ARNAV

It was a big day today, Rahat had planned on proposing Arohi, I mean do you even know what that means? That my brother had finally gotten responsible, he stopped chasing random women and finally chose a life partner, I was so happy for him, I was doing everything in my power to help him arrange it.

I really wish Khushi could have been here though, I mean it was a big deal and I am sure she would be so excited for Arohi, I did tell her over the phone about Rahat's proposal but she said she couldn't make it on time as she had to finish up some stuff back there.

Everything seemed to be falling in place though, Khushi had completed her studies and was coming back next week, Rahat and Arohi had dated for a year and a half and it looked like things between them were going great and finally, Rahat had decided to take the big step.

All this kind of reminded me of my proposal and how I had proposed Khushi infront of a huge crowd, Rahat wasn't really doing something like that, he had planned something simple for Arohi, he said Arohi liked simple stuff so he dint want to make the proposal so big.

He had booked the finest hotel, made some arrangements with them and we were supposed to go later in the afternoon to check if everything was set, Arohi of course had no idea about it.

"Bro, did you get the ring?" He asked as he walked inside my room.

"Yeah I have don't worry, the ring is on it's way." I smiled at him.

"It better be the one I chose and it better fit her." Rahat said seriously.

"Relax Rahat, it's going to be perfect, did you get the flowers yet?"

"No, I've talked to the florist, I'll pick them up on my way to the date, I am so nervous." He said.

"Don't worry, it's going to be great, I'm sure she'll love it." I assured him.

"What if she says no?"

"She wont, you guys have been together for a while now, and even if she say no it will mean that she's not ready yet, so all you have to do is give her time until she's ready."

"Okay, I'll go check if my clothes have come, did you send the driver with her dress?"

"I did, calm down and go get dressed, I'm sure the dress must have reached her." I smiled at houw nervous he was about this. Oh, how I wish Khushi was here to witness it.

RAHAT

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I looked okay, I couldn't stop wondering how gorgeous Arohi was going to look in the dress I had sent for her, it was such a beautiful dress and she was definitely going to rock it. I had a little help from Khushi with the online shopping of dress but we both managed to pick out a perfect one.

Today was actually going to be a big day for me and for Arnav, because he had no idea that Khushi was flying back today, he thought she was coming back next week because she wanted to surprise him.

I mean finally after so long, they both would get back together and this time there was no separation and as for me, I was going to propose the girl I fell in love with... what could have been better than that?

I grabbed my phone and dialled Khushi's number hoping she had arrived and gladly it rang which meant she had already landed.

"Hey." She sounded so excited.

"Hey, I was just checking if you've arrived, you know where to be right? I'm taking Arnav with me." I said.

"Yup, I'll be there on time, I am so excited for the four of us." She said.

"I am too, see you later, I've got to go pick my girlfriend up." I smiled, it always felt great addressing her as my girlfriend, it was going to feel way better addressing her as my fiancé, that's if things went well today.

I hoped everything was going to go well.

On my way to Arohi's place, I got the flowers from the florist and now I was standing outside her house waiting for her to come, I couldn't wait to see her.

A few moments later, the door opened up and as she stepped out, my heart skipped a beat, she looked breathtakingly beautiful, the violet dress fit her perfectly and it suited her skintone so well, no wonder it was her favorite color.

"Wow." I said as she stopped in front of me, I couldn't stop admiring her, she looked so freaking beautiful. The dress was mermaid shaped and it hugged her figure so perfectly, it dint have any extra decorations or so, it was sweet and simple, just how she liked things.

"I love this dress so much." She said excitedly.

"I love this girl so much." I smirked.

"Aww, you're the sweetest." She hugged me tight for a moment and then pulled apart.

"Beautiful flowers for my beutiful girl." I said as i handed her the flowers i had picked out for her.

"Aww, they are so beautiful and you're putting a little extra effort today." She giggled to which i just smiled in return.

"So what kind of a date is this today, you're so dressed up, I am so dressed up, it feels like we're going to an event." She said.

"Well the place we're going to has a dresscode that's why, anyway, let's get going, we don't want to be late." I said as I held the door open for her, she got inside the car as I followed her in and the driver drove off.

ARNAV

I was already at the hotel getting some last minute touch ups done and when everything was perfect, I settled down at one table in the far end corner where Arohi wont notice me, Rahat wanted me to stay so I stayed.

I mean he had helped me so much with my proposal for Khushi, I was also going to make sure his proposal for Arohi was perfect.

A while later, I saw them both walk in, the waiter rushed towards them and led them to their tables. We made sure not to book all the tables up so that there would be people around and it wouldn't make arohi suspicious.

They settled down at the table and started talking to each other, I knew it was going to take time before he proposed so I grabbed my phone and made sure I was ready to record it when he did, it would be so great to have a video or a picture as a memory.

While I was trying to turn on the camera, I felt someone's hand on my face and before I knew, they were blocking my view.

"Guess who." I heard a voice.

Oh My God! Was it her? Was it Khushi? But she said she couldn't come.

"Khushi!" I stood up and turned around immediately and there she was, standing infront of me looking as beautiful as ever with that gorgeous smile on her face.

"Oh my God baby, what a pleasant surprise." I happily pulled her into my arms and gave her such a tight hug, I was really wishing for her to be here and she was. When would this girl stop surprising me.

"I knew you'd love it." She smirked.

"I am so happy to see you here, how did you know where I was going to be?"

"Rahat." She smiled.

"Of course! That idiot. Oh my God, I can't believe you're back for good now, no more long distance, we'll live together, everyday. I am so happy." I was literally becoming so emotional, out long distance had been pretty hard I swear, I was so happy that she was finally back.

"How about we be happy for us later, right now it's there moment, let's be happy for them." Khushi smiled as she pointed towards Rahat and Arohi who were still talking to each other and Arohi seemed to be blushing continuously.

"I am so overwhelmed today, I mean all this happiness." I laughed.

"I know, everything is finally going so well." She said as she sat down opposite me on the table, I finally managed to turn on my camera and I did it in the right moment because I saw Rahat stand up and pull out the ring from his pocket.

Arohi's expressions were so beautiful, she was so surprised and she seemed so happy at the same time, maybe she was actually going to say yes.

Rahat went down on his knee and popped the question to her, she stood up and literally jumped up and down excitedly as she shouted out her yes so loud, I swear everyone present in the restaurant heard it and turned to look towards them both.

She held out her hand and Rahat slid the ring on after which they shared a tight hug, it was such a beautiful moment for them, and for me. I turned to look at my gorgeous wife who had tears of happiness in her eyes, she was so happy for the both of them and so was I... but I was happy for the both of us too. We were finally together and everything was perfect.
