" Should i open the door? "

I was so excited to see her in my shirt, goddd she used to look so hot in them four years ago and now toh she's become more hotter abhi toh she'll kill me with her looks

" Manik bhai, marne ke liye tayyar ?"
My subconscious knocked, why can't he just leave me alone?

Bohot panchayti hain yeh!

" Nandini jaan! Bas khol do darwaza "
I muttered to myself, i can't control myself i want to see her right now !

Control manik ! Control! Teri hi hain!

I assured myself, I'd do anything and everything to get her back in my life!

" Manik, aa jao andar "
Okay ! Finally she's done wearing my shirt

Kitni pyaari lag rahi hogi!

I thought to myself, before slowly opening the door my eyes were in contact with the floor , i wanted to watch her sitting in all her glory 

As soon as my eyes got locked with her , i was so shocked, she looked unbelievably beautiful.... Her hair traces flowing carelessly on her shoulders, her smudged kohl, blood red beautiful lipstick..... Her slim arms which were completely hidden inside the sleeves

I again thought to myself, the look she gave me, a tired worn out look but still she looked magical with the puffiness under her ocean eyes

Agar do second aur dekha maine, toh kuch kar bethuga main!

I was sure, coz she was making me go completely mad and what made me feel more happier was she was also the mother to my child still her petite frame, her perfect hourshape waist would make boys go crazy over her

Whatt?  Not even a singke boy is allowed to even eye her! 

Like a magnetic attraction, i kept walking towards her, as i went closer i saw her legs were covered with the sheets  , her breaths were fast i could identify it

Uski pehle ki aadatein ab tak badli nahi! 

I went and stood before her, she had to raise her head up to not break the eye contact,  my hands were not in my control anymore as they automatically moved forward to cup her cheeks

" Pain nahi ho raha haina? "

I know i asked her the same question for the gazillionth time now even when i know that the answer would be no but the thought of her injuries hadn't left my mind

She nodded negatively, it was her gazillionth negative nod!

" What do you wanna eat? "

I asked and still my stubborn hands were not ready to miss out the touch of her soft cheeks

She again gave me a worn out look, leaving her body loose

" You've not had anything nandini "

Her name was like prayer to my lips, and trust me my lips love reciting her name again and again

" Kya khaogi? "

I asked once again rubbing my thumb pads gently on her cheeks bones

They are so soft! 

She nodded her head in a no and automatically her eyes filled with tears, her baby face was crying and that pained me

She immediately threw herself on myself  , her hold on my waist was extremely tight...

Kaise chup karu main aapko jaan?  Dhruvvvvvv! 

Every time she used to cry or get scared for ifra, i used to feel an urgent madness to finish dhruv but no i had to first handle her and give her tlc and I'm more than ready to love her

" Shhh!  Nandini.... Yaha dekho... Kya hua?  Aap itna kyu ro rahe ho?  See next to you... Ifra so rahi haina aaram se, wo hamare paas hain "

I tried to make her face me, i loved our hug she's hugging me after so long and that too with that tight rightful grip of hers on me

I placed my index finger under her chin and made her face me, instantly her tear filled eyes came in contact with my painful ones

I wiped her cheeks which were wet with tears, i caressed her beautiful silky hair to calm her down

Trust me!  Main nahi dekh sakta isse rote hue wo bhi dhruv ke wajah se toh bilkul nahi  !

Again dhruv's thought and ny nostrils flared as nandini's cries increased!

She was not ready to break the hug, she had just burried her face inside my tummy, not that i want her to break the hug but i had to stop her from crying

I held her shoulders and taking in a deepnbreath i tried separating her from me but she cried more and i don't want that to happen

" Nandini "

I called her politely while caressing her strawberry shampoo fragance hair once again

My fingers loved being entangled with her hair !

" Hmmm "

She murmured in between her cries

" Kyu ro rahi ho?  Kya hua hain jaan? "

I asked cause her cries were worrying me alot now and i didn't want her to faint or lower her blood pressure again

" Hamari jaan "

She just murmured and again sobbed harder

" See hamari jaan, bilkul theek hain... Look at her, she's looking so cute with that cute pout on her sleepy face "

I tried to divert her mind but no i knew, it's very difficult coz nandini was hell worried and now she was making me worried too

" Mujhe bohot ajeeb khayalat aa rahe hain manik..."

