I watched as he made his way inside the building. His words still ringing in my head.

You killed people like they are nothing.

It shouldn't affect me, but it did.

You took away lives.

Every word he said was true.

You are a monster.

I am. I have no feelings. I know I am a ruthless person. But no one ever told me I was a monster.

I sighed as I walked inside behind him.

I was given this job and I have to do it. I never back down from anything.

"Asher, wait" I shouted as I got down the flight of stairs.

"What?"

"Where are you going? There are people who want you dead out there. You can't just walk off like that."

"Why do you even care, huh? All you do is kill. You are a murde-"

"Don't" I cut him of. "Don't you dare call me that."

"What else do you want me to call you? Huh?'

"Yes, I accept I killed people. Many of them. But did you just think twice before calling me a murderer? I don't kill for power, Asher."

"What is so good about killing people? Why even bother doing it?"

"The best thing is the killing part, It makes me feel invincible. But trust me, I'm not a murderer."

"What's the difference? You kill for pleasure don't you?"

"The people I just killed right now, they were going to kill an innocent person. They were going to kill her too. Isn't she your friend Ash?" I asked as he looked away.

I know he recognized her as Peggy. I saw it in his eyes.

"Eli.." Olivia's voice brought us out from our staring match. We both looked at he. She was panting, barely able to hold her brother who was unable to stand or even stay awake for that fact.

Asher was beside her within a second helping her brother stand.

"We need to take him to a hospital." Asher said as Richard started coughing blood.

"Shit. Hurry up" I cursed as I made way to my car with the three hot on my heels.

The nearest hospital was a thirty minute drive, well if you followed the rules.

So, fifteen minutes later we were rushing an unconscious Richard towards the emergency room.

"There are a few forms you need to fill up ma'am" a nurse who was probably a few years older than us said.

"And since it was a fight and he was beaten up pretty bad, you need to inform the police" she continued looking at the three of us.

"No need of the police. It's taken care of." Olivia said taking her wallet from inside of her pocket. "I'm with the CIA" she said.

"Well, the police is for your own safety, ma'am." The nurse said and left.

"It's been a long day" Olivia sighed.

"And thank you very much for your help, Eli" she smiled at me.

"It's totally fine. I'm just glad your brother is safe"

"Me too." She smiled at me before facing Asher.

"I'm sorry we had to meet like this" she said. "And I'm also sorry for lying to you"

"It's fine, it's a part of your job." He smiled back.

"You are really a good person, Ash" she extended her hand "Olivia Siemens, it's nice to officially meet you"

"Don't you think handshakes are a bit too formal for friends?" He asked before pulling her into a hug.

"It's nice to finally meet the real you" he smiled as they pulled away.

"We better get going." I said making them look at me. I did not want to break their moment, but for the first time in my life I felt like a third wheel.

"Yeah. We do. See you soon Olivia" he said hugging her once more before walking out with me.

The ride home has been silent. No one spoke a word.

Asher's driveway was empty, that meant Lucy wasn't home yet.

I followed him out of the car into his house. He looked back at me and unlocked the door before walking in.

I sighed.

This is going to be one long evening.
