KHUSHI

Things were different today, it was after long that I felt really happy, since dad left us, everything had been upside down, but now everything seemed to be falling in place.

I stared at my ceiling wondering if this was real, I mean I was almost getting engaged to Rahat and then everything changed in a filmy manner and the best part of this was that Arnav loved me too.

What was better than having Arnav Raizada love you? Oh My God, I felt like Cinderella. The prince charming fell for me, how cute.

"Aww how cute." A voice disturbed my thoughts, I noticed Arohi standing beside me bed giggling at me.

"What?" I asked as I sat up.

"The smile on your face, I bet you were thinking about Arnav, weren't you? I deserve some credit here though don't I? Remember how I forced you to go for the interview?" She smirked.

How could I forget, if she hadn't convinced me to go for the interview, maybe I wouldn't have ever met Arnav, he was just the perfect guy. He was amazing. I was in love with him and all I wanted to do was shout it out to the entire world.

"Thank you for convincing me for it." I hugged Arohi happily.

"I'm so happy for you Khushi, there wouldn't have been a better guy for you than Arnav." She broke the hug and looked at me happily.

I just couldn't stop smiling for some reason, I felt like I wanted to dance, sing some stupid song and just feel this love.

"Anyway what brings you here this early?" I asked.

"Nothing, I just thought I'd see you before you left for work and tell you how happy I was for you, since you started working there we haven't really spent much time together."

"I know, it's been busy plus we also went out of the country." I sighed.

"I understand Khushi, I'm not complaining. Anyway don't you need to get ready for work? Go see your hot boss and lover." She winked at me making me blush deep red.

"I can't wait to see him, I'm excited and nervous too. What should I wear? Help me." I pouted.

"This is exactly why I'm here." Arohi laughed.

"I'll take a quick shower then we can decide what I should wear and you can curl my hair for me." I said excitedly.

"As you say." She nodded so I quickly rushed to the bathroom to take a shower, I was really excited. It wasn't the first time I was going to see him obviously, it was just... it was the first time now that we were together, I couldn't stop imagining things.

After an eternity, I was finally ready. I stood in front of the mirror admiring my beautiful self, Arohi had done the curls so perfectly, they looked great. I did a bit of more than usual make up today and decided to put on a beautiful black dress that I have been saving for a special occasion. It had an off the shoulder neckline with beautiful lace working and it was tight fitting, it hugged my figure perfectly.

I grabbed a matching pair of heels and I was set to meet Arnav, this feeling I was having at the moment was impossible to describe but I'm sure anyone that had ever been in love would surely know how it felt.

"He's not going to be able to look away from you." Arohi whispered in my ear making me blush once again.

"Okay, I got to go for work, I'll call you when I'm free and we can do something together." I smiled at her, I gave her a hug and then walked away in a hurry, I was running a bit late already.

Once I arrived at the Raizada mansion, I felt nervous that I already was, I dint know what was going to happen today neither did I know what to expect.

I walked inside slowly and the first person I saw was Arnav, he was seated in the hall with a file in his hand, but he looked up immediately as he heard the sound of my heels.

He stood up and looked at me with his eyes wide open, I started walking towards him and I swear the way my heart was beating, it was going to jump out of my chest anytime soon.

"Khushi!" Rahat said as he came from behind me, I looked at him in confusion.

"Glad that you are here, I've been waiting for you, we have a lot of work to do. Remember we have a concert tonight, I hope you have already got our clothes ready, you will also have to go check the venue and make sure everything is organized." Rahat said.

"I remember very well, everything is ready don't worry. And I also talked to the organizers they said they would be done with the set up by afternoon so I can go then and confirm everything is okay." I replied.

"Good then, I should go practice for a while then."

"Rahat. Since when did you get so serious about work?" I asked.

"I remember once Arnav told me there would come a day when I would be a changed man, I guess today is the day. Let me know in the afternoon when you decide to visit the venue, in case I'm free I'll come along."

"Sure." I nodded, he then smiled as he rushed upstairs, he seemed somehow different today. There was just something, like you get the feeling but you can't exactly put a finger on it, it was something like that. I knew there was something going on with him.