Her mere sentence and my hands which were rubbing her back started shaking but no manik you can't break, you've to be strong! 

But what she said further, made a knife cross through my heart! 

" Aisa lagta hain, le jau apni jaan ko yaha se... Chale jau los angelos, meri jaan jabse yaha aayi hain bas kuch na kuch takleef se guzar rahi hain.... She doesn't deserve this! "

As soon as nandinis wobbly lips spoke those words, my heart beats went erratic 

Main kaise jeeyunga, agar tum dononchale gaye toh? 

I went completely numb for a second, i can't imagine a life without them now....

Only if mukti and dhruv wouldn't have done what they did! 

She's a mother she'll be tensed for her baby, just like i as a father i am tensed for our little love 

"  Aisa lag raha hain,  koi hamari beti ko humse door le jana chahta tha!  "

Her lips spoke again and i felt dizzy with only the thought of it, i loosened nandini's hold on my waist and kneeled down before her, clutching her palms gently in mine i said

" Koi nahi, koi nahi le jayega!  Main zinda jala dunga uss insaan ko jo hamari beti pe aakh bhi dalega... I promise! "

I felt her sobs reducing with my words, she was just breathing fastly now and i have to calm her down anyhow!

"  Kal ganesh visargan hain nandini, kal ke din bappa apne ghar jayenge aur hamare ghar khushiyaan layenge... Hum haina ifra ke liye? Kuch nahi hoga ifra ko... "

She nodded in a yes and herself wiped her tears, she looked at me and gave me a soft smile

" Bohot aasu baha liye tumne aaj"

I said and joined our foreheads, she gave me a smile but the thing was she was not out of the trauma of losing ifra

" Ifra ko pata chalega uski mamma itna roi phir? "

I asked and finally i wasn't able to control, so attracted towards her cute nose i pecked it lightly making her shut her eyes

She gave me a shy smile and said

" Kaun batayega jaan ko ?  "

She asked with naughtiness in her voice 

" Ifra ke dadda, I'll have to complaint na?  Tum chup hi nahi ho rahi "

Finally she chuckled beautifully as i observed her hair flying all over her face

I took hold of her traces and gently pinned them behind her ears

" ifra rona shuru kar degi, mat batana....."

It was her final statement,  before she held my collars and pulled me closer, taking in a deep sigh she dipped her head inside my neck's crook and i heard her sound breathes 

I took a look at my shirt, it was all wet with nandini's tears and it has happened after 4 long years, she sleeping in my neck gave me happiness

I wanted to change but now it was a long forgotten business as i had to make nandini sleep and if I'll move she'll wakeup, so i carefully placed my head on the pillow and kept her head on my chest while her hands were still wrapped around my waist

I took our baby and placed her above my chest too, as soon as ifra's face touched nandini's, nandini gave her a peck and encircling her right arm around ifra and me she again got back to sleep

How can someone be this cute?

I pondered over something , i felt myself living.. I was just a body before nandini along with ifra entered my life again  , but now i smile, i laugh, i giggle and i express everything

This is what i always wished for, a family , a family with nandini and now when i have them with me, I'm not able to express my happiness

Thanking nandin's aiyappa , i decreased the AC's temperature and covered the three of us with duvet , i slept with a happy smile dancing on my lips as i had my happiness with me

" Plan kya hain? "

Dhruv asked as he took turns around nyonika's sitting posture while alya sat beside her

Listening to nyonika alya and dhruv too joined in and laughed dangerously

" kal ganpati visargan hain, kal hi unki jaan ( ifra) ko kuch kar dete hain "

Nyonika said and gave them a smirky look

Khabardaar jo hamari ifrajaan par aakh bhi uthayi toh.

" Par hum karenge kya?  Aapne kuch socha hain? "

Alya asked

" Alya!  Main soche bina kuch nahi karti!  Samjhi?  I've already made an absolutely amazing plan!  "

She said and gave alya a pointed look which made the situation awkward 

" But aap aisa kyu karna chahti hain? Apne hi bete ka ghar barbaad karna chahti hain?  Kyu? "

Dhruv sarcastically said with a devilish smirk which made nyonika smirk tooo

" Beta?  "

She laughed out loudly

" Maine usse apna beta kabhi dil se mana hi nahi aur agar use barbaad karne se mera ghar basta hain toh burai kya hain? "

She looked at alya and dhruv, and ended her statement with a wink

She's so cruel! 

