When Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow arrived in Metropolis with Wonder Woman and Green Lantern flying and Green Lantern using her ring to project a bubble around Green Arrow so that she could carry him to battle, only to find that Metropolis had been reduced to a war zone. Atlantean soldiers were surging through the streets with tanks and other weapons, the ocean almost looked like it was angry.

"It's worse than I thought." Wonder Woman said, wishing that she could summon an army of her sisters to help fight back, but then again, as long as her mother was queen, they were more likely to turn this into a three way war than a two way one.

"We need to get down there and help." Green Arrow said as Green Lantern dropped him on a nearby rooftop to take his place as team spotter and start firing arrows at Atlanteans and taking stock of the battle.

"Nice of you to join the party." Supergirl said to her sister after she and Wonder Woman had joined the fight.

"Sorry, it was a long trip. What's the status of civilians? Please tell me Lois and the kids are okay?" Green Lantern asked and Supergirl nodded.

"Superman relocated them to his parents' farm in Smallville the second the war started for this exact purpose. They're staying there until both the war is over and repairs to Metropolis are complete. Lucy's with her dad in DC trying to help coordinate a response to this attack. And thankfully citizens of Metropolis were already working on evacuating when this attack came in." Supergirl assured her.

"And I'm guessing any stragglers have been evacuated?" Green Lantern asked.

"Flash and I took care of that when we first arrived while the others held the line. But while the eight of us might have been enough to push back that first attack, Orm clearly adapted his strategy. We need more backup." Supergirl said, right as she heard jet engines approach and saw the batplane approach.

"Which is why I called for some." Batman said as the cockpit of the jet opened and Batwoman, Robin and Spoiler jumped out on grappling lines before finally Nightwing jumped out.

"Took you long enough." Batman said to his oldest and probably most trusted partner.

"Give me a break, it's a long flight from Bludhaven, especially since I had to make a pit stop in Gotham to pick up your team. Catwoman sends her best, but didn't want to leave my little brother with no parents, even though she trusts Alfred. Though she did tell me to tell you not to get yourself killed and told me not to let you get yourself killed." Nightwing said and Batman rolled his eyes under his mask.

"Sounds like her alright. Now get to work. You may have gone solo, but if you're here, then you answer to either me or Supergirl." Batman said, since while he was Nightwing's boss, he also recognized that on this mission, Supergirl was both their bosses.

"Yes sir. And thanks for calling me in. Nice to know you still value me." Nightwing said.

"I never didn't." Batman said.

"Focus on the battle now. Our objective is to identify the commander and take them in." Supergirl said.

"That would be easier if we had any idea on who the commander was. Maybe we should've brought that fish boy after all, since he's the only one who knows anything about the Atlantean military." Green Arrow shouted as he fired more arrows at attacking Atlanteans while their reinforcements had helped turn the tide a little bit, but still not enough.

Green Lantern was currently taking down a squadron of soldiers when she felt someone blast her from behind.

"Damn it, that was a cheap shot." Green Lantern said as she fell to the ground and two Atlanteans grabbed her.

"The first member of this league to fall. But not the last." the soldier said.

"I swear, if your blaster doesn't kill me, that fish breath of yours will." Green Lantern said as she tried to focus enough to blast these guys back, but she couldn't move her arms enough to do anything.

But she didn't need to since, before the soldier could execute her, he blasted back by another green energy beam.

"Miss me?" Green Lantern Hal Jordan asked her as he freed her.

"Never thought I'd be so happy to hear your voice? I thought you were still offworld." Green Lantern asked.

"Just got back in a few days ago and it looks like I have good timing. I know that we didn't exactly get off to the best start since I was an asshole when I first met you and Supergirl, but I'm here, so let me help." Hal said.

"Any help we can get is welcomed. Now let's kick some ass." Green Lantern said and her fellow Lantern grinned and nodded as they got to work, making quite the team.

"I guess it's true what they say. Two lanterns are better than one." Green Lantern 2 said.

"I guess so. Especially when you're not a jerk." Green Lantern said.

"Fair enough." Green Lantern 2 said as they continued getting to work as the League began to slowly push the enemy back.

With the additional firepower, the Justice League began to gain some ground against Atlantis, but Supergirl's hopes fell she saw a wave that she clearly recognized as Atlantis delivering more troops, since that would undo all the progress they'd made.

But that changed when the wave only deposited one person on the shore. A woman with bright red hair and wearing a green body and a gold helmet that resembled a crown was standing there.

"Princess Mera, what are you doing here?" one of the soldiers asked.

"I'm here to finally show my loyalty to Atlantis. But not to you or to Orm." Mera said as her arms and face began glowing a bright blue, along with her eyes as she sent the oceans surging down on the Atlanteans, while being sure to avoid the surface dwellers and send them back into the sea.

"Thank you." Supergirl said when she landed in front of Mera.

"Thank me by keeping me safe from Orm. He won't be happy that I betrayed him, even though I was never loyal to him in the first place. Tell me your people found Arthur." Mera said.

"We have. Your man Kaldur is with him now." Diana said.

"Good. But we should take this to a more private place." Mera said and Diana nodded.

"Batman, Green Lantern, tell the non-leaguers to continue patrolling, though when this war is over, we'll discuss adding them to our roster." Supergirl said.

"Copy that." Batman said.

"Consider it done." Green Lantern agreed.

"Good, then all leaguers, fall back to Argus. It sounds like we might have a chance at ending this war now." Supergirl said as she and Wonder Woman flew off with Mera in tow.
