Chapter 4

Chapter 4

When Nagisa awoke again, it was mid evening. The small boy blinked a few times and sat up slowly, pulling off the warm blanket that was mysteriously placed on him.

Where am I?

"Ah. You've finally woken up." Nagisa heard a plop! and saw a taller boy with distinct red hair.

Karma?

"Care to tell me why the hell you were at my door half-dead?" Nagisa's eyes widened as he remembered.

He was thrown out by his mother, and the only logical place to go was his ex-best friends house. Nagisa remembered that Karma's parents were usually never home. They were usually on vacations around the world or something. That explained the absence of cars, but just to be sure...

"Your parents aren't home, right?" Karma's eyebrows furrowed.

"No, but what does that do to answer my question?" Nagisa's expression saddened.

"Sorry Karma, I really don't feel like explaining right now." And just like that something snapped inside Karma, his eyes softened, his posture seemed to relax, all playfulness in his eyes dissolved.

"I see. Are you okay?" Nagisa was surprised. It was like they were small kids again, when Karma showed his care. Nagisa forgot there was even this side to him.

Nagisa smiled gratefully. "I'm fine. I'll explain it as soon as I think I can. I'm really sorry." Karma gave him a wink.

"Don't be. Anyway, did you have breakfast? In your sleep, your stomach was growling. You hungry for lunch?" Nagisa gazed at a clock. Lunch at 3:15, eh?

Nagisa nodded and removed his blanket completely, standing up slowly. He knew he could trust Karma to take care of him. Karma led the way to the kitchen, a big place with expensive equipment. "What you want to eat?"

Nagisa shrugged. "Whatever you want, I'll have." Karma nodded his head and shooed him out so he could cook.

"By the way, Nagisa-kun!" Karma called from the kitchen, stopping the blunette from returning to his cozy couch. "If you want to take a shower, use the one in my room! You remember where my room is, right? You can use some of my clothes. Just go through my dresser."

Nagisa yelled back a thanks and made a bee-line for the taller boys room. Nagisa sighed in delight as he walked in, seeing nothing had changed. It was a plain room, with dark blue walls and a white queen bed with a dresser to the side and a window on the other. On the opposite side of the door, a bathroom was kept with a shower and toilet with sink.

Nagisa quickly undressed his skimpy girl clothing and hopped in. The warmth of the water relieved tension in his muscles and his long hair clung to his back.

After his shower, he wrapped a white towel around his small frame and peeked outside, just to make sure no one was in the room. When he saw no one, he stepped out, feeling the hair on the back of his neck stand.

He rummaged through Karma's clothing. It was all a size too big, but he picked out some jeans and a black v-neck shirts, Karma's usual attire.

Unfortunately, Karma didn't have anything to hold up his hair, so he opted for the 2 red ribbons that he was forced to put on that morning.

The blunette put the towel back and folded his clothes, flushing pink at how Karma must have reacted to him in girl clothing. Boy, he won't let that go.

He put them in the hamper near the sink and slowly walked out, seeing a very busy Karma in the kitchen. Nagisa would have helped him set up the plates if he already didn't do that himself.

Karma heard the small patter of the blunette and looked up and smiled before smirking as he saw Nagisa in his clothes. Ah, much better. He probably wears them better than I do.

He shook those thoughts. What the fuck? Why did I just think that?! Nagisa grinned. "I wish your clothes actually fit me better."

Karma chuckled. "I'm almost done, hold on a bit." Nagisa strained his neck to see, but Karma seemed to be hiding the meal. "It's a surprise."

Nagisa shrugged and sat on the table counter near Karma, making him a few inches taller. "Need help?" Karma laughed lightly.

"What don't you get about surprises?" Nagisa pouted. "I was just trying to be polite."

"Well, I'm done, so just sit down." Nagisa saluted the red head and sat down in his seat while Karma set down the food.

"Sushi!" The blunette looked up at Karma excitedly. Karma smirked and let him serve himself.

As they ate, Nagisa couldn't help but ask. "When you gave me your lunch yesterday, did you make that?" Karma nodded. "Yeah. I don't really trust anyone else's food besides my own. I guess when I get a wife I'll have to trust her cooking, but for now I don't."

Nagisa gaped. "Wait, so when your parents come home, you don't even trust theres?"

"I'm sure when I was little I did, but now that I can make my own crap, I eat it more than theirs."

After they finished, the two cleaned the table. "Where are your parents this time?" Karma chuckled. "I think they said somewhere in America, but that was ages ago."

Nagisa felt bad for Karma. Even when he was little, his parents weren't always around him. Karma seemed to spot the smaller boys sadness and smiled. "Its okay. I don't really mind the silence and the space. Plus I've grown used to it."

As the boys finished dinner, Nagisa grew guilty. "Hey, Karma." Karma whipped his head from the dirty dishes to stare at the blunette. "What's up?"

"Listen, it's been really nice that you've taken me in, but I think my mom's gonna start getting worried and I don't want to be a burden to you anymore." In truth, Nagisa was almost certain his mother forgot about him. She was probably enjoying that dinner party and never even hesitated to think about her only son.

"Nah, you're not a burden. I actually like the company and you always used to come here every week. Plus, when mom and dad were home, they loved you. You can stay however long you want." Nagisa looked up and smiled, warmed that his best friend would say something so sweet.

"Plus, it gives me more of a chance to tease you."

Aaaaaand, touching moment gone. Nagisa knew that the charming Karma had a teasing side and there was no mercy there.

Once the dishes were cleaned, Karma grabbed Nagisa's hand and led him to the living room. Nagisa blushed at the warmth and let him take the smaller boy where ever he pleased.

"Okay, Nagisa-kun. This is the hardest part of your stay. Do you wanna sleep on the couch or sleep on my bed?" Nagisa blushed crimson.

"Uh, I don't want to push you from your bed so I'll take the co-"

"Alright! My bed it is."

Nagisa glared at Karma. "Ya know, if you were gonna pick for me, you didn't have to give me a choice." Kamra shrugged and gave him a smirk.

"Its more fun that way."

With an irritated Nagisa in tow, the two boys made their way to Karma's bedroom.

They sat on the edge and Karma stared at Nagisa.

"Alright, some rules before we sleep. First rule, this is my side and that's yours. We don't cross sides, ever. Second rule, no eating or drinking on the bed. Third rule, no jumping on the bed. And last rule, if you snore, you're out. Got it?"

Nagisa blinked. "WAIT, WE'RE GOING TO SHARE A BED?" Karma didn't looked fazed. He nodded.

Nagisa glanced at the door. "Ya know what, I think I suddenly hear the couch calling my name, I gotta go see what he wants. I'll see you tomorrow morning, k? K."

The blunette stood up before being swept by a strong arm. He was forced to sit back down on Karma. It took him seconds to realize he was straddling the red head. He blushed and made a move to get off, but Karma squeezed his hips, making Nagisa gasp.

"W-what are you doing?" Karma gave an innocent smile.

"Sleep with me." Nagisa shivered at his husky voice.

"Uhm, well, I-I don't want to take your bed, and I don't mind the cou-"

In one fast motion, Karma pinned Nagisa against the bed. The blunettes heart raced and his eyes widened.

"Strip."