" So are y'all interested in listening to my plan ? Aur dhruv please last time ki tarah mujhe koi bhi tarah ki gadbad nahi chahiye "

She said and literally glared at dhruv making him nod fearfully

Nyonika verbalized the entire plan to them and their reaction was worth watching, both had their mouth hung in shock

" What ? How will we enter inside?  Manik mujhe andar ghusne bhi nahi dega "

He said totally denying to nyonika's plan

"  Yes mam, aur ye bohot risky bhi ho sakta hain, agar pakde gaye toh manik will burn us alive"

Alya bit her nails in fear as she knew how dangerous manik could be

" Maine tumlogo se advice nahi mangi, the plan is made and it has to go accordingly also dhruv aaj raat aur kal subeh ke liye tum underground ho jaoge, switch off your phones too... You get me?  Tum bahar aaoge exactly shaam 5 baje "

They knew, nyonika wouldn't listen to them so having no other option they had to nod their heads positively even though they were hell scared from inside

" Cabir!  "

Navya called cabir who was sleeping with his back facing navya

" Hmmm "

He just hmmed coz he was too pissed with everyone these days

"   W.o... Woo.. Mu.... Wo "

She didn't knew how cabir would react to her statement, she was too scared and out of fear she started stammering

" Tumhe wo, mu yahi karna hain!  Toh main sone ja raha hu. "

Said cabir and pressed his face to the pillow

" Mukti.... Mukti...Sachme guilty hain... Usne mujhse kaha wo tumse maafi maangna chahti hain "

Finally fighting with herself, she spoke only to see cabir turning around and his eyes holding a look which scared everything inside navya

"  Tum dusro ki lawyer banna nahi chodogi na?  Jiski lawyer, i mean jiska saath dena chahiye tha uska toh nahi diya (he meant nandini) "

He gave navya a bad look also taunted her on not supporting nandini on the talent hunt day for her selfish reasons

Navya knew cabir was right,  and also she had nothing in her favour to retaliate so she kept quiet 

" Aur ek baat, tum!  Meri baat kaan khol ke sun lo... Ahaan mera beta hain, uspe dhyaan diya karo agar aaj ke baad ahaan mujhe mukti ke saath dikha , you'll see the worst of me aur bure logo ki wakili karna chod do "

He was mad obviously at navya for bringing mukti's request, talking to her coldly he again faced his back and went to sleep

" Muktiiiiii!  How could you?  How could you fill ahaan's ears? Baccha hain wo "

Abhi was angry as he strode around the room, shouting at mukti

Neend se uth gaya 😂

" You're shouting at me?  Just because maine ahaan ko sachai batai? "

Abhi was too shocked now, coz mukti from the start was acting way too stubborn as if she wasn't at fault at all

Abhi shouted her name as he held her shoulders and shaked her to knock some brains in her

" Tumhe koi sacchai nahi batayi hain ahaan ko okay?  Itni jealousy?  Tumhe bardaash nahi ho raha hain ki tumhara friend phirse khush ho raha hain?  Finally usse uski family mil rahi hain?  Telll me dammit "

He spoke holding her shoulderd and jerked her at the end

" Haan!  Nahi bardash ho raha hain... Suna tumne?  I don't like nandini aur uski wo bacchi, uske wajah se manik fab 5 se dur ho jata hain... I hate her from the bottom of my heart.... Suna tumne? "

Abhi was antagonized, of course he didn't like the way mukti spoke about his sister

abhi spoke everything out, which his heart wanted to speak since the time mukti started creating chaos 

Mukti sat down on the bed upset as abhimanyu called her selfish, her eyes leaked few tears! 

Mukti, accept it, you are selfishhh! 

" Tumlogo ke liye usne nandini ko choda, wo uski sabse badi bewakoofi thi.. Because you guys don't deserve a gem like manik as your friend... No!  Tch!"

