “I know right” he said gulping in. An idea popped up in Karan's mind suddenly and he smiled mischievously.

“But Badi maa. It's too late now” Karan faked pity. Sanskar's mother looked at her nephew doubtfully. “What do you mean?” she asked shrinking her eyes. 'What's running in his mind?' Sanskar thought looking at Karan.

“I mean he cannot date her again” he said. “Why so? Has he changed into liking men?” his mother stood up from her place in horror. Sanskar choked and started to cough. “No... My son can't be that” she moved to Sanskar worried. She started to caress his cheek and hair. “Mom” Sanskar shouted.

“No.. I haven't turned into liking men. Alright?” he said annoyed. Karan couldn't help but chuckle at his cousin's condition. Both mother and son turned their gazes to him which made his chuckle to die down half the way. “Oh Maya. You did not tell Badi maa. That you met Sanky's girlfriend today?” Karan turned to look at Maya who now fumed glaring at him.

He smiled weakly at her as his courage was long gone. “What?” Sanskar's mother pushed her son a bit away and looked horrified. “Um.. Mom... I was about to tell you this that I like a girl. And I am pretty serious about us” he looked at his mother with hope.

“But...” his mother was not sure how to react to this. “Congratulations Son” his father walked and hugged Sanskar who reciprocated the hug happy. Then he looked at his mother. “Okay Aunty. I must take your leave now” Maya  walked from there frustrated. His mother who was staring at the direction Maya walked looked at her son.

“I thought I will have a sensible daughter in law but you had to ruin it” his mother nodded her head disappointed. “Mom” Sanskar held his mother's shoulders and she looked into his eyes. “I am sure you will have the best daughter in law of the world” he assured her and she smiled back at him. “We will see that when you make her meet us” she looked at her son.

“You mean you want me to invite her to home?” Sanskar asked excited. “Lately you are turning dumber than your father” she rolled her eyes. “Hey” his father whined. “Facts husband... facts” his mother winked at his father. “Yeah those facts has to end with me always” his father crossed his arms rolling his eyes. “Again fact” his mother patted his back and then looked at Sanskar. “Good night sweet pie” she caressed her son's cheek and walked towards her room and his father followed after giving Sanskar a hug.

“Bro... congratulations” Karan hugged his cousin. His phone ringed and he received the call. “Hey Sunshine” he spoke with a big smile. Ragini closed her eyes before answering him. “Karan I need to talk” she said determined. “Yeah tell me” he said then he looked at Sanskar. He gave a thumbs up to carry on. Karan mouthed him that he will be leaving and Sanskar nodded his head in approval and hugged his cousin. Karan searched his pocket for a key but did not found it.

Sanskar mouthed him that he will get it. But Karan stopped him and handed him the phone forgetting he was talking to Ragini and walked towards Sanskar's room. Sanskar looked at the phone confused. He did not wanted to pry but just inform the caller on the other side that Karan isn't on the call.

Before he could speak he heard the other person talking. “I am so sorry. But I can't do this anymore Karan. I... I can't be with you” his eyes went wide when he heard the words. “I thought I liked you... but the things are moving pretty fast and I am not liking it” she said helpless to find right words to convey her feelings.

“Listen...” Ragini's heart stopped beating when she heard the voice which was not of Karan. She sat dumbstruck. Diya looked at her sister confused. She asked what happened. But Ragini was in no situation to answer her.

“Hi... I am really sorry for prying but I wanted to tell you that Karan isn't here at the moment but then I heard you and couldn't stop myself. I am sorry for that” he apologized.

“I think you remember me? We met in the morning. And if you are breaking up with Karan for that reason then I am extremely sorry for whatever happened. He is bit crazy whenever he wants to protect me. He was trying to save me from the girl whom I did not like. And I am damn sorry for whatever you have to go through because of that but trust me Karan is the best person you may ever get in your life. You will be always happy with him I promise. Please don't break my brother's heart. He can't take it. You are the first girl he ever fell in love with. And you are the one with whom he has dreamed whole his future. I hope you will not give upon him...” he looked at the phone when it got disconnected.

