"Are you pranking me?" I groaned over the phone as I saw the Range Rover that I had sold a week ago standing in my driveway.
"What are you talking about?" Lacey’s sleepy voice filled my ear and even though it was late morning I wasn’t surprised I had called her awake because she loved sleeping in on her off days.
"You said the dealership took it back so why is my car in my driveway again?" I clarified further, hoping she would process what I was saying.
"They took it back. I gave you the cheque"
"Then how is it…"
"Are you sure it's your car?" I heard her voice as I stared out of my window at the very obvious car in my driveway.
"What do you mean?"
"Is it your car or the same one as your car"
"I don't know. It's parked in my driveway, Lace"
"I may be wrong but I think Randy may have bought you the car" Her voice raised slightly as she blurted out her thoughts.
"Why on earth would he do that?" I frowned as I had never discussed anything related to my car with him.
"I mentioned that you would be selling yours because of the money issue. I'm sorry, it just came out one day while he was waiting for you"
"Shit, Lace. This is going to confuse my mom I can't…" I groaned but saw my mother standing in the kitchen, staring at me, as soon as I turned away from the window.
"You can't what…" She questioned.
"Shit, goodluck. I'll see you at work"
"Bye" I sighed and hung up before turning to my mom. "Hey, mammi"
"I signed for it this morning. From your friend" By the tone of her voice I could tell she was digging and Randy had not left any sort of indication it was from him.
"Felix found out I sold it and wouldn't have it" I sighed, hating the lie but was also grateful I had come up with something plausible on the spot.
"And Lacey is fine with her boyfriend buying you such expensive gifts?" She raised her eyebrow, wearily.
"Yes. That was her on the phone."
"I thought it might have been from your boyfriend"
"My boyfriend?" I frowned.
"Randy Orton"
"Why would you think that he is my…"
"You know our neighborhood, people talk. They said he was here last month while I was out, so what is this? Running around with another rich man? Do you want to repeat the past?"
I was thankful Luca was already at school because this wasn't going to go down well, "It's nothing like the past"
"It's exactly like the past. I told you those people want nothing but to use us but you didn't listen to me. Not once have you heard from that man, they are heartless"
"Randy isn't like that" I defended and knew the words had flowed from my mouth many years before when I was with Luca’s father but I knew Randy was different.
"So you are sleeping with him?"
"He is my boyfriend. " Was all I said in response
She scoffed, "He is just looking for a pretty young thing to flaunt in that sports car of his"
"That's not true. He likes me and he knows about Luca and he wants to be with me. Not just because I'm a pretty face." I rolled my eyes cause if she only knew how many times I had thought about that. How many times that thought alone had wanted me to just push Randy away. But I couldn't, not just because he was persistent but because I would miss him too.
"You are young and naive, my child "
"I was in the past but I know better now" As I said it I wasn't even sure if I meant it, I did know better but I also knew I was compelled by the attraction Randy had to me. And maybe that might have affected my judgement here and there.
"I can't stop you, you're a grown woman but just remember that Luca admires the man he sees on TV. "

"So your mom knows?" Lacey questioned as she wiped down the counter while I sat down since it was my turn to be off for the day.
"Yes, a sports car in our neighborhood definitely doesn't go unnoted. Now you can cut the tension with a knife, I get where she is coming from but he is not some rich snob. He has worked hard for his money and he just wants me" I shrugged as I hadn't spoken to my mom since our disagreement the day before. I mean we didn't make it obvious for Luca's sake but there was a reason I was at work on my off day.
"And you want him. She will come around, he just needs to prove himself to her" Lacey said with a hopeful tone she always seemed to have for me. Reminded me of when I told her I was pregnant, she said at least I wouldn't have to write finals. She could be silly at times but she really made me look at life through less gloomy eyes.
"I don't want to collide those worlds yet"
"If you are falling for him you should. You can't keep distancing yourself from situations, or you will lose him"
I nodded as she was right as always, "I can't stop being scared when every guy has just let me down. I'm not more than a one night stand and he is sticking around not caring about anything. So I have to and…"
I heard the bell of the door and by her face I knew it was Randy. I saw him take a seat beside me, "Do I get to kiss you in here or is that a no?"
I narrowed my eyes at him before leaning over and kissing him. He gripped my face to deepen the kiss while his other hand moved up my inner thigh. I placed my hand on top of his to stop it and entangled his fingers in mine as he broke the kiss. He lift our entangled hands onto the counter and kissed mine before kissing into my hair.
"Oh how I miss my boyfriend" I heard Lacey which caused Randy to look at her.
"Hello, Lacey" he smiled before gazing over at me.
"Where do you want to go?"
"I was thinking we could just eat here" I shrugged as I felt drained even though I hadn’t had to deal with my mom today, yesterday’s argument still weighed heavily on my mind.
"Sure" he nodded even though I could see he was abit disappointed because it meant no sex.