He was speaking genuinely, coz he knew manik was literally a gem when it comes to friendship 

" But what did y'all give him in return?  Kya diya tum logo ne usse?  Akela chod diya?  Apni life me busy ho gaye?  And then you say manik nandini ki wajah se humse door ja raha hain "

He said and sarcastically clapped,  abhi was too mad at her , but mukti was too stubborn to understand her own mistake

" Sorry to say, ms mukti vardhan... Wo nandini ki wajah se door nahi ja raha hain...

Hakeekat toh ye hain ki usne tum logo ke asli rang dekh liye hain... Usse iss baat ka andaza ho gaya hain ki tum log kitne selfish aur matlabi ho! "

Said abhi, and the intensity his voice held was scaring mukti now, she saw him literally throwing everything in anger

He walked till the door and was about to leave but stopped to knock something more in mukti's pea sized brain

" Mukti vardhan , i warn you... Don't you dare keep anything against my sister... She was never the reason.. Y'all were the reason of their broken relationship.... Thoda dimaag lagao aur socho tumlog kitne selfish the aur selfish ho....

Tumse itna pyaar kar baitha main, ki tumahri wajah se aaj meri behen mujhse bhi nafrat karti hain, kare bhi kyu na... Tumlogo ki tarah main bhi toh galat hi hu "

Giving a sad smile at the end he walked out of the room, wiping his eyes which glistened with tears

N A N  D  I  N  I ' S     P  O  V

The night was so blissful, the way manik handled me when i cried made me smile right now at his care , worry, and concern

I found my head on something hard, i took my palms and touched to feel on what i was sleeping

Aiyappa!  I slept on his chest.... Uff nandu

I tried to reminisce last night's memory, i started getting flashes on how  i myself ended up in his neck's crook after crying

I was honestly very much scared for my baby, motherly instincts!

Jabse hum india aaye hain, ifra is just getting hurt,  what if aaj wo kaach ka chandelier meri jaan pe gir jaata wo toh uske dadda ne bacha liya....

Atleast he kept his promise of protecting ifra! 

Abhi bhi mujhe yaad hain, how his face's colour changed jab maine bola mujhe Los Angeles wapas jaana hain ifra ko leke

He literally had gone numb for a second an
d trust me i saw him not blinking and not breathing for a minute

He always says, we're the reason of his survival.....  That's the reason why he might have gone numb! 

Kal bohot kuch ho gaya, ahaan ka scene, navya ke drame, manik ka confession puri duniya ke saamne, fab 5 ka official end, hamara family dance, and sabse last meri jaan ki jaan ko khatra tha  ....

Abhi tak mujhe goosebumps aate hain yeh sochke ki manik nahi hote toh kya hota? 

My heart dances,  jab main ifra aur manik ko saath dekhti hu, wo dono kitne khush hote hain.....

Hamesha mere dimaag me ek khayal aata hain

Should i give manik another chance?  First of all am i ready for it ? Have i forgiven him?  Did i forget his betrayal?  Is he changing?  Will he always keep me and ifra with him?  Kya wo phirse mujhe dhoka dega? 

All these questions used to block my mind, but i also know waqt ke saath mujhe mere saare sawaalon ke jawaab mil jayege! 

I looked at my side to see our little bundle of joy sleeping on her dadda's chest while his and my hands were lightly wrapped around her waist 

Her morning face was magical, she used to look like a glass doll, of course my baby is one! 

I smiled to myself as i saw her pouty sleepy sticky lips, i saw her one hand holding her dadda's collar in her fists lightly and another holding my hair

She was truly a blessing, aur ye blessing humne banayi hain... Maine aur manik ne.. We created her... She's so beautiful just like her dadda !

I brought my hands upwards and played with her cherry pink lips, i then bent forward to peck them they were like her father's but they were luscious too just like mine

As soon  as i bent forward i saw manik wide awake, adoring me lovingly also not to mention his lips had a Beautiful smile

Matlab kabse he was awake? Uff nandini kuch ulta seedha toh nahi bol diya na tune?

I gave him a soft smile as he started to caress my hair gently while leaning forward and pecking my forehead which disturbed our daughter's sleep as she was shaken a bit

Manik then settled her on his chest again and pecked her forehead too which immediately made her sleep and i seperated the frown between her eyebrows

" Since when are you awake? And what were you doing? "

I asked looking directly in his captivating eyes

" I was awake since the last 2 hours and i was admiring both of you... Aakhein hat hi nahi rahi thi "
He said and i bit my lips as i didn't wanted my cheeks to go red in front of him

But no my cheeks didn't listen to me, they turned red and i got to know coz manik with his dapper smile caressed my cheeks!

