Issue 1: Red Light, Green Arrow

Star City

Glass erupts from the doorframes and window panes that once held it intact. With all exits now wide open, the burglar of the museum walks out holding a precious, ruby-like gem large enough to take up all of the space of his right hand. His casual stroll is stopped when several arrows strike all around him. One after another, the emerald projectiles flash as they explode, temporarily stunning the would-be thief.

???: Game's over, Faust!

Felix Faust: So nice of you to drop in, Arrow.

Green Arrow: Thanks. Always nice running into you. Let's get this over with, I gotta date with a smokin' blonde in five and she can't stand when I'm late!

Felix: I wonder how she'll feel at your funeral!

He snaps the fingers on his left hand and several purple circles appear on the ground. From them, three large demons arise.

Green Arrow: She probably won't be too thrilled!

He shouts before muttering to himself as he readies an arrow.

Green Arrow: This is the last time I fill in for Dinah.

He fires the arrow up in the air as he leaps from his vantage point on the roof, quickly firing another arrow that turns into a thick cable. While he zip lines down the cable, the first arrow explodes into three parts. The three different parts burst over the top of the demons, releasing an icy blue gas. The gas surrounds the demons, freezing them instantly, just before the Emerald Archer sticks each one of them with an oddly thick arrow. The scarlet numbering on the screens at the bulk of the cylindrical heads of the arrows tick down to zero. Then, they explode, shattering the demons into pieces.

Green Arrow: That the best you got?!

He says as he readies another arrow, this one aimed at the skull of Felix. The sorcerer faces him with a sly smirk.

Felix Faust: Hardly!

Faust forms two purple rings around his hands, then claps. He pulls his hands away, then throws his arms straight forward. A violet energy blast in the shape of a compass rose streaks towards the Emerald Archer. He dives out of the way, rolling behind a nearby car as the compass blast steams by and explodes in the distance.

Green Arrow turns to look back at what exploded to find a red energy-like silhouette in a crater. From out of the crater, the silhouette with large bone-like spikes covering its body and two glowing red rings, one on each hand, stands up. With a gruff voice, the giant speaks.

Ragnarok: Ow.

Green Arrow: What the hell are you doing here!?

He asks, turning back around to face Felix and letting several arrows fly from behind the trunk of the car. The Red Lantern King smirks and stomps towards the sorcerer.

Ragnarok: Bats needs you back at the Watchtower.

He says while walking past the car Arrow is hiding behind. The arrows the Emerald Archer already fired detonate on the ground and in the air, trapping Faust in a cluster of explosive-induced confusion. Faust casts spells to throw all kinds of objects Ragnarok's way. The Red Lantern King allows them to crash into him without a care as it doesn't really hurt him. It's more like getting hit with heavy pillows than anything, in his mind.

Green Arrow: I've got him right where I want him.

The Emerald Archer voices as he lines up another shot. The jaded boxing glove at the tip of the arrow flies forwards and collides with the bottom jaw of Faust.

Ragnarok: It won't matter.

The monstrous beast says as covers his eyes with one arm. Green Arrow looks at him confused before a blinding light appears behind Faust. Felix flashes a smile, then runs through the glowing portal. The light vanishes and Ragnarok turns to face Arrow.

Green Arrow: What the hell was that thing!?

Ragnarok: What Bats wants to talk about.

Green Arrow: Are you my ride?

Ragnarok: We're ready, Tower.

The two dematerialize, then rematerialize inside the Justice League Watchtower. They walk through the vast space station, which is filled with superheroes of all shapes and sizes. Ragnarok, of course, being one of the most unique. His red rings glow bright as he transforms his body into that of a large human rather than the body of Doomsday.

(A/N: Like this, but with a fiery full beard.)

Green Arrow: Really?

Red Lantern: What? You think I like being big and grey all the time?

Green Arrow: Oh yeah, giant human barfing fire blood is way better.

