Operation
As the six heroes went back to the Batcave, Batman called Hal, asking, "Hal, did you get Superman and Lois to the Batcave?" Hal answered and said, "yeah, I did. The Kryptonite bullet is lodged in Superman's chest. Alfred's been trying to use the scalpel to cut into his chest so that I can use my willpower to remove the bullet, but his skin is so strong, it could potentially bend the scalpel, which ain't gonna do Supes any favors." Batman grunted and said, "okay, we'll be there soon. Batman out." He hung up and said to Barbara, "Batgirl, when we get to the cave, get the red solar lamps."
"Are you planning on redecorating the Batcave?" Flash jokingly asked. "We've studied the anatomy of a Kryptonian. A Kryptonian's cells are like batteries," explained Batman, "when exposed to the yellow rays of the sun, the Kryptonian cells reach extraordinary levels. Which are how Superman gets his powers. Take away the yellow sun, and Superman's powers slowly deteriorate." Flash gave a look of amazement. "The people of Krypton lived under a red sun," chimed Batgirl, "the red sun would make Superman as human as Bruce and I." Flash nodded and said, "ah, I get it! So you're going to use some lamps that are fueled by the rays of a red sun to temporarily weaken Superman so that Alfred can use the scalpel to take out the Kryptonite bullet!" Batman smirked and said, "you catch on quickly, Allen." The others were impressed with this idea.
They soon made it back to the cave, Batgirl immediately started replacing the regular lamps with lamps that are fueled by a red sun. Lois was by Clark's side, holding his hand. A few minutes later, Batman felt Clark's wounded flesh and said, "his flesh is tender. Let's get to work. Clark, I don't know if you can hear me, but I want to apologize in advance, because this is going to hurt a lot." Alfred then used his scalpel to cut into Clark's flesh. Clark moaned in pain, gritting his teeth. Once Alfred was finished cutting Clark's chest, he said, "alright, there should be enough room inside his flesh for you to use the will-power in your ring to get into Clark's chest to take out the Kryptonite bullet, Mr. Jordan. We'll start on the count of 3. One... Two... Three!" Hal then used the willpower in his ring to form two tentacles, and the two tentacles went inside Clark's chest, and then grabbed the Kryptonite bullet, taking it out of his chest. Clark then gasped, bolting awake. "Kill the lights!" Batman ordered. The red solar lights were turned off, and Clark breathed intensely. "Thank God you're alright," said Lois as she kissed him, being careful not to touch his wounded chest, which was slowly healing. "Clark, are you okay?" Batman asked, concerned for his well-being. "I'm pretty far from okay," said Clark, "I almost died tonight..."
He took one look at the Kryptonite bullet, and winced. He despised that thing. Batgirl contained it with lead. Clark sighed in relief. "Bruce, Barbara, Alfred, Hal..." Clark said, "I want to thank all of you for saving my life. I owe you big time." Hal gave a respectful nod and said, "no problem Clark." The Man of Steel stood up and said, "I need time... to heal..." He then bolted out of the Batcave, not as fast as he usually was, but still fast nonetheless. "If you want Miss Lane, I'll take the liberty of sewing the bullet hole in your boyfriend's suit," offered Alfred. "Thank you Mr. Pennyworth, I appreciate that," said Lois. "Alright everyone," said Batman, "we need to focus on where Steppenwolf is, and how to stop him for good."