" Kisne chandelier giraya tha? "

I asked all of a sudden coz my mind was still stuck there

" First have breakfast and energize yourself, then I'll tell you... Kyuki tum bohot tension lene lag gayi ho "
He said and got busy caressing our daughter's back

" Pakka bataoge? Is it nyonika this time too?  Bolo na " i again fisted his collars and pulling him towards me, i asked

" I'll tell you everything, but abhi nahi pehle aap fresh hojao"

Manik said and with the support of my elbow i sat on the bed but manik made a face secretly

Maybe he missed my head over his chest! 

I sat on the bed and took my baby in my arms who was waking up slowly slowly

Manik too woke up and all of a sudden he encircled his arms around my waist acting as if he's trying to reach ifra

Manik zyada free mat ho! 

" Mamma "

We  heard our baby's morning voice and it immediately made me and manik smile

Finally ifra baby woke up, y'all happy readers? Missed her?

" Hanjiii jaan! Good morning adora "
I said and swinged her in my arms

She smiled at me beautifully and pecked my cheeks, she then looked at her dadda who was admiring her with his chin settled on my shoulder

" Gool molning mamma dadda "
She completed her cute morning wish and rubbed her eyes

" Good morning dadda ki jaan "
He too pecked her cheeks and caressed her head

" Jaan ruko mamma kar rahi hain,  adora don't rub your eyes baby "
I held her hands gently stopping her from rubbing her eyes

I took my handbag and grabbing the wet wipes i cleaned her face, and now she was fresh ,the smile on her face said it all

" She's so beautiful, just like you" he whispered in my ears and nuzzled giving me goosebumps

Bohot zyada free ho rahe hain!

" Bhook lagi hogi na?  Itni saari ninni karli aapnein... Bohot thak gayi thi mamma ki zindagi? "

I pushed her hair backwards, while expecting her answer to be positive

" No fool "

She said and threw her face in my neck where most precisely her dadda was there observing her

"  why no food? Meri jaan? "
I asked caressing her head while she was busy playing with her dadda's hair

" Manik aap bolein ifra ko "

I said and he nodded assuring me he held our daughter

" Thola sha "  ifra murmured all of a sudden

" Thola sha khayegi mamma ki zindagi, you know what manik.. This is the first time she spoke a hindi word on her own "

I informed him and his eyes shined just like it mine, he was happy too

" Nai nai karne chale? "
I asked taking ifra in my arms again

" Aaj dadda ifra ko nai nai karenge and mamma will sit...you're not supposed to stress your knee mrs.... I mean ms murthy "

His toungue slipped but he fumbled and got back to ms murthy

" Accha!  Atleast take me and make me sit on the cabinet mujhe bhi fresh hona hain "

As soon as he heard me, he jumped out of the bed , he came like a bull and took us both in his arms

While me and ifra giggled!

Carrying us in his arms, he made me sit on the cabinet and gave Ifra in my laps

I cuddled to my baby as she had her face dipped in my chest

Manik was preparing some luke warm water in the tub for ifra also he added bubbles which ifra loves, so he actually prepared a bubble bath

He brought the little tub and placed it on the cabinet, i gently made ifra sit inside it and taking all the essentials from my handbag i bathed ifra

Who enjoyed her father singing songs for her, while she clapped her bubbly hands

" Main kya pehnugi? "
I asked  manik as i had nothing to wear after i take a bath

" I asked betty, she sent me both of your changes "
He informed me and both dadda and daughter started throwing the bubble water on me too making me all wet

Dono badmaash hain 

I muttered and started throwing water on them too so basically, we all were wet and ifra still was enjoying her bubble bath session

" Dadda "
Ifra called manik and he instantly was at his daughter's service

" Haanji jaan? "
He said dramatically making her facepalm herself

Dono dramebaaz hain ek number ke !

