Chapter 3

Pearl Harbor was in chaos as the shore was attacked by multiple waves, each one somehow depositing warriors unlike anything the people had ever seen before on the shore and these warriors were very quick to begin attacking.

One of the warriors had a woman and her child cornered in an alley, and the woman was cowering in fear, trying to protect her son as the warrior beared down on them.

"Please, we didn't do anything to you. Don't hurt us." the woman begged, but the warrior didn't listen, but right as he was about to bring his sword down on them, it was knocked out of his hand by a quick moving black object. A batarang.

The warrior turned around to see Batman standing in front of him.

"No soldier should ever take innocent lives on purpose. You're a disgrace." Batman growled at him before he quickly dodged the Atlantean's attacks and knocked him out.

"It's okay, you're safe. But you need to keep moving. The further inland the better. Go now." Batman said to the woman, who nodded as she got to her feet, despite shaking.

"So cool." the son said in awe of seeing Batman in real life.

"Go, now." Batman said again as the woman grabbed her son's hand tightly and led him out of the alley as they continued running, since more troops kept coming.

"You do not think that you can stop us alone do you?" one of the soldiers asked Batman, who to their surprise, smirked.

"Who says I came here alone?" Batman asked with a slight grin as Supergirl slammed into the ground, creating a shockwave that sent the Atlanteans flying backwards.

"Were you waiting for an entrance line?" Batman asked her.

"Who says you're the only one who can make a dramatic entrance? But now, back to work." Supergirl said and Batman nodded as Supergirl flew off again while Batman fired a grappling hook to do the same.

The other heroes quickly joined the fight, with Superdog sending an entire Atlantean squadron flying back into the ocean they came from with one mighty super bark as he landed on the beach.

Flash was speeding every which way, alternating between disarming Atlanteans and pulling civilians to safety, since due to his limited combat experience, Supergirl had given him strict orders to avoid fighting for now, to focus on getting civilians to safety and disarming the troops, but leaving the actual fighting to those more experienced.

Green Arrow was currently perched on top of a building overlooking the pier firing net and bolo arrows to capture and subdue Atlantean soldiers, but his primary job was to act as the coordinator for the team, since Supergirl had decided that his marksmanship skills would make him a good spotter, directing the rest of the team to where they needed to be, since his skills would be better in that position anyways, since with a bird's eye view, he could hit more targets. He was better utilized.

However, he was distracted from his task when a huge Atlantean bruiser jumped onto his perch.

"Aw what's the matter, you too scared to fight up close and personal? At least the other pathetic human has the decency to fight in close range." The thug said, since Batman was down on the ground with Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, since they were the most experienced combat fighters, Supergirl had them dealing with the ground forces while she, Superman, Superdog and Martian Manhunter served as air support. Green Arrow had to admit, she really was the right person to lead, since she'd been quick to assign the right tasks to the right members of this team, making sure that each of them were put at the right place.

"No, I've got no problem fighting up close and personal, I was just following orders." Green Arrow said as they began to fight, up close and personal.

"We're driving them back." Green Lantern shouted as she created a barrier to drive the Atlanteans back into the sea with her ring.

"Yeah, but not fast enough." Batman commented.

"We need to identify the leader of this attack, since it's clearly not Ocean Master. We take out the leader and the others fall back." Supergirl called out.

"I think I've got that part covered, since the bruiser I'm fighting is twice the size as the others and his armor seems to be more exquisite." Green Arrow said over the comms Supergirl had provided before they'd separated.

"He's right. That guy is dressed as an Atlantean general." Wonder Woman said, since she knew the most about Atlantean armies.

"Then we need to take him alive for information." Supergirl said and the others nodded in agreement.

"Then I could use some help, since while I'm good, this guy is at another strength level. I can't see a way to beat him that doesn't involve me using lethal force." Green Arrow said.

"Wonder Woman, get the leader out of here. We'll need to interrogate him more thoroughly in a secure location." Supergirl said.

"And where would that be?" Wonder Woman asked, since the Tower of Fate wasn't exactly an ideal location for a headquarters.

"The former Argus HQ. Since the organization was dissolved due to corruption, the base is still intact and operational, since it's designed to contain dangerous meta criminals." Green Arrow suggested as Wonder Woman swooped down and grabbed the leader from his fight with Green Arrow.

"Agreed. Go. We'll drive the rest of them back into the ocean. Green Lantern, Superman, with me, we're gonna take out the ships that I can see hiding under the sea. The rest of you, keep the bystanders safe." Supergirl ordered as Superdog barked.

"Superdog, go with Wonder Woman to serve as a guard until we can question him. Everyone else, let's send these creeps back to where they came from." Supergirl shouted as Wonder Woman smirked at the general who thrashed against her hold.

"Release me you ingrate." the general shouted.

"Oh shut up and maybe you'll survive this war." Wonder Woman said as she knocked him out with the hilt of her sword before flying away with Superdog in tow as the remaining heroes returned their attention to the now fleeing Atlantean armies, since with their general captured and Supergirl, Superman and Green Lantern destroying their fleet of ships, they knew the fight was lost and that their king would not be happy about it, but they only had one option left. Retreat.

Which is exactly what they did as the heroes gathered together on the beach, even Wonder Woman had returned.

"What's the status?" Supergirl asked.

"Several people were injured, but nothing serious and no casualties, but some major property damage." Batman said, since the area was in ruins.

"Then all things considered, this was a victory, especially since we captured someone with information and drove the enemy back." Supergirl said as the crowds gathered around them, all of them taking video and pictures of them.

"I guess we're officially a team now." Supergirl said as everyone began cheering for them, even the newbies, Flash and Green Arrow.