Ragini threw the phone away and covered her ears and rubbed them trying to remove the effect his voice had on her. “Arghh...” she cried. Diya got concerned and neared her sister. Ragini hugged Diya and Diya caressed her hair.

“I hate him.... I hate him D... Why did I even met him?” Ragini cried and Diya rocked her trying to console her. “What happened Ragzee? “ Diya asked. Ragini closed her eyes and remembered every word Sanskar spoke and closed her eyes tight trying to forget.

“What happened bro?” Karan asked walking out of Sanskar's room with the key. “N...nothing” Sanskar fumbled and Karan looked at his cousin skeptical. Sanskar handed him the cell phone and smiled weakly. 'I hope Diya will rethink about her decision. I can't see Karan broken' Sanskar prayed in his mind. Karan bid him bye and walked out of the home.

Karan called Ragini's number but she did not received it for three to four times. He got worried. “Damn. What's wrong with her? Is she fine?” he started to panic. “She said she wanted to talk then what happened to her suddenly?” he sat inside the car and ignited the engine. His mind was restless.

“I need to talk to her” he turned the steering and paced towards Kapoor Mansion. He stopped the car a bit away from the home and slowly jumped inside the compound and walked towards the backyard. He analyzed the home and found a room window which was still lit. “Hopefully that's sunshine's room” he whispered and started to climb up using the ladder.

He knocked on the door of window and bent down waiting for someone to open it. He heard the window door opening and looked up to find the person he was hoping to see right now.

He stood straight and Diya fell back a bit suddenly due to his action but he held her by her waist on time and was about to fall backwards but Diya held the window firmly balancing both of them. She sighed and looked at Karan who was breathing heavily.

“What the hell?” she whispered sternly. “What are you doing here?” she asked and he let her go and held the window. “Is this how you welcome your boyfriend?” he asked and she rolled her eyes. “You haven't given me a chance to welcome. And what if anyone saw you like this?” she tucked the hair strand behind her ear and Karan stopped his eyes on her ear. Diya narrowed her eyebrows.

“Hey” she waved her hand in front of him and he landed back to the real world. “You said you wanted to talk but you weren't receiving the call” he rubbed the back of his head. “First come inside” she lent her hand and he hopped inside the room and walked around. The room was lit dimly.

“What was that you wanted to talk?” he stood facing her and she felt nervous when she found herself so small in front of him and his handsome face lit in the moon light making him look like a white chocolate. She curled her toes and looked down. “Hey Sunshine” he neared her and his closeness increased her heart beat.

How I wish Ragzee was here and told him what she wanted to tell him. But I can't do it on her behalf and moreover she might have the courage but I...' she looked up at him again at his innocent face. 'I can't see him broken. God... how I wish his heart never broke... I don't want to see him in pain.... I love him so much that I don't mind taking all his pain instead' she thought in her mind and a tear developed in her eye.

Karan worried more this time and cupped her face which made her close her eyes feeling his full warm palms against her cheeks which turned rosy heating up. “What's wrong? Tell me what's bothering you I promise I will sure change it” he touched her forehead with his and closed his eyes inhaling her fragrance.

“Did I do anything wrong? Are you upset because of me? Tell me I will change myself... All I want is you to be with me and be happy. And for that I can do anything” he kissed her nose.

Diya smiled through her tearful eyes and met his eyes. “You are perfect the way you are. Any girl will be lucky to have you in her life” she bent her head a bit. “I don't want any girl. All I want is you in my life nobody else” he neared her and she smiled. 'I wish I was the one you ever wanted. I promise I wouldn't have let you get hurt' she spoke in her mind.

“I love you... I love only you” he kissed her forehead and hugged her tight not willing to let her go. Diya felt suffocated as she was not able to let out the cry which was trapped in her chest feeling the pain he had to go through. 'Why am I not the girl you love? Why?' she cried silently.

Sanskar walked to the door hearing the calling bell. He yawned and opened the door and was dumbstruck. Ragini looked up from her hands and met his eyes. “I... I wanted to talk to you” she fumbled. He wasn't understanding how to react.

“Who is it Sanky?” he heard his mother calling from the room and her voice growing louder.

“This is the girl you said sensible? She walked to our home like it is some recreational park and you want to marry such a naive girl?”
