The reception of the hotel was strangely silent, and even though he rang the bell several times, nobody answered.

He saw an open door behind the counter and quietly went over, just for a peek.

He pushed the door open and saw a lounge area, full with dust and spiderwebs. He looked around in disgust and went inside. No human being has been in this hotel in years according to how the place looks like.
He came out of the lounge and looked around in the lobby.

"This was the best hotel around here that I found on the internet..." he mumbled under his breath.

"It WAS, back in the olden days," answers a woman behind him in a very high pitched voice, "This used to be one of the best hotels out there. Five stars, it used to be my father's."

He slowly turned around and saw a slim woman, probably in her 90's.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"Leo. Leonard Kevin Montanez," he said in an obviously scared voice. He has been shocked by the woman, who seemed nice.

"Ah, here you are! You called in, in 2017 May fifth at six o four pm, am I right?" she said in glee from behind a gigantic book.

"Exactly," He answered in fright.

He leaned over the counter and peered into the book.

The last person on the list was called Kevin McGuier, and the date was 1957 May fifth, written in the same handwriting as the woman wrote in.

"Exactly sixty years since the last guest..." she said as she sighed, "Now come along, let me show you your room. You'll sleep near me because anything can appen in this place. And I mean ANYTHING," she said looking into his eyes with a straight face, "Hurry up, get your bags!"

"Room onehundred and six. Call me if you need me!" she said as she was wanting to walk away.

"Excuse me, I never caught your name...?" He asked suspiciously.

"Oh, you'll know..." she shouted back
while going down the stairs swiftly.

As he opened the door he saw something was very suspicious with the room.
