Chapter 18
As the group exited the temple, they found all the Hephaestians bowing to both Arthur and Diana as a sign of respect.
"We should get going. We don't know how much time we have until Orm attacks and now that Arthur has the means to defeat him, we need to be ready." J'onn said.
"Take them back to their ship. Diana and I will join you shortly, but there's something here she needs to see that simply can't wait." Jason said.
"Do we really have time for that?" J'onn asked.
"I promise we'll be quick, but it's necessary." Jason said.
"Go. If you need to leave without me, you can. I can fly myself back just fine." Diana promised and J'onn nodded as he and the others left them alone.
"So, where are we going?" Diana asked.
"Follow me." Jason said as he took flight himself.
"I'm assuming you can fly because you're half god like me?" Diana asked as she joined him in the sky.
"Yes. Most Hephaestians can't fly without technology to aid them. Only those of us with immortal blood in our veins don't have those restrictions." Jason confirmed.
"So, where are we going?" Diana asked and Jason just grinned.
"Follow me." Jason said as he flew off with Diana smiled as she followed him, since for the first time in her life, she felt like she was with someone who truly understood her.
"What is this place?" Diana asked as they arrived at a much more modern building.
"Welcome to the archives for Hephaestia. Where we keep all historical records and information. And there's someone here you need to meet." Jason said as they walked in.
"Prince Jason." one of the archivists said as she bowed to him.
"Please, there's no need for that. Is Donna here?" Jason asked.
"Where else would she be? I swear ever since she came to intern here, that girl has practically moved into the records. She finds them fascinating for some reason I don't understand." the woman said.
"Please go and fetch her. I have someone here I think she'll find much more interesting than old records." Jason said and the woman nodded as she headed back into the archives.
"Who's Donna?" Diana asked and Jason chuckled.
"You'll find out in a minute." Jason said as the woman returned with a teenage girl with dark black hair and Diana couldn't help but be struck by the family resemblance.
"What's going on Jason?" Donna asked, not looking up from the tablet she was holding.
"Look up. I've brought company, someone I think you'll be very eager to meet." Jason said as Donna rolled her eyes and looked up, only to be shocked by what she saw.
"Diana Prince, meet our younger half sister on our father's side, Donna Troy. Another daughter of Zeus. And probably your number one fan." Jason said, shocking Diana as she was suddenly crushed by a hug from the younger girl.
"I didn't know father had another child, I thought that we were his last ones." Diana said, trying to overcome her shock.
"Yes, because that's in line with every story about Zeus. That he ever stops having kids. But Donna is the result of a relationship he had with a regular human. After she was born and her mother died under mysterious circumstances, father guided her here for protection. I've been raising her ever since, but since we do get news of the outside world, Donna is well aware of you and she's always idolized you. Put you on a pedestal." Jason said.
"Is that so." Diana said with a smile as she managed to hug her apparent little sister back.
"Yes, it's my dream to fight alongside you one day." Donna said and Diana smiled.
"You were hoping I'd take her back with me." Diana said.
"Can you?" Donna asked and Diana chuckled at her sister's joy.
"Not right now, since I'm currently helping fight a war against Atlantis that not only are you too young to be a part of, but you're also not experienced enough yet to be a part of it. But I promise that once the war is over and we are getting close to that point, I'll come back for you and we'll figure things out from there. I promise." Diana promised.
"I understand." Donna said, though she was disappointed.
"I just found out I have a sister, I don't want to risk anything happening to you until I've had time to train you." Diana promised.
"Okay." Donna said.
"Now I need to go, but one last thing. I expect you both to attend my wedding, since neither of our parents will be there, since Zeus rarely descends from Olympus and I'm not very happy with mother." Diana said.
"Well it sounds like Donna will definitely be there, but I'd like to meet the man daring to marry my sister before I make any plans." Jason said and Diana smiled.
"We'll make arrangements. But now I need to go." Diana said.
"Good luck. And tell your sisters that they're always welcome here." Jason said.
"I'll pass along the message but don't expect to see mother here anytime soon. She hasn't earned that right." Diana said as she took her leave to return to war.
The actress playing Donna Troy is Kira Kosarin