Caleb smirks as the two pass by several Leaguers such as the Question and Green Lantern John Stewart. They reach the main room where the recently returned Superman and the Amazon Princess Wonder Woman stand waiting.

Green Arrow: Supes, welcome back to the land of the living.

He says, extending his hand. Superman smiles and shakes his hand.

Superman: Thank you, Duncan.

Duncan Queen, the Green Arrow, smiles. They part from each other and take their places around the oval-shaped table that sits in the middle of the room.

Green Arrow: Where's Bats? I would've thought he was already-

Batwoman: He's wrapping up a Clayface situation in Gotham. He'll be here soon.

The blond man smirks as he turns to face Batwoman. His smirk is contagious, though she'll never let him know that. What her mask conceals is her business and her business alone.

Green Arrow: Him I get, but why are you serious all the time?

Batwoman: Runs in the family, Queen.

Duncan turns to face Caleb Ragnarsön. The Red Lantern King looks back with a smile.

Green Arrow: Was that a joke?

Red Lantern: Sure seemed like it.

Batwoman: My cousin wanted me to conduct this meeting without him. Lately, just before we can defeat any of our villains, a bright light takes them.

As she speaks, the holographic videos of each of the gathered heroes latest fights show what she's talking about. Felix disappearing from Arrow, Cheetah disappearing from Wonder Woman, Luthor from Superman, etc. The latest video is a live feed from Gotham. A shadowy figure the team all knows as Batman fires two cables at Clayface. The cables nearly reach the monster when a blinding light appears between Clayface's back and the camera. By the time the light is gone, so is Clayface.

Batman: Tower, pick up.

In an instant, he vanishes before the camera as he's wrapped in a blue energy. He dematerializes as the blue light fades away.

Batwoman: He'll be joining us shortly. As you can see, someone or something is teleporting our foes before they can be apprehended.

Wonder Woman: Any idea of who could be behind this?

She asks while Batwoman takes her seat at the table. Before she can speak again, the doors hiss open and a voice answers Diana's question.

Batman: Morgan le Fay.

Wonder Woman: Are you sure?

Batman: I saw her when Clayface vanished.

Wonder Woman: What now?

Batman: We wait.

Batwoman: Unfortunately, it's all we can do. The rest of the League is on high alert. J'onn is monitoring for any further attacks.

Wonder Woman: Isn't there something we can do about this? Maybe Zatanna could cast a spell during the fight.

Batman: Too risky. It could keep our team from being able to evacuate. We also run the risk of draining Zatanna. She can't be everywhere at once. Rapid teleporting drains even the strongest magic user.

Superman: So we wait. Then what?

Martian Manhunter: Attention! Felix Faust has been spotted in Coast City!

The monotonous voice of the last Green Martian fills the Watchtower. The Leaguers gathered all stand.

Green Arrow: I'm going.

Batman: Fine. Take Lantern with you. If Morgan shows up, capture her. She's a higher priority than Faust.

Batwoman: I'll supervise.

Batman: No! Go back to Gotham, Anne. Go see your Cat.

He says a little colder than he meant to. Anne glares at him beneath the cowl, he can feel it. Batman doesn't acknowledge his cousin any further. Instead, he leaves the room in his usual stern manner. She follows him out of the room while the rest look on. Arrow and Lantern face each other and shrug, then rush to the command deck. They step onto deck and give J'onn the thumbs up.

Coast City

Green Arrow: Heads up!

A volley of arrows explode around Faust, who smirks that same evil smirk from before.

Felix Faust: You're a glutton for punishment, Arrow!

Green Arrow: You left our last dance before the encore! I don't like leaving people unsatisfied.

He taunts while pulling the bowstring back. Duncan releases and watches as the arrow streams towards Faust. Felix casts a circular spell and sends it flying towards the incoming attack, destroying the arrow before it can reach him. The sorcerer smiles sinisterly, but is blindsided by a scarlet stream of energy blasting him backwards through a nearby box truck's trailer. The Red Lantern King floats beside Duncan with a smirk.

