First Day by @BlizzyKitty12

Author's Note: This isn't really my writing style, but this story came to mind and I decided to write it. I'm not going to finish it because I am a very lazy person, but I hope everyone gets to see how I write. I'm usually more into cats and elemental peeps, but an idea just came to mind, so yeah :3

Jesylin Byres, otherwise known as the 'pig', 'queen' or 'representative bully' of Ashington High. She could be found pulling innocents bra straps, gossiping in the lunch room about which two classmates would have the ugliest kids or scouring the hallways for her next victim. Everyone was afraid of her, the evil smirk, cold blue eyes and her high pitched giggly laugh. But had anyone stopped to think- what about life in her shoes?

The cold stares, anxious faces and sweaty palms. From childhood, nobody had ever paid any attention to her, only when she constantly embarrassed herself in front of her classmates either getting sprayed from the water fountain, not watching the pg-13 movies that everyone else did or just bringing Teddy Bear Graham's for snack time. Nobody had ever given her a chance, and she'd never learned to make friends by just being kind.

She began by making herself follow  the so called 'pretty' standards of the US; Dying her hair blond, buying glittery, revealing clothing items and brand-name makeup. She'd assumed the only way to get attention is by drawing attention, so she tried to use power. When that worked, she simply got a few of the most popular girls and told them to follow her lead; Or else they'd end up in a similar situation as the other kids in their grade, crying themselves to sleep just by thinking of what horrors Jesylin would wrath upon them tomorrow.

Gathered by her crew, she dominated Middle School, soon becoming a 'spirited' Freshman, quickly regaining her status at Ashington. Little did she know that soon, a small, awkward, so called 'human being' would come clawing at her doorstep, making her surrender everything she'd ever worked for.

Ashely stared at the ceiling, a white canvas of dried paint and cobwebs. Sighing, she rolled over on her bed, checking what time it was. 6:29. In exactly one minute her mother would call for her to eat breakfast, and she hadn't even gotten dressed; Low and behold, ready for school. She stared harder, amber eyes burning into the alarms small, boxy black frame.

6:29.

6:29.

6:30.

"Honey, your cereals getting soggy." Her mom yelled from downstairs.

Groaning dramatically, she hollered back, "One second!"

Getting up and out of her bed, she looked for something to wear. A sweater? Maybe a flashy miniskirt? Possibly a classic oversized t-shirt and jeans? She looked over her 3 options, immediately crossing the second one off the list. Slowly, her head turned over to the giant, dark red t-shirt with a rock band logo on them, long jeans with a piece of who-knows-what attached to them. I guess that will do. Who cares about making first impressions? It's not like anybody would care.

Bundling up her clothes, she walked over to her bathroom to get dressed. After brushing her teeth, she looked up into the mirror, paying attention to small details. Her brown hair was slightly oily, amber eyes a bit dulled, freckles fading of her oval face. With a deep breath, she got a palms full of water and splashed it across her face. With another deep breath, she came out, towel on hand. Thundering down the stairs in her white vans, she approached her mom.

"Honey, it's already 6:42. What took you so long?"

Ashely shrugged, "I dunno. But I'm hungry." She went over to the dining room, were her bowl lay sadly at the table, spoon at its side. Taking giant bites, she was finished by the time she was supposed to go.

"Have fun at school, sweetie. I know it's your first day," She smiled, short brown hair cropping her round, circular face.

"I'm sure I will," Ashely mumbled, heaving her backpack onto her shoulders. "Take care,"

She went outside, and waited for the bus, thinking of every possible way her school day could go wrong.

<~>

"Look at what we have here," Jesylin sneered, nose scrunched up, icy blue eyes sparkling playfully.

Ashely quickly diverted her eyes from the girl in front of her, wearing a strapless jumpsuit with sparkly pink sequins, focusing on getting to her first class. Suddenly, Jesylin sprung in front of her.

"You don't think that we'll let you go off without a proper welcoming, do you?" She threw her head back, her high pitched giggles ringing through the hallway.

"Come with us,"

Ashely found herself in a dark closet, palms sweaty. How had she let them put her here?

"Alright, dear."She heard a snooty girls voice from the other side of the door. "We'll be back soon, can't be late for class,"

She gaped, disbelieved. The first day of school, and she had already managed to get stuck in a closet AND be late for class? Rage struck through her.

"Let. Me. OUT."

She snorted, "Ha. Very funny, but we don't take orders from low-beings."

She could hear footsteps walking away, getting dimmer until a voice broke through her trance.

"Good luck,"

Ashely slid to the ground, crying. Why were people in this world so mean? So.... CRUEL?

Suddenly, an idea struck her mind, an idea so bad that she smirked, thinking of Jesylin Byres face gasping with shock as she pulled away a curtain, revealing her masterpiece.
