Chapter 20

"Finally alone" Ash said pushing me against the wall in my room.

"And I'm starting to think you don't like company."

"No, I just don't like sharing you." He said placing a small kiss on my cheek and moving down.

"So I'm yours to share?" I asked him smiling.

"Hell yeah and I don't plan on sharing you." He said now sucking on a spot on my neck dragging a moan from me.

"If you leave a hickey, I'll punch you" I warned him.

"I don't doubt that." He said pulling back and looked at me in the eye.
"And I think it's too late for the warning." He said with amusement in his voice.

I smiled at him. I am becoming mushy.

"You are making me go soft and feel all sorts of things I've never felt before." I told him.

"You are human El. You are supposed to feel."

"But it makes me weak."

"No it doesn't. It makes you stronger."

"I'm really glad I met you." I told him.

"I'm glad I got drunk that night."

"I was hoping you'd forget."

"How can I forget such an angelic face?"

"Yeah right. Apparently it is love at first sight."

"I said that?"

"You don't remember?"

"Not everything. It's like a blank in my memory. I just remember parts of it."

"Well, it's different in my case. I remember everything."

Flashback: (Lena's POV: after Asher left the party)

It was just like any other day. I was doing one of my projects. But this time it was different. It's not only in a city but also I am supposed to kill a local gangster.

I absolutely hated chasing and this guy is making me run across the city. This made me contemplate giving him a slow and painful death, but no. I don't have that much of patience. He is having a bullet to his head along with his group of goons.

As he lead me through an alley, I had enough. I don't want to run anymore. I killed almost all of them, except these four. But this is the last alley. I'm not running anymore.

I saw them stumbling upon something or rather someone and slowing down.

I pulled out my gun and fed my bullets to two of the four guys. They both fell down dead. The third one stood behind the person who they stumbled upon and the fourth (who was the leader) stood behind the both.

The guy looked like my age. By the tint in his cheeks and the way he was standing, even with a knife to his neck, he was clearly drunk. Teenagers and their constant need of getting drunk.

"Kill him first, if you want to kill me. I don't think it's in you to kill a civilian" he smirked at me.

"Come on, I don't need to kill him if I want to kill you. Both of us know it. So, leave him alone and I will make it less painful." I warned him.

"Less painful?" The person holding the knife asked me rising an eyebrow.

"Yup. A bullet to the head. You'll be gone before you know it. Or else, a bullet to your liver or stomach. I'll watch you bleed to death." I said with a cold voice.

I saw the guy's eyes widen in fear. I smirked. I saw him loosen his hand around the knife.

"I'm done waiting" I told lifting my gun again. Two heartbeats and two gun shots later both the guys dropped down dead.

"That was a lot of drama" I told myself and looked at the guy. He was staring at me with wide eyes.

I really hope he forgets everything by tomorrow. I don't think he could digest witnessing a murder.

"Um... Hey?" I tried greeting him. I don't know what mental stage he is in currently.

"You saved me." He told.

"What?" I frowned in confusion.

"He was going to kill me, if it wasn't for you." He said walking towards me and throwing his arms around me.

I froze. No one ever hugged me, other than Jake and Tyler. I awkwardly patted his back.

"Um... You're welcome.. I guess?"

He smiled back at me.

"Can you walk home? Do you want me to come along?" I asked him. I didn't think he could walk home without passing out halfway.

"Sure. I really want to spend my time with you." He laughed at my baffled look and dragged me with him by entwining our fingers.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"You can call me El." I told him. I don't know why I said that. No one other than Cindy called me that.

"El is a nice name. I'm Ash." He said smiling down at me. He was like a kid.

Even as we reached his house he did not let go of me. He unlocked the door and dragged me in. He took me to a room, which I was hoping was his.

It was really clean for a teenager. Nothing is out of place. The grey and white theme brought beauty to the room.

"I love you." The words made me snap out of my personal bubble and look at Ash, my eyes wide and lips slightly parted. I didn't care I looked funny at the moment. But I wasn't expecting him say the words, which I knew wasn't true.

"No, you don't." I told him. "It's the alcohol speaking and you won't even remember me tomorrow morning."

"No, I will. I can never forget a face like yours. I can never forget the dark curls. I can never forget you."

"You don't even know me. You don't love me." I looked at his face, taking in his handsome features. His brown hair and eyes so familiar yet different. His lips full and his angled cheekbones. There is no way someone like him, is single. "And I don't think your girlfriend approves of you loving someone else."

"I don't have a girlfriend. Will you be my girlfriend?" Oh God...

"You are drunk and you don't know what you are talking about. Just go to bed and sleep it off so that you can regret it tomorrow."

"I know what I am talking about. It's love at first sight. I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Would you sleep if I said yes?" I asked him.

"Yes. After a goodnight kiss."

"Okay then. Yes, I will be your girlfriend, because by tomorrow you won't remember any of this. And now off to bed."

"What about my kiss?"

I sighed and leaned towards him and pressed my lips to his cheek.

"Goodnight Ash." I told him as he smiled and went back to bed.

"I really hope you forget everything by tomorrow." I told him, as I jumped out of his window and climbed down the roof.

I hoped he'd forget everything by tomorrow, even though a large part of me did want him to remember.

End of flashback.

"So, since you said yes. You are my girlfriend, even before we officially met." He smiled at me.

"That means you are my boyfriend." I told him. I never thought I'd say something like that in my lifetime.

"That means we just made things official." He said tightening his hold around my waist.

"That means we are a couple." I told him pulling him closer.

"That means..." He said pulling me into a hug. I could hear laughter in his voice. "We have to find a ship name for us."

"Hell no." I groaned
as he laughed and hugged me even tighter.

I'm really glad, he got drunk that night.