Green Arrow: Speaking of unsatisfied...he isn't too happy about that shooting star you hit him with.

Red Lantern: With the blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so freshly dead...

He fires a rage construct of a fist that clenches around Felix, the grip growing stronger as he speaks.

Red Lantern:...Together with our hellish hate...

The grip tightens even further as the construct drags Faust closer to Ragnarsön, who is starting to glow with red energy.

Red Lantern:...We'll burn you all...

The fist clenching around Felix retracts even fast, pulling the sorcerer towards the Red Lantern King at breakneck speeds. The fiery hair and viking-like beard goes wild as his voice grows deeper and more guttural.

Red Lantern: THAT IS YOUR FATE!!!

He lets out a large roar as he swings a left cross to the jaw of the sorcerer. Caleb takes the fight to Faust, punching him over and over, slashing him with the animal-like claws the Red Lantern rings bestowed to him. Finally, with his hands wrapped firmly around the throat of the sorcerer, he opens his mouth and releases a flood of the Red Lantern Corps' signature napalm vomit. The napalm burns at Faust's face as the Red Lantern King pins him to the ground by his windpipe.

Just as they knew it would, a blinding light appears nearby. The royal purple arms of the sorceress become visible as she steps out. Ragnarsön looks up and makes eye contact with the blacked-out eyes of Morgan le Fay.

She raises an arm. Through magic, she begins to lift Ragnarsön off of Faust. Caleb's face briefly turns grey, his beard turning into spikes and his eyes going red, as he struggles to hang on to the sorcerer's throat as the magic hoists him up. His face quickly returns to its normal look as he gives the signal.

Red Lantern: ARROW, NOW!!

A green object streaks through the air and slams onto the golden forehead of the mask adorning Morgan's cranium. The suction cup-like end of the arrow plants onto the mask, then releases a heavy dose of electricity. The golden portal closes as she falls to the ground.

Faust's eyes widen as he sees Morgan fall. He conjures a portal beneath him and starts to fall through it. Ragnarsön, who is still hovering Faust, spins and releases Faust, launching him into a nearby brick wall and denting it with the sorcerer's body. Faust drops to a knee, then summons a portal to his left and dives through it. The portal closes behind him, but the Red Lantern King doesn't care. Instead, he joins Arrow, hovering above Morgan and the Emerald Archer.

Red Lantern: Tower, bring us back. We've got Morgan.

Martian Manhunter: Excellent. Transporting you now.

Green Arrow: That was fun. Look, I got a-

Red Lantern: Hot blonde?

Green Arrow: Yeah. Do you mind-?

Red Lantern: Go. My rage is stronger than her magic. She's not getting out.

He says with a smile, gesturing to the crimson shackles that now adorn the sorceress. Duncan salutes with two fingers, then grapples off. Meanwhile Caleb and Morgan are taken back to the Watchtower.

Star City

Duncan: Hunny, I'm home!

He says, pealing his emerald hood back. The archer walks into his bedroom, opening the door and finding his hot date waiting for him.

???: 'Bout time, puddin'.

Harley Quinn: Whattaya say, puddin'...wanna rev up your Harley?

She asks with a giggle. Duncan walks towards her and the embrace, their lips meeting as they finally reunite after so long.

Watchtower

Morgan le Fay: This prison can't hold me forever.

She says flatly. Another voice speaks, though she already knew he was there.

Batman: It wasn't designed to. Just until you talk.

Morgan le Fay: You cannot break me, Batman. You know that.

Batman: You're right. That's why I won't be interrogating you. I want to introduce you to an old friend of mine. Meet...the Joker.

Laughter floods the room as purple and green smoke fill the air, making Batman and the rest of her surroundings fade. The multicolored smoke swirls around as a thick cloud of white appears in the center. The gases swirl until there's a face staring at her. The yellow eyes glow with fire as Morgan screams in terror.

A/N: Huge thank you to QueenZain3 and BD_DB_69 for joining me on this project! Hope y'all enjoyed the pilot.
