[A few years later]

SMACK!!!!

"Wake up , rookie" a voice said.

Jaune woke up from his nap

"Ow!" Jaune exclaimed as he felt the pain from the hit.

"Ah did that hurt?, Next you wanna nap , try and sleep somewhere I can't find you" the voice said

Jaune looked up and saw

This is Ghost, Jaune's long time friend in Task Force 117, a military unit that Jaune has been a part of.

Jaune smirked.

"Can't find me huh, like how you can't find a woman that deals with your bullshit ?" Jaune said with sarcasm.

"Oh you got jokes now,do you ?" Ghost said joking 

Jaune stood up

"I've learned from the master of sarcasm, which unfortunately is you" Jaune said.

Ghost just gave him a look.

"TEN HUT!!!"

Jaune and Ghost stood at attention as their Sargent came into the room

This was Sargent Johnson , the toughest S.O.B ever born. He was known for writing the book on ass-kicking and then took that book to boot camp.

"Arc, I see that Ghost has found you ready "

"Sir yes sir"

"Sleeping on the job again?" Johnson asked.

"Sorry sir, Just thinking" Jaune apologized with a sense of sadness ,as this happened before.

Johnson and Ghost looked at each other, knowing what happens..... the memories of his family and the nightmares on the missions before he joined Task Force 117.

"Listen I know you're still recovering from ..those days but we're heading out soon" Johnson said.

Jaune nodded 

"Find the others and then report to the center for the briefing".

Jaune then grabbed his gear and began to look for the others around the base

Jaune walked around, looking for the rest of the team, greeting other soilders as he headed to the shooting range.

He walked in and saw

John "Soap" MacTavish: The second in command of the group. He had given Jaune a hard time when he started. But During a mission, Jaune was caught by the enemy and refused to rat out Soap who was undercover.Thus , this action earned his respect

"Jaune, here for a rematch" Soap asked as prepared to load his rifle

Jaune shook his head

"Nope, Sarge told me to get everyone and report for the briefing

"Really, another one?" Soap asked

"Yep,by the way know where everyone else is at?" Jaune asked.

"Chris might be at the mess hall,Vasquez is probably at the armory, fixing her gun, Man's best friend is around the base, looking for you and I don't know where the last is at." Soap said.

"Ok, thanks, I'll see at the briefing soon" Jaune said as turned and left the range.

He then stopped at the door and looked back

" Oh by the way, last time, I won

Soap just shook his head with face of amusement

"What does she see in him, I have no idea" Soap said.

Jaune then headed to the mess hall and found another member of the team

Chris Redfield: He had been a member of S.T.A.R.S before he joined Task Force 117. He and Jaune have brother bond, since they both joined the team at the same time , and also he was Chris's best man at his wedding.

As Jaune headed to talk to him, he then noticed the other member of the team as well.

Pvt. Jenette Vasquez:The heavy of the group, she and Jaune have brother-sister relationship as the two grew up together homeless. After Jaune arrived, he meet Vasquez, the two protected each other, fighting for survival, till they were offered place in the military and were separated with Vasquez being selected to Task Force 117, and Jaune being selected to the other unit 

"Hey Chirs,Vasquez , Sarge says we're heading out, head for the center and be there soon" Jaune said.

"Ok" Chris said as he left.

"By the way , have you seen Her around? "Jaune asked Vasquez.

"Nope, what did you do this time?" Vasquez asked

"Nothing, at least I think " Jaune said

"WOOF!"

"Looks like you have help to find her, see you three there" Vasquez said a she left as Jaune turned and saw

"Hey boy, I was wondering where you were at" Jaune said as he petted the dog.

This was Locke, their K-9 companion, They had meet him during a mission and this dog saved their lives by tarmacking the sniper by surprise.

"Hey boy, can you find your mom?"

Locke barked and ran, while Jaune followed him around the base ,Locke kept running, till he stopped with Jaune following and saw her

Sheva, the expert with shotguns

She had been with another unit called Ghost Unit

Locke ran up to her,barking happily , as Sheva petted him

"Hey boy, I was wondering where you went, do you find him?" Sheva said.

"Yep, He did" Jaune said as he walked closer

Jaune and Sheva looked at each other, they then embraced as they kissed each other as they are in a relationship 

It had started about a 2 years ago, The two had met on a mission that required them and the others to help stop a Dictatorship on a few towns. During the mission, Jaune took a bullet for her, which allowed her to take the shoot at the enemy leader. During Jaune's recovery , the two began to talk and bond over similar things. Then during  a Shore-Leave , Jaune nervously express his feelings for her, Sheva just smiled at his nervousness and him fumbling his words, till she kissed him saying "What took you so long?".

"Another mission" Sheva said as the two walked to the center.

"Yep" Jaune said.

The two walked to the center base,as the meeting began.

"OK, now that you two are , we can begin now." Sarge said as the other sat down.

"We're heading to an abandoned enemy base, Intel says this base is a hot spot for info on The Ten Rings" Johnson said.

"Really, but aren't they usually and  completely barren when  they leave a comprised base?" Jaune asked as he had tangled with them before.

"You're right Arc, but this base is different" Johnson said as he pulled out the map of the location.

"Intel says that it's still surrounded by small enemy groups around the base, almost as if they're protecting something."

"So what's the plan Sarge ?" Soap asked.

We'll be dropped a far from a group stationed at this high point, once we clear out that group, Jaune will give us sniper support while the rest of us will head down to the base and grab the info and get out quick, but stay sharp up there Arc, we can't risk the other groups noticing us or we'll be boxed in there. Dismissed"

The team was inside the chopper as Jaune sat there reloading his sniper

'I still can't shake this feeling that something about this mission doesn't make sense, the Ten Rings never just leave behind info, what's really going on here?' Jaune thought 

And the first chapter is done, Hopefully you all enjoy this, don't worry we should be getting to the league soon, I just wanna build up Jaune's backstory here