" Mamma alsho bubblesh bubblesh "
She said and gave me a peck on my lips

She was so happy seeing me wet too, she was happy coz she enjoyed her first bathting session with her mamma and dadda both

" Chale?  Thand lag jayegi dadda ki jaan ko come "

Manik was standing before ifra with his hands forward with a towel on it asking ifra to come in his arms

Ifra who was enjoying her bubble bath, looked at her dadda and instantly crawled in his arms

He kept her on the left side of the cabinet where it was all dry and i applied her creams and fraganance and made her wear the clothes

" Do you need any help?  Ms murthy? "
He asked naughtily , coming and standing before me

" Nandini, i don't want your injuries to be wet "
He was back to his strict mode

" Toh main nahaungi kaise? "
I asked cause Ofcourse my injuries will be wet

" Here take this, wrap it around your knees and then you can bath "
He said and i nodded as i took hold of the plastic bag given by him

He stood in between my legs and picked me up , while i shouted getting scared with his sudden move

" Kya kar rahe ho ?"

I shouted

" Bath tub me aaram se nahao, I'm taking ifra with me... Don't forget to wrap the plastic bag around your knees ..."

I nodded and making me sit in the bath tub,  he left with ifra

Mujhe life me aur kya chahiye?  Didn't i imagine this?  Me waking up in the morning and admiring my family, didn't i do the same today? 

Nandini, she looked so beautiful, she kept talking to her self unaware with the fact that i was wide awake !

She lookedd cuteee okay? 

She then asked me the name of the culprit,  but i didn't say the name because i wanted her to first have something ,coz i knew she'll take stress and her bloos pressure would increase

Thankyou nandini's aiyappa for giving me what i have today, i promise to value and love them all my life

I gave my baby a bath for the first time, nobody would be more happier than me! 

I love them so much! 

So currently nandini was taking a bath and little ms malhotra was standing before my walk in closet with her hand wrapped around each other finding an outfit for me

Me?  What was i doing?  Of course i was recording her antics!

" Dadda "

She called me

" Jee jaan"

I replied 

" Thish one "
She pointed and stood on her toes trying to get it for me but the height was too much

" Ifra! Jaan lag jayegi... Dadda will
wear that only!  "

I assured her and took of the shirt and jeans from the hanger

" Manik! "

We were busy in with ourselves when i saw nandini walking towards us like what?

She just came out of the bathroom all by herself, didn't i asked her to call me when she's done?  Uffff!  Ye ladki! 

" Kya ho raha hain?  Jaan you selected dadda's clothes? "

She asked looking at ifra totally forgetting about her knee, it would've pained her so much

" Didn't i warn you to call me when you're done?  Why do you have to be so stubborn? "

I asked her in an angry tone

But her reply passed a bullet outta my heart

" In choto se mujhe dard nahi hota, inki toh aadat hain mujhe "

Saying so she picked up ifra and walked towards the bed

I have to say, she looked ravishing in what she was wearing

" Par main le aata na tumhe "
I said and walked behind them

After that manik too took a bath while nandini and ifra were waiting for him on the bed, after that the trio were about to leave the room

" Mamma " 

Ifra called her mamma

" Jee adora "
Nandini replied as she went towards manik, because ifra was in manik's arms

" glareshhhhh "
She said and dipped her face inside her father's neck

Manik looked confused, he didn't get what ifra was trying to say

Nandini said laughingly and went to take out ifra's customized baby size glares

" Jaan! Can i gobble you up?  And boys are supposed to stay away from you "

Nandini laughed at his possesive nature and they got out after nandini tied ifra's hair in a half bun

Ifra looked uunbelievably cute and pretty

" So yes, now tell me who's the culprit "

Nandini said and was applying butter on the bread for manik and ifra

" Nandini!  I'm so sorry ki meri wajah se you and ifra have to go through all this pehle nyonika aur ab.... "

He stopped eating and fidgeting with his fingers said

" Ab kaun? "
Nandini stopped applying butter and looked at manik waiting for the answer

" Manik main kuch puch rahi hu?  Ab kaun? "
Her voice raised this time

But not getting any answer from him she ran her brain horses and sarcastically chuckled while saying

" Is it one of your friends?  Isiliye tum mujhse chupa rahe ho?  Is it dhruv, mukti, alya, cabir, navya aur ha abhi?  Whoooo?  Kisne ifra ko harm karne ki koshish ki? 
Isiliye tum nahi batana chahte the?  "

Said nandini angrily and stood up, her eyes were filled with tears as manik's silence was the confirmation to her doubt