We gave Lacey our orders before moving to the booth right in the corner which offered the most privacy. I scooted in but had to move in more as Randy decided he wanted to sit beside me. He threw his arm over the booth before resting his head back and closing his eyes.
"Rough night?" I questioned while admiring his jawline and the slight tense in it as he tried to relax. I tried not to remind myself that I was indeed the girlfriend of the man whose matches I had watched and had shamelessly drooled over. But in moments of silence and simply staring at him it was hard not to feel a sense of pride at being wanted by RKO.
He smirked before lazily opening his eyes and looking at me, "Rough week. Work's killing me but then I see you and I'm better"
I smiled and rest my head on his arm while I pulled his other hand into mine again and kissed it. "Why did you buy me a car?"
"It finally arrived?" He feigned surprise while I kept my tone soft despite being annoyed because I didn’t feel like arguing with him at all.
"Randy…"
"I heard how much you wanted it and I didn't want you to have to give up something you wanted" He shrugged and I didn’t look at him even though I could feel his eyes on me.
"That's life sometimes, Randy. "
"Life doesn't need to be so hard that you have to work in that place. I can pay whatever is putting you in a tough spot and you can just work here" I frowned having not expected where he was going.
"Is that what this is about? Randy, I don't want to play these mind games anymore" I shook my head and finally looked at him.
"That car is not connected to the job. Its a gift from me but Im serious. You don't have to dance for fucking random guys when you have me"
"I am not in this with you so I can depend on you. Im not after your money" I whispered and he glanced around realizing he hadn't bothered to be discrete in his tone.
He sighed but lowered his voice, "I'm pretty sure I realized that early on already. You hate doing it so why continue when I can help you? "
I glared at him which led to him rolling his eyes before I responded, "Because I dont want to feel like Im being bought when Im with you. Your spending attitude is what turned me off from you"
"But also made you want to sleep with me" He blurted out immediately.
"Yes there was a time I was that desperate I would even sleep with you. You dont have to be concerned about it now though" I shook my head and scooted away from him.
He chuckled, "You want to fuck me right now so don't even think you can hold out on me, Lyla"
"I think I have shown you how easily I can hold out on you" I ignored his eyes on me but allowed him to wrap his arm around my shoulder and pull me close again.
He licked over his lips before smirking, "I hate that your attitude makes me hard"
"I wish yours had that effect but it just dries me up" I smiled and he narrowed his eyes.
"You're funny, baby" he whispered and I felt his hand grip my thigh and move to my inner thigh.
"Randy, stop" I put my hand on his and briefly glanced around the diner even though his large figure practically hid me.
"I just want to see if you really aren't wet"
I narrowed my eyes at him while he only smirked. I was so annoyed by him yet so turned on and he knew it.
"I hate you" I whispered into his lips but he replied with a kiss. His hand in my lap didn't move further but he did squeeze my thigh which caused me to grip his shirt. "I dont hate you"
"I know" he chuckled into my lips. "If you need extra help apart from this, you will let me know though? Cause if you were desperate enough to sleep with me it means its not enough"
I simply nodded before burying my face in his neck. "The day I get to sleep next to you is the day I am a happy man"
"Thats random" I mumbled.
"But very true. "
"It's not going to happen though. My mom knows about us" I confessed.
"Oh?"
I leaned back and stared past him into the kitchen where I could see them preparing our order. "We had a bit of a fight. She doesn't understand and I can't really defend it when half the time I'm still wondering why I'm so special."
He smiled, "cause my Dick likes you"
I laughed out and shook my head but focused on him again, "I'm sure it does. It doesn't get inside me often"
"Lyla Lyla Lyla" he smirked but then stared at me, "I take it she thinks I'm taking advantage of her sweet, innocent Lyla"
"Basically. She's just distrustful, I mean Luca's dad chose his family fortune over me. I'm sure in his world no one even knows his son exists and I was torn apart by it. But I look at my son and I'm not so sad that I was another teen-age statistic" I smiled even though I had to deal with heartbreak and being a new mom. In the end it was what made me a better mom, I moved on from wanting someone who never really wanted me and focused on the one person that needed me to be there the most.
"He is an awesome little man. And his father doesn't deserve either of you"
"I haven't seen him in the last four years so he doesn't exist to me. And now that I have you, no man does"
"I would hope so. Oh I have an all expense paid trip for you if you're interested." I frowned but he continued, "It's the Royal Rumble the end of the month so I was hoping you would come"
"You want me to be there as your girlfriend?" I questioned as the last time I was merely a fan but that was before we were official.
"What else are you? "
"I am but I feel like your friends will be interrogating me and… "
"If you start listing everything in your life again " He rolled his eyes dramatically.
I hit his chest, "those are facts, Randy and while you are blinded by your feelings for me. From the outside… "
He cut me off and spoke firmly "I am a grown man, Lyla. I don't seek their approval"
I sighed and nodded as I saw Lacey heading over with our food, "Okay but my other job doesn't need to be known."