Now that Rahat was gone, I started heading towards Arnav once again who hadn't stopped staring at me, I stopped right in front of him and smiled at him brightly.

"Hi." I greeted him.

"Hi." He smiled at me and then once again, we were interrupted, this time by his father. Why was it that the whole universe was against our little romance today?

"Khushi dear, I need a little help with typing an email, can you do it for me please?"

"Sure sir."

"Great, my laptop is in my room, this way please." He smiled as he led the way and I followed him after looking at Arnav and pouting at him which ended up making him laugh.

Oh how beautiful he looked when he laughed.

"I'm sorry, there's no email, it was just an excuse to talk to you." Arnav's dad said once we were away from Arnav.

"Oh... Should I be scared?" I asked nervously.

"No. I just... Okay let me be very clear. Arnav had been really different, he was never a difficult child to raise, I'm sure you realize that, he has never demanded anything ever, he has never had a girlfriend before so I know how serious he is about this.

I just want to make sure he isn't going to get hurt. You see with Rahat I don't have to worry, I know he can handle this things, but Arnav can't, all I want is for you to not hurt him. He hasn't ever been with a girl, he always told me he was waiting for that one girl he would fall for and he was going to get married to her and have a happy life with her.

Like I said, he doesn't have much demands, which is why I'm worried. I haven't just seen him like this before, I do know you would never hurt him intentionally but as his father it was my duty to tell you. Sometimes I just worry about him a lot as if he's still my five year old Arnav." He smiled.

"You don't have to worry sir, I would never hurt him that way." I assured him.

"I know Khushi. It's just that all this that happened between you, Arnav and Rahat, it scares me."

"It scared me too, but I think we are three mature people who know how to act in this matter."

"Thank you, anyway it was a good talk, you can get back to work." He smiled at me, I nodded as I walked away and headed back to Arnav, I hoped now there wasn't another person waiting to interfere again, all I wanted to do was talk to my boyfriend.

Oh My God! He was my boyfriend. The excitement!

As I walked back to the hall, I saw him stand up once again.

"Miss Khushi, to my room. You have a lot of work to do today." He said in a very strict manner and headed upstairs. There goes our romance, everything was doomed already. I felt a little sad about it.

I followed him upstairs to his room, he walked in and waited for me to walk in, once I did, he grabbed me and pushed me to the nearest wall, putting his hands on both sides block my way. Okay it happened so fast, one moment I was walking in his room the other moment I was stuck in a wall with him staring at me with his beautiful eyes.

Why did I sound like a poet?

"Sir?"

"Arnav." He said.

"Arnav, someone might come in." I blushed.

"Oh." He said as he stepped backwards, walked towards the door and locked it then turned to look at me once again, this time he was smirking.

"Now no one is going to come in. I get time to stare at you." He folded both his arms and continued staring at me, it was kind of making me shy.

"Stop it." I blushed as I turned the other way so I wouldn't look at him, he came towards me and hugged me from behind and I swear I felt all kinds of goosebumps.

"I know this isn't quite professional but what can I do when you walk in looking like this?" He whispered in my ears giving me the shivers.

"Oh, is this doing something to you?" I giggled, teasing him.

He flipped me around and made me face him, then he started drawing lines on my face with his finger as he continued staring at me.

"Why are you so beautiful? And what did I do to deserve such a beautiful girlfriend?" he asked.

"Oh I never thought Arnav Raizada could be this romantic."

"Just wait and watch baby, you're in for a lot of surprises." He winked.

All I could think at the moment was that he called me baby and damn it sounded so cute. Keep calling me baby please.

"You know I'm a professional person so I'll let you go for now which is very difficult but I can't wait for our date tonight after the concert, where I can do all the unprofessional things." He smirked.

"You sound so dirty." I laughed.

"I am." He replied as he pecked on my cheek, it wasn't a quick peck, it was a very slow one, like he let his lips stay on my cheek for long enough and he even grabbed a bit of it with his teeth and bit it slowly. Wow, who knew Arnav Raizada, the guy that had never dated a girl could be this romantic. I still couldn't stop blushing.
